My old friend said she misses when I'm "chaotic" (I have so much disdain for that word). "I'm no fun anymore." My ex said she'd give me a call if she ever "got bored" again.

I've been reduced down to entertainment.

2017

My trauma made me feel like things were happening to me. I had no control over things I tried so hard for. I came out of it believing my actions are futile.

2021

I got so much love from fake friends enabling me to self-sabotage. I remember thinking nothing was that big of a deal, I felt so small. I learned I'd get connection if I could give them an exciting time. I confused that for a meaningful supportive connection.

2023

When I process everything, I enter a dark place. It's hard to move on, really. I try to make up for what I've done, but sometimes I still feel like a puppet on string. I'm bound to people's forgiveness, and I'm bound to their desire for entertainment: two sides of the same coin I've been flipping back and forth.

I really wish I had friends who loved me just because and helped me make positive choices. I constantly fight the urge to detach, just so I can feel better for a single moment.
