My last post, the one about how funny it is that Boston and Ottawa isn't considered a real rivalry, made me think too hard about all of the matchups in the PWHL and the degree to which they might be considered rivalries.

Then I made a bunch of pictures.

Key findings:

1. No one really has beef with Toronto. I know Montreal is always spicy hockey but I don't think Montreal fans dislike Toronto the same way Toronto fans dislike Montreal. Their hatred for Boston is greater. Toronto fans please chime in if you hate anyone else besides Montreal.

2. Boston is the IT GIRL of this graphic. Everyone either has a rivalry with them or wants to.

3. Ultimately the mutuality of the hatred is what makes a rivalry great. The ones everyone is gagged about are the ones where both parties consider it beef. (Consider the recent explosion of NY vs. Ottawa over NY vs. Boston. I'm under the impression Fleet fans don't consider the Sirens real rivals because the match has been so one-sided. This waters it down A LOT even though trust me we still hate each other in every other context, and leaves room for NY vs. Ottawa, a much more even match with reasons for both fanbases to dislike the opposing team, room to be superior.)

4. I have probably missed something, because I am one guy who is a fan of one team and I don't really watch when NY isn't playing, so chime in your thoughts!
