A staunch woman with nothing to hide but her secret push for the power, Dr. Holland Frost echoes her name in frigid ruthlessness. Her days as a top leading consultant on technological and bio-engineering development exceed expectations. Her work dabbles in the highest quality of production, mastering new found techniques in tech science.Holland’s hand in bioTech is still firm despite the rocky post divorce relationship with CEO husband Johnathan Royce. She still seeks to take over the company fully but bides time backing her own studios network of scientific studies in Frost Enterprises. Dabbling in artificial intelligence and human experimentation is unethical itself but a step in the direction of science’s future. Whether it is a failure in the end is a great question. There is more than meets the eye in what her hands are dirty in but top secret is the clause. Getting her start in the early stages of synthetic cell reproduction, Holland is a formidable scientist versed in perfectionism. In her years she has gained somewhat of a cool reputation. Calculating and precise, the doctor takes everything her hands touch seriously. At times blood has painted them but Holland never considers what they do murder. Experimentation takes more than blood, sweat and tears. It’s something that paved the way for her expulsion in college, a secret only a handful knew, including her ex husband.
Beginning early on, parents were of money (father was a cutthroat in the business of pharmaceuticals leading to some breakthroughs in civilian medicine) and as any daughter born in the ranks of silver spoons it became easy for her to gain a foothold in bio-engineering. All she had to do is take her family’s name along with her. College owned her time and attention in pursuit of knowledge; she adapted to an environment where men remained the leading power behind technological advancement. Did it stop her from succeeding by any means necessary? Hardly and the difference between Frost and her colleagues all came down to compassion. Hers was severely lacking. To this day many who work with her might say the same thing. Holland experimented early on. It’s what ultimately drove her hand in this modern age but back then it was always an argument of humanity. Holland wanted to pave the way for greater theories. AI was a fascination and the idea that artificial could be infused with that of organic life was too enlightening to pass up. She wanted live specimens. People who craved this to survive, to be cured of disease that needed a boost of a synthetic nature; she thought it would be easy to procure subjects to test her AI experiments on. Holland chose to use a compassionate front to get her way. The only problem is the fact this wasn’t exactly legal. It didn’t prevent her working under the table. During this time she met her future husband, Jonathan Royce, who saw the Holland Frost everyone else saw, which was just perfect for her. She hid her obsessions well even her true demeanor as cold and crass as her unsympathetic views towards other people could be.
Augmentation was the beginning of her downfall at the time. A colleague, Marissa Weller, caught wind of Holland’s suspicious activity. Attending the same courses and studying in the same top level they always frequented the same circles. Holland saw her as a rival but used her when the need arose. Creating a faux friendship on her part, she was none too pleased when Marissa threatened to report her for using live subjects to perform her underground experiments. Holland warned her not to meddle in something no one else understood. Science is about sacrifice but Marissa wasn’t buying it. Before she could alert the dean, Holland rendered her rival unconscious with one prompt dose of Xylazine, a horse tranquilizer that did more than knock her out. Marissa’s heart stopped in the incident. Expulsion was the lowest form of punishment considering Holland was guilty of manslaughter. Her father’s money took care of that but she was ousted by the family for her involvement in human experimentation. To her it was worth it but without finishing her college tenure any dream of entering a fully fledged career was null and void, until boyfriend Jonathan Royce made an offer. Another rich boy but one she needed now beyond a simple fancy here and there. It’s the one thing keeping her afloat in the field and she agreed to marry him. A small price to pay but one that ultimately made Holland bitter. A loveless marriage is an enemy in and of itself. This is a dark period that began and lasted far longer than expected. She quickly grew to despise him despite his family’s connections to Detroit’s leading scientific circles. It was the only consolation but Holland was going nowhere. She fell pregnant. Another hurdle but one she used to gain advantage to permanently seize assets from her husband in case of any accident befalling him. It was in the back of her mind all the time then.
Her pursuit in high tech and AI drew interest despite her record and failings. All it took was curiosity and her theories on synthetic and organic synthesis which she reveled as something that could change the world. She no longer needed Jonathan once she started ingratiating with the big scientific names of her day. They reached out on their own. She took it by the reins and never looked back. Her record still haunted her. The expulsion and its damning evidence would ruin anyone but all things go away with power. bioTech was the first real taste of it and using her husband to work through the ranks on her own merit of work, Holland found she could continue her unethical experiments in peace. However peace was far out of reach in her personal life. Seeking companionship elsewhere away from her loveless prison, she fell for a woman who worked on her level. Quite the scandal if it ever got out but the technician Holland found solace in was nothing but a distraction in the end. It was enough to get rocks off and far better than her so-called husband could offer. When she started using her secret lover to procure her various illegal narcotics to use in experiments and at times for private use, it turned into a business proposition instead of a love affair. It was the end of their so-called marriage.
Little did she realize how her work, this divorce and her distance would destroy her relationship with her daughter. Holland simply dove into her work, never truly having a close bond with Miranda at all but deep down it still caused some grief. Currently her goals are becoming CEO of her ex-husband’s company. She has gone to great lengths to oust him, even to the point of hiring a hit man like Calvin Sterling.

A man born with a bolt of steel instead of a silver spoon in his mouth; Sterling, known to most of his associates, had a troubled upbringing left in a slum dive on the east end of Queens, New York. Growing up with his mother, he barely knew he had a father until he was older. The man already had a wife and decided to set up his mother and bastard son in the worst part of the city. A politician’s dirty little secret. For Calvin Sterling the man was worth next to nothing and drove part of his choices to a life on the other side of the law.
mainly running with small time boy gangs as a teen, Sterling broke from the mold when his mother took sick. Attempting to make a better decision in life he focused on school but the call back to the streets and the crime with it held a strong touch. It took a sharp turn when Calvin was responsible for the murder of his mother’s landlord. It was in defense of his mother who was in danger from owing back rent but most balked at the idea the man even tried to hurt her. At 18, Sterling was convicted on an involuntary manslaughter charge, serving 3 out of his 5 year sentence. Only being released for good behavior and to finish off with community service. Maybe light in comparison to what he could have gotten but Sterling set on the path of NOT letting his emotions bubble over and act where he could get caught.
By the time he was out his mother was on the verge of death, her illness back in full swing. At this time Sterling ran back in with some of his old boy hood gangs. They were grown this time, moving into the territory of genuine mob and thugs of New York. Sterling himself took to the life of hired thug, a gun in his hand every night now. Moving from jobs as club security to bouncers, he used the honest work to cover his less than honest profession working for organized criminal rings. It became the norm for him to be the hired gun, fully transitioning to operating hit man and bodyguard for some important people in the underground. His personal life had a bright spot once but that quickly faded. Charlene Maddox might have been a brief flicker in a dark career but her flame snuffed out due to Sterling’s world of crime and consequences. Currently he’s working as a freelance gun and hit man, retaining an estranged relationship with his half brother Conan Sterling, a powerful CEO/Attorney ( VERSE DEPENDENT ) that is a whole other side to the corrupt coin of their family.

Her husband put a lot of trust in a hired gun. He never had one single employer until coming into this fold. Italian mafia. La Cosa Nostra. All Calvin Sterling required is brute force and saving an important life to become marked as a reliable source. Steady income persuaded him to cease his nomadic private run in the world of crime. He's been here. He has met Genevieve often enough before knowing her fully.
Knowing a job is supposed to be information only. She is more than information. The wife of their don. How did she come into this world and what does she truly believe about it? Questions he never asks. There are no answers he is meant to extract from anyone but the enemy.
"I can drive," he spoke to business despite smiling at her before. Shifting back into his cool demeanor is best. Even with her joke he had to show zero emotion. Easily in his expression comes the mask but behind his eyes there is a spark for her that should not exist.
Taking her gift and putting it away for now the man retrieved his jacket. He pulled the leather over his shoulders, grabbed keys and turned his back briefly to secure a weapon. Out of sight out of mind. Her life is dependent on his own. If he fails his mission he no longer exists but Sterling had little self preservation. His choice of career alone told a story. Far away from the business of power his half brother chose. Another kind of criminal empire but no different in its corruption. "Lead the way. I will go wherever you need after the bank. If anything comes up stick close and I will handle it."

Another job with his employer's wife meant keeping as civil and closed off as he could. Initially he went in exactly that way but throughout the course of things he grew exponentially closer. In a way that keeps him as far back as possible now, the man known among his peers simply as Sterling, watched her approach with a gift.
Food is fuel for a man who has to be on 24/7. She remembered that little detail about pastrami on rye. Then what else has she remembered? What secrets does she know involving her husband and what can he do to steer her away from himself? Better to ask the question how can he ignore her.
"Simple enough," he agreed with her schedule, taking the wrapped sandwich in hand. "And you did not have to.... Bring me anything. I told you before. I am just doing a job. It happens to protect you and keep unwanted persons at bay."
No one can predict what goes on in a life such as this. Sterling knows too much. Always has. Always will. He also knows loss and being a hit for hire comes with plenty of bruises. Why does he feel human with her? When he closed off so long ago and here she comes making him smile. He gave her a smile now and he knew it was wrong. Sometimes what is wrong is the right.

Essential Codex
Heyo! This is an indie multimuse blog with all fandomless ocs connected and integrated together. The blog is rated 21+ with mun and muses 30+ and rp experience at 14+ years. I'm ash, she/her, est.
This blog is oc friendly and a female muse supporter. I will only write with rp blogs and those I follow back. I keep a lower follower count to make things easiser and things are private, mutually exclusive and on the semi-selective side. Everything is multiverse.
Basic rp etiquette: No godmodding, reblog from the source only, do not interact if you are under 21. Memes, prompts & aesthetics please again reblog from the source. I practice reblog karma. Don't reblog my threads if you're not involved in them. This goes for Persoanls: DO NOT REBLOG FROM RP BLOGS.
I will unfollow if you either: Never interact with me, ie: zero asks, likes, ooc talk, threading etc. I will also unfollow if you hate on female muses, keep dropping our threads or you lose interest or litereally refuse to plot/tell me anything to go on for a starter. Sorry that sounds kinda odd but it's happened to me. I block personals who break my reblog rules and anyone who causes trouble for people in my writing group.
For asks ALWAYS specify muse or I will ignore it since I will have no clue who it's for. If you want to continue an ask into a thread go for it. I will answer with the intention of advancing to a plot OR just a one off response. DO NOT SPAM MY INBOX.
Shipping is pretty selective but open to plot building. Pre-established is not really my thing because I need to see how muses will react through interaction. Holland is a divorced bisexual woman but difficult. She is not looking for serious but knows what she wants. C. Sterling is a detached heterosexual man but open for a potential attachment but has a lot of baggage due to his career as a hit for hire. Conan Sterling is a bisexual man who has nothing but disdain for most and loves his influence above all else. Will not autoship. Smut is with established ships only and will always go under read more.
Dark content expected here including: violence, gore, sexual situations, suicide, crime, war, murder, incest mentions etc. I personally don't have triggers but will tag things appropriately. If you're someone who doesn't like taboo topics this is not the blog for you. I will not police my content or change it. Fiction is also in literature, film, tv etc. If they won't police it why should I in my writing? I do not condone this stuff IRL.
Last but not least MUN DOES NOT EQUAL MUSE. I'm not my muses. I never will reflect their choices, views etc.

Violet Kingdom. He heard tales of it in the past. His father held a drunken tongue against the civilized clans, as he calls them, for a long time. The outlanders only knew the kingdom folk were righteous, looked down on tribes such as them. He also could see the beauty they possess.
In one long moment Sterling felt an urge to stare. Against his own judgement and what would mark reason to this caravan of knights; he tore eyes away only when she ducked out of sight. Did he frighten the young woman that easily? Perched on horses in furs and burly wild men at his side, the young clansman could only be an intimidating force.
"The Red Kingdom is a known terror. Slaying the Silver Kingdom. Isn't that right?" The question lay heavy but he saw no reason to start trouble. None moved to attack. Provoking will only end in blood and they have plenty of miles to travel before they sleep. He nodded, lifting his hand to alert the others of their group to back away. Most held their steely gazes in silence as they converged.
It was the lone outlander girl who snuck away daring to look towards the carriage where the princess peeked a head. She glared when she witnessed that short exchange between the lady and the outlander King's son. It made her pick up a stone to plunk at her head - Her wrist caught before the throw, pulled back through the trees. "Ain't do that if you want to keep in the young wolf's good graces." Ingvar caught the rebel lass quick, dragging her back to their clansmen.
“Let me go! We have no fealty to these uptight cunts.”
A bellowing laugh answered her. “Vulgar as the day you were born! Now you listen to Ingvar and do as yer told. Going against it? That’s goin against Sterling’s word.” That shut her down. Finally and he had her in check by the time they moved aside to let the royal pass. It was brief but Sterling caught them, giving Ingvar a stony look but he turned to watch the caravan with the princess.

"Hold. There are mighty royals in our path." A mocking laugh heartily left the lips of the red haired outlander. Perched on a horse beside the youngest of their troupe, he boasted with a confidence that reeked of dismissal. He hardly gave two boar's shits whose carriage that was. BUT he could do nothing unless their outlander prince said so.
The White Wolf Sterling donned furs of silver coat, wolves hide, watching the travel of these royals. He was the son of their clan leader. The one they call their own king.
Outlanders have no kings. Not in the civilized world. They believe they are nothing but savages but there is more to their lives than savagery. They are noble to each others. They have honor among their clans. Vlat the Boar held true to upholding the dynasty of the Vikings. Sterling, the young wolf, followed that example. Sterling saw the caravan before Ingvar made comment.
Another moved beside him, a warrior woman on horseback. She glared as the knights moved towards them. "They seek trouble."
"Do not attack," Sterling ordered swiftly. "Stay back. Heed their movements but do nothing unless I order it."
Ingvar glanced at the girl with a big smile. "The Silver Wolf speaks. So no bashing skulls Revna."
She turned her head looking off to the parade of so called royals. There she could see their carriages clearly but she would do better closer. Turning her horse by the reins, Revna appeared to trot further away to avoid confrontation. It was ruse to unsaddle from her horse and use the trees as camouflage for a look at the royalty.
Sterling stalled his horse close enough on the other side, able to glance past the knights to the first carriage he could discern. There he locked eyes with a young girl peering out the window. His hand stilled on the reins, expression softening for a moment as he watched her. It was a long gaze on her... a beauty he is not familiar in witnessing in this land. Yet it was there. In what seemed to take the young outlander forever to break, the head of their party finally broke from her.
He looked to the lead knight. "We are the Greywolves. A clan of travelers to this region. We wish no clash or battle. We only pass through as you do Sir Knight."
One of the violet guards sniffed at his talk. "Polite speech. For savages.." Sterling narrowed eyes.

xxx A major update. This blog will consist of three fandomless ocs. Holland Frost. Conan Sterling and Connor Sterling. A url change will follow. They will all be connected to each other. I am branching away from fandoms and taking the final step to have my versions of these db.h muses be their own original individuals. That means no more android verses unless it's a distinct plot with friends. All other muses here will be removed.

"As unlikely as it is I still have to cover ground. Considering we have outsiders as guests in the castle." Conan would not think the royals themselves would get up to unsavory tricks. They have their knights and servants to perform treachery for them. With other kingdoms surely seeking to cause mayhem and bring their king harm, Lord Conan is thorough. If the advisor disagrees then it is clear who is more loyal.
However he had no intention arguing over this. He asked for information. As the advisor he is privy to that. The King will inquire of it. Let him be a good messenger then.
"One of the Red Guard was murdered and left to rot in an alley. Throat pierced. With a sword." His explanation is swift. There was an investigation of the scene. Already performed by his hand it is clear how. The who is what they are after.
Many moved through the market last night. Red Day Feast called for a total celebration. Drink ran rampant. There were drunks aplenty but would one kill a guard? Would a bandit attempt to move through the sea of village folk and attack? Every scenario must be contemplated but that does not remove his suspicions.
Daniel glared in Elijah's direction during their discussion. The young man had no thoughts on the advisor. None good. He is close to the king. Unfavorably so. "I bet it was one of those Violet. That princess' brothers could be trouble."
Lord Conan exhaled through his nose. "The princes were here at the castle the entire time. I am not looking directly at them. Perhaps anyone who may have come with the Violet Royals is potential for debate but not the actual royalty." He shook his head. "You have done your initiative for the day, Sir Daniel. Join the other men outside on the estate."
The order left Daniel feeling less than enthused. However he wanted to stay on the Lord Commander's good side. As it is with a bow of his head, side glance at Elijah that spoke his distaste, Daniel left the two.
"Reckless thinking," Conan commented but turned his attention to Elijah again. "Tell the king we are investigating the one responsible. There is possibility for a low borne scum to have merely tarted trouble. However I aim to keep an eye on the Red Keep until we find the culprit. Our King's safety is priority. I am sure you understand."

"What are you doing, Daniel?"
Lord Conan caught him hovering near the king's study. Attempting to seek an audience without direct permission? Or merely skulking without rhyme or reason? Whatever the case he is hardly in the mood to babysit any of his recruits. Out of every man there is Sir Daniel always held an odd quality about him. He never spends much time with the other Men of Severin. In fact he keeps to himself even when they must work in command together.
Daniel straightened his shoulders and faced him. "Lord Commander," the blonde greeted with a small smile. Forced in more ways than one. He just had to see if he could slip something the king's study. Just a token. A little piece... "I thought you would want the king to know of the incident with the guard."
"Not yet," Conan dismissed. "I am undergoing a thorough search for suspicious activity. That includes here in the keep."
They had guests. That is all he could think of. Though it is unlikely any of the Violet Kingdom had anything to do with a murder in the market alley. Every single one of them attended the castle. None had gone into the market. That he is aware of that is.
There is a knight. One that Sir George brought up. He wonders.
"I took the initiative though." Daniel said quickly, stepping closer to his superior. "To deliver this vital news."
What does he wish? A pat on the back or in Daniel's case a pat on the backside. Conan is hardly ignorant to the way this younger man acts. He latches on. He seeks appraisal. Conan frankly is not interested. "The news will come from Severin's leader. Remember your place, Daniel. No more snooping around the keep."
He appeared to open his mouth to protest but Conan's sight landed on the king's advisor. He gave Daniel no chance to retort. Lord Conan narrowed his cool gray eyes as he approached Elijah. "Do you require something, Sir Elijah? I understood you were busy in your study. As I saw you with the king's cousin." The Lord Commander of Severin mentioned Miranda coolly.

Hank followed her out. Making the rest of them back off, he gave a sigh and a shake of his head. Ever since things got, pardon his French, fucked up with her partner's death this has been a spiral. He knows how she is. Seen it a time or two personally. More like experienced it.
The spiral only goes deeper. Unless something is there to drag a person out and back to the surface. Connor had a lot to do with that now. Didn't help she was rearing to tear his head off just now. Which is another thing....
"You finished trying to take on an android that can knock you on your ass like tissue paper?" The lieutenant's question came with digging into his pocket. "Here damn it."
Hank offered her his lighter. As good as nicotine will do but at least she ain't heading off to Jimmy's Bar. He snorted. That remains to be seen.
"What happened in there? Do you think taking it out on Connor is gonna change things? 'Sides he ain't trying to get you canned. He's expressing concern for a co-worker. He don't even understand what the fuck a snitch is."
Maybe he should give Connor more credit. It's been a while since the revolution ended. Hell he's even in a relationship. Talk about kids growing up fast. How about androids growing from plastic pricks to Casanovas?
Hank pulled his collar tighter. Damn right will give anybody a head cold. "I'm not saying he was right. I'm just saying you gotta think about yourself. Maybe this break is a good thing. Take it from me. You don't wanna be at the bottom of a whiskey bottle."
