내 두번째 유치원에서의 크리스마스. 산타는 유치원에서 가장 덩치가 큰 체육 선생님이셨고 저 선물은 내가 고른 레고였다. 저 레고가 지금 있다면 빈티지라 비싸게 팔릴텐데...(?) 저 시절의 나는 산타를 믿지 않았지만 지금의 나는 산타의 존재를 믿는다. Christmas day in my second kindergarten. The santa was PE teacher in my kindergarten who was lagest person in the kindergarten, and the gift was LEGO which I chose. if I have that lego until now, it can sell high. yes.. "VINTAGE" XD anyway, the girl in the picture didn't believe in Santa but now I believe in Santa. Yoonji

내 첫 유치원에서의 생일잔치. 작은 유치원이었기에 생일 사진도 혼자서 찍을 수 있었나보다. 사실 이 사진을 보고 놀랐다. 왼쪽에 있는 무서운 양의 김밥성과 앞줄의 요구르트 성벽좀보라.. 조촐한 생일상인데 무섭다.  my birthday party in my kindergarten which I went to first. it was small, so we could take a picture alone. as a matter of fact, I was surprised when I found this picture. look at the tower of KIMBAB (black one, the rice surrounded by dried laver)  the left side of me! look at the wall of drinking yogurt front side! the party seems to simple but horrible. 나는 어렸을 때부터 케이크를 좋아했고 떠들썩한 기념일을 좋아했고 흔하지 않은 아이템들을 좋아했다. 참 여전하다. When I was just a little girl, I really liked cakes, unique items, and special days. Nowadays only 'a cup of Milk' get changed to 'a cup of Coffee', I still love those things. Tastes, doesn't change. Nayoung

This photo hung beside my bedroom door for the longest time. I showed this photo to my dad recently. He told me that my brother had peed on Santa when this photo was taken. Shanon

At the Moominland with my sister, our friend and our grandmom. I'm the girl in the pink raincoat next to the moominhouse door. I remember it started to rain and we didn't get to go to one island with one of the characters home. And strawberry juice was SOOO good. Muumimaailmassa siskoni, ystävämme ja mummuni kanssa. Itse olen kuvassa pinkissä sadetakissa oven vieressä. Naamani on sillankaiteen peitossa. Muistan vain, että alkoi satamaan, emmekä päässeet muumimaailmaan kuuluvalle saarelle. My family lived very close by to Wonderland, an amusement park that we went to every summer. I remember hating this place as a kid, since I was afraid of people in mascot costumes and the haunting music.

Uittamo beach in Turku. One those sunny but cold spring days. It's a  day off during matriculation examinations, spending it with a friend just wandering aimlessly around, taking photos of each other.  Uittamo, Turku. Tyypillinen kylmä mutta aurinkoinen kevätpäivä. Vapaapäivä ylioppilaskirjoitusten aikoihin, vietimme aikaa ystävän kanssa kulkien päämäärättä ympäriinsä, toisiamme valokuvaten.

On the roof of an abandoned silo in Turku, January 2002. I'm the boyfriend of the photographer, we were on one of our numerous urban exploration trips. The silo was demolished some years later; a child died in the building by falling through a hole in the floor.  Hylätyn siilon katolla Turussa, tammikuussa 2002. Olen kuvan ottaneen valokuvaajan poikakaveri. Olimme yhdellä lukuisista urban exploration -retkistämme. Siilo purettiin joitakin vuosia myöhemmin; eräs lapsi kuoli pudottuaan rakennuksen lattiassa olleen reiän läpi.

About five years old in the home courtyard in Kaarina. My childhood was a lot more fun and colourful than what it may look like in this picture... Noin viisivuotiaana kotipihalla Kaarinassa.
