O sacred Sands. That which washes and weathers even the most jagged of stone. Smooths its face till only slate remains. Through haze that stings your eyes, the flats of the desert stretch on endless. It remains the same as before.

As you march forth, determined, you take a step only to find it wanting, your heel snagged on a crack. You stumble, trying to regain your footing and manage with little trouble. Both feet are planted on firm ground and yet the stammer in your journey dislodges something in your chest.

Adrenaline rushes your already frayed nerves. Your skin itches and your fingers flinch. This is an ill portent. There is naught but ruin further in. You will fail-

No. The fear that wishes to claw deep inside your marrow hasn’t split your bone yet.

The harmony you seek is out there. You won’t be swayed from its path. Not again.

Such is the nature of your work. You are the messenger. The deliverer of hope and heart. The courier of promises fulfilled and scales balanced. There is belief to be shared and serenity to be given and you are that in-between.

However, here in the Burnt Lands, where your feet sink deep into scorching sand and your brow drips heavy beads of sweat, you find yourself shaken. Unnerved as beyond you looms an endless sea of unforgiving umber.

There is a path you are meant to follow but you cannot see it clear. This stretch of desert that rages, that demands blood, asks you to recall.

You adjust your pack and tighten your scarf, you’d rather not draw those memories forth but harmony is found at the centre.

And you will find yours.

Hello everyone!

After finally discovering a tagline, I thought I'd go ahead and make an intro post!

Welcome to Freys Fiction, the home to the world of Tirras Savehys. A fantasy world bursting at the seams! This is something of an ambitious worldbuilding project that will, as time moves forward, encompass many different projects and media forms all taking place in the same world. Books, Interactive Fiction, and more.

S.C. Frey is a strange character and figure unknown to most in Tirras outside of their creations. Their stories are popular, but any information about the author's identity or whereabouts remain unknown.

After reading all your lore, I have to say I'm super intirgued to know more about the world of Tirras Savehys! Your art is amazing and I love reading the accompanying writing!

The lore about Versihillin Staff is probably my favorite! I LOVE mage stuff, and negation magic is always a cool concept to explore! Are you able to share more about how the Verdishil mages preform their feared magic?

Ahh, thank you so much!! It's quite fun building a world!

The Verdihsil Warriors are a unique one. All of those who successfully pact with Verdihsil are tattooed - typically on the arms. It's those tattoos, along with a 'conduit' of sorts, that allow his Anti-Magic to be utilized. For his swordsman, that conduit is their sword. For his mages, it's their staff. The overall design of the tattoos are unique, but the flow is usually similar - the "contracting" symbol somewhere and the rest of the design flowing from there. One example:

The mages have it a bit harder than their swordsman counterparts, however, as spellcasting is a "force of will", as scholars put it. And, because Verdy's magic is a 'negative' energy, trying to force-will such spells takes a lot of practice!

The Verdihsil Warriors are often employed as mage hunters for these abilities, keeping other spellcasters in check.

A Well Seasoned Appetizer - even the richest of 5 course meals need a smaller piece to start. Currently in the works alongside the Main Series is a smaller, lower stakes lover's tale.
