Having an anxiety disorder is like that moment where your chair almost tips or you miss a step going down the stairs but it never stops

Columbia University Student Will Drag Her Mattress Around Campus Until Her Rapist Is Gone
“I think the act of carrying something that is normally found in our bedroom out into the light is supposed to mirror the way I’ve talked to the media and talked to different news channels, etc,” Emma continues in the full video which you can watch here.

Okay so I see things on Tumblr ALL THE TIME that say stuff such as “Real women have curves” and “Real men like curves, only dogs like bones” and this needs to STOP. Shaming someone for being skinny is just as bad as shaming someone for being curvy or overweight. Some of my closest friends are really thin and whoa guess what? They are perfectly healthy and don’t have eating disorders. Just because someone is skinny does not mean they are anorexic or bulimic or anything else okay? I know a lot of people on Tumblr are obsessed with having a thigh gap, but you all ignore the other side that literally makes fun of and degrades the women that do have one. Some women, like me, are born with naturally wide hips. I don’t have the smallest thighs, but I naturally have one, and it is extremely hurtful when I get comments like “You should eat more” or “Why aren’t you eating? You don’t need to diet, you’re already a stick!” Maybe I’m just not hungry?? Telling someone they look like a skeleton is just as bad as telling someone that they look like a whale. Probably the worst comment I’ve ever seen is that 0 isn’t a size. Does that mean everyone that wears size zero doesn’t exist then? When women insult other women for their weight, it just makes men think its okay for them to do it. Look, we are all beautiful and our weight should not contribute to how we see each other. We shouldn’t have to put others down to make ourselves feel better. You guys are all lovely okay? <3
