Three tragic incidents
In the last couple of days we were confronted with a great amount of human human anguish that was inflicted upon people in the context of a world that seemingly indicate that the world comes apart more and more. As showcased in Syria, Ukraine, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, the forgotten conflicts in Sudan and the Central African Republic and the sad truth is that this list could be prolonged by a substantial measure. But three of them probably stood out in a particular way for their gruesome character:
On Friday, 20th of March four suicide attacks targeted on mosques occurred in the Yemenite capital capital Sanaa killing 142 and wounding 351 people. Yemen, due to its poor economic performance and low standard of living is in a quite cynical way nicknamed  poorhouse of the Arab peninsula, has been shook by heavy violence for quite some time now and nearly borders a civil war as interim president Hadi fleed the capital, the Huti rebels taking charge and Saudi Arabia possibly even intervening in near future but the recent bombing is one of the worst attacks even for the truly saddening standards of Yemen.
On Wednesday, 25th of March terrorists abducted up to 500 women and children in Nigerian city of Damask near the border to Niger. As in the case of Yemen, Nigeria has had to live with recurring violence by terrorist organizations especially in the North which yet has to be stopped by the Nigerian army and its allies of the bordering states of Cameroon, Niger and Chad.
On Tueasday, 24th of March Germanwings flight  9525 crashed killing 144 passengers and 6 members of the crew.
One might think that suppose that these tragedies receive adequate and relatively equal media coverage and attention by officials. But that sadly wasn’t the case a great deal was wrote, said and aired about 4U9525, not so in the case of Damask abduction or the Sanaa bombing. My intention is not to ascertain the intention of this behavior, I merely wish to point this out and raise attention to this point as this I hold this “phenomenon” which also was observable after the tragic attacks of March 7th in Paris and the act of violence inflicted on the populace of Nigerian village Baga and surrounding area.
This google trends chart shows the discrepancy described above:
