There is a new farmer in town. For a sleepy place like Mineral Valley, this is definitely exciting news.

The caption of Iori's Instagram story reads, “Welcoming the new farmer to the Valley today!” accompanied by the emojis of a female farmer and the sun. Mayor Hida has his back facing the camera, hands clasped behind him as he looks out for what Takeru assumes is the morning bus from The City. “Huh,” Takeru hums to himself. “A new farmer, hey?”

(Or: Takeru is an NPC in a cozy farming game. He observes and interacts with the new villager and main character, Farmer Yagami Hikari.)
