now wait a second. somebody explain to me how pang and wave are supposed to be platonic bros when the best friend spot is already occupied by ohm. so them walking up to everyone looking like a couple and pang looking at ohm like hi best friend and ohm looking at pang like you go best friend WHILE WAVE IS RIGHT THERE AGAIN LOOKING LIKE A BOYFRIEND doesn't mean anything?. like someone please explain in detail how im supposed to interpret them acting like soulmates. because wave finding a family in this group of friends but feeling more comfortable and more connected with pang is supposed to be best friends dude bros behavior??? both of them constantly acting like a team but their dynamic not seeming to stop at 'we are just two bros chilling in a rooftop five feet apart cause we are not gay'???? speaking for that. they have a fucking spot for just the two of them????????? supot knew wave would risk his goddamn life to SEE pang??? supot knew pang wouldn't be able to take someone suffering because of him specially wave????? what I'm trying to say is even supot can see it. they hang out alone A LOT to the point where everyone is just like ''yeah them leaving the room together as if they are about to hold hands after revealing they are both dying is completely normal. just another day at the office''?????? their chemistry mirroring claire and punn's not korn and mon's?????? their apologies and fights seeming way too loaded????? most of the time those apologies and fights have this undertone that they are both holding back something??????? LIKE NO REALLY LET ME GO BACK TO THAT OHM POINT BECAUSE in that scene where they are talking about the antigifted in episode two with time ohm approaches the subject defensive of their group but wave approaches it defensive of pang?????? wave literally looks like a boyfriend most of the time?????? the fact that they definitely wanted to try the romantic thing between namtarn and pang but then couldn't so they were like hey here's the next best thing dgdhdjsk. like fr somebody tell me how im not supposed to think they have something more than just friendship when after gaining his memories back the person pang focuses on is wave. the show either genuinely doesn't see how gay they made them, or that was exactly their intention. either way there is absolutely no way they aren't in love. my god these bitches are gay good for them

Wave and Pang are each other’s constant.

Even if everything is in chaos, they are the one thing that each of them can rely on and trust without any hesitation or questioning. There have been so many people who have left them, betrayed them or broken their trust but Pang and Wave have found an unwavering tether to one another.

There can be distance, tension or even disagreement between them but, ultimately, they return to each other because they have found something in one another that they never found anywhere else: solid ground.

Though they have had some moments of doubt, they will always be “waiting” for one another.

Wave feels the weight of Pang’s green jacket on his shoulders and he knows something is wrong. Really wrong. He hears Punn’s warning words about Pang not caring but he chooses to ignore them. He knows Pang better than that.

He rushes up to their rooftop but Pang is nowhere to be seen. He then goes to the Gifted room, the Gifted classroom and even the infirmary, but Pang isn’t anywhere Wave would usually find him.

On a whim, Wave goes to Pang’s dorm, even though Pang rarely spends any time there. He knocks and knock and knocks but there’s no answer. Wave does hear something coming from inside of them room so he uses his power to overload the key system and bursts into then room.

It takes a moment for Wave’s eyes to adjust to the darkness of Pang’s room but he quickly sees Pang curled up in the furthest corner, quietly crying. Wave’s breath hitches. He’s never seen Pang look so broken before. It’s a devastating sight. A rage like he’s never experienced blooms in him and he vows to seek revenge on whoever caused Pang’s pain.

Wave quickly enters the room and wraps his arms around Pang, not bothering to think about the implications of the intimate gesture. Pang seems to notice the contact but is too far gone in his distress to fully acknowledge Wave’s presence.

Wave sees himself in Pang at that moment - when he was betrayed by his teacher, when he lost his parents.... Wave knows from his own experience that all he can do in that moment to help Pang is to be there for him.

As Wave tightens his grip on Pang, his heart hurting for his friend, he whispers, “You’re not alone, Pang. Whatever is going on, I will always be here for you. You will never be alone again.”
