I do think that, were he to live, the right vanity level for Fitzy would be c. 20%. He is at 120% at the start of the show, which of course causes issues, helps doom them all etc., and he is at -20% towards the end, when his body, and far worse, his entire worldview is crumbling away and he is super harsh on himself. But. If they were to get rescued right, he deserves just a helping of cuntiness, a sprinkling of appreciation for good clothes and better haircare products, a dash of say yes to the dress. We are all for character development in this house but my girl is also meant to glimmer, you know?

John Ross’s 1852 pamphlet A narrative of the circumstances and causes which led to the failure of the searching expeditions sent by government and others for the rescue of Sir John Franklin is 120-ish pages of him explaining in great detail why if only anyone had listened to him none of this would have happened, and features some truly incredible attacks on his nephew.
