"Uhm- I'm just lost is all... Stupid magic anons." Frank sighed, though smiled at the other. "Would you happen to know how I can get back to Kansas City, cuz this sure as hell ain't Kansas City."

The commander suddenly spots someone entering his office without knocking on the door. “Are you authorized to enter my office, sir?”

Frank tried his best not to scream, though he found himself frozen on the spot in fear. His hazel eyes widened as he spotted the masklike face trained upon him, his arms not so easily giving way at first- but then, he opened them up, upon realizing that she was humanoid. Her then looked down at her, concerned. He pondered how and why this had happened, and how to best help her. He hoped she at least knew English, he knew some Chinese but not very much at all. And it sounded as if it would be a challenge to earn her trust in the first place, he knew how that was and would just have to try and be patient.

It was his last instinct, was to be patient. But that's what he was telling himself as he decided to help her wake. "Hello? Dudette?" Not sure how to explain to her how different things were here- she was clearly not from modern times, if he had guessed right.

The room had been empty just a moment ago. Then, suddenly, thirty, maybe fifty feet of a giant insectoid body and its many, many legs, all at once appeared there, winding around the furniture. A face like a Noh mask peered down into his eyes. The painted lips of the mask-like face pulled into a smile, and the creature held out the body of an unconscious sixteen year old girl, forcing her into the other’s arms. ”Here, not one of yours, but deeply loyal if you can win her trust,” the creature said, then withdrew, skittering up the wall and out of reality.

The girl, on the other hand, was most decidedly there, and she was in poor state, too—clearly malnourished and having been maltreated for some time. Her hair was matted and her eyes were shadowed, and around her wrists were the marks of shackles and restraints that likely hadn’t been removed often for a very long time. The clothes she wore were handmade and hand stitched, and despite the fact that she wasn’t actually, she would seem decidedly like she had been from ancient China, both in the styling of the simple robe she wore, and her features.

She was currently unconscious, but she was coming around.
