The small thing was speaking to her. Its voice was light, like the warm wind through spring flowers when the sun was high and could warm her scales. It was a comforting sensation, and despite the strangeness of it all, of one of them being here, she could feel herself slowly start to relax.
You're hurt.
A fitting observation, little one. Her great eye roved slowly in its massive socket, glancing towards the slight protrusion sticking out of the back of her neck, a beacon in the ring of red. It was a fragment of bone. One of the red king's chains that had nestled itself into the tender, exposed flesh from her escape. The small thing spoke again, holding out a miniscule hand. A gentle request to aid. The great goddess paused, her ice like gaze returning to the tiny creature. And then she spoke, her voice low, feminine, and powerful. Not with her mouth, but with her mind.
"You may...."
Escape wasn't easy. Not that it had been planned. Nothing about this had been planned, especially the loss of her youngling way before his time. The sight of her child's bones hanging off the body of the red king had been the one thing keeping her weak, keeping her subservient to an arrogant creature that she could slaughter with ease if she wanted to.
But he had her only remaining kin. her baby, the only thing that had kept her fighting and surviving for as long as she had. Perhaps, in some warped way, she believed that if she did what he demanded of her he would return him to her. Let them both go free once she had frozen enough enemies, conquered enough territory for him to rule, allow her to properly mourn what was left of him.
The red king never did. All he did was order. Demand. Control more and more and more.
Her son wouldn't want this.
And that was the drive that spurred the events that had only happened a mere few moon cycles ago. The chains made of enemy bones that had been digging into her neck for what seemed like ages, chafing her scales and making the flesh beneath red and raw, snapped with the mighty shake of her head. She had always been able to break them, but had remained docile for the hope of her deceased youngling. She could still remember the red king's shrieks of rage as she broke free of her confines and froze the furred soldiers that tried to stop her, their bodies turning white and unrecognizable.
Then she began to dig.
She was unaware of how long she had been doing so or what direction she was going. Everything like orientation and time began to blur together, cold adrenaline pumping through her veins until it slowly was sapped away, leaving her aching and exhausted. She surfaced somewhere. Somewhere similar yet different from the world she knew. The world below. It would have to do, for now.
With that, the great Titan lumbered towards the nearest shelter, a massive cave that would suit her, protect her for a while as she healed, and laid her body down.
She slept, dreaming of ice and stars and his beautiful blue eyes.
A sound stirred her from her weeks long rest, a massive orb of sapphire roving in its socket for a moment, regaining her senses and shaking off the fog sleep before she saw it.
A little thing.
She had seen them before. Not often. But enough that she could remember they existed.
The great beast exhaled a cold breath from her nostrils, carefully regarding the smaller being that seemed to be analyzing her in the same way.

Willy....Wonka?
This species had a strange language, but she supposed she couldn't judge. Over the course of her endlessly long life, she had heard many languages, seen many forms of communication. Her own kind had their own way of speaking to one another that was, for all intents and purposes, vastly different from the way the small things did. Even with the strange way he was understanding her now, somehow.
Her maw opened, a cold breath slipping through her jagged teeth before it closed with a audible clack. She wanted to tell him her name, the one she had been born with. But that would be difficult to pass on in her tongue, so she had to rack her brain for the many other things she had been called over the centuries.
"Ones like you, from a far away land once called me Shimo. The daughter of frost."
Her great head cocked to the side, blue eyes shimmering with curiosity at his words. An apology? What for?
So much for reading minds.
The word factory was not exactly a part of her vocabulary.
But still, it was not lost on her that structure the tiny thing was referring to belonged to him. Was something he had staked his claim on. Some sort of territory, she supposed. And yet, she had intruded. Destroyed. Like the red king.
Shimo reared her massive head back slightly, clearly taken aback that the creature had understood her thoughts. But regret was quick to flash in icy blue eyes.
“I….am sorry. I did not mean to ruin your territory, small one.”

The great beast exhaled a cold breath from her nostrils, carefully regarding the smaller being that seemed to be analyzing her in the same way.
A few days had already passed down here, by Keiko's estimation. Only the lightening and darkening of the sky gave any indication of time, even the sun itself hidden behind whatever haze lit up the air. The insectoid MUTOs that had dragged Keiko down here to begin with ultimately hadn't become a problem; it seemed all of them had been scattered apart by whatever they fell through, landing in different locations than Keiko herself. Food, however, had. Thankfully the plants here were largely the same as back home, though Keiko didn't know if she could rely on that source forever.
So had shelter. Sleeping near completely out in the open could only safely last for so long, especially in a world where creatures much more powerful than even the most dangerous of Earth's common predators lurked. Crafting a rudimentary bow and arrows hadn't been too terrible - Lee had taught her how to years ago, alongside some quip on how you should know this stuff in case worse ever comes to worst out there, Doc, and your gun-toting neanderthal can’t be around to watch your back - but there was only so much that could do against some of the things she had seen, were they to find her vulnerable.
Earlier in the day, she had finally spotted signs of a cave in the distance. The walk there had been long but relievingly easy, not much of anything living crossing her path at all. It wasn't a guarantee, but it was promising.
That was, until she came across tracks. Tracks at least as massive as the print they'd found in the Philippines. And... was that a scale?
Crouching down, Keiko examined it closer, fingertips running over frosted-looking edges. It was huge, far bigger than her own hand; she could only imagine the size of the creature that had left it behind.
Reddish flecks marred the edge of it, though. Grabbing it firmly and flipping it over, Keiko drew in a sharp breath at the sight of dried blood. The rational thing to do here would be to leave, to run in the other direction of whatever caused this and not look back - in fact, she could hear Lee's voice clearly in her head, shouting at her to do just that right now - but... she couldn't. Not when a new discovery was so close, she could practically taste it.
So it was with fear and awe both coursing through her veins in equal measure that Keiko nocked an arrow into her bow, drew the string back, and pushed forward. Slowly and quietly, she took careful steps until she finally reached the mouth of the cave she'd seen - the same one these tracks led right towards.
Even that couldn't prepare her for the sight that awaited her inside of it.
A dragon-like creature laid prone on its side, neck mangled and red. It was at least the size of Godzilla, if not larger, majestic even in this terrible state. Keiko felt a thrill run through her again as she took the sight of it in: the feeling of being dwarfed by something larger than life, something she still couldn't fully understand but desperately ached to.
This time, however, that feeling was mingled with deep concern. "Oh, my god," Keiko breathed, bow and arrow lowering - but not put away completely - as she crept closer. There was no military here to harm this creature, no Lee to hold Keiko back. Only time would tell what sort of difference his presence could have made. "What the hell happened to you?" // @frcsttitan + plotted starter!

Where her pointed tongue made contact with the flowing chocolate, the sweetness began to solidify and frost over— an unfortunate effect from being in such proximity to the elderly Titan. Her snout burrowed down into the hardened chocolate, uneven, jagged teeth making short work of the sugary snack.
And it was divine.

She had never tasted anything as sweet as this, a sensation that tickled every tastebud and filled her with a rare, pleasant warmth. The kind of warmth she could feel when she thought of her son. The way his eyes sparkled when he discovered something new, the way he would grind his teeth when he was excited, the faint frost he would emit in a childish attempt to mimic her own icy breath.
It was the exact same nostalgic sweetness. The exact same.
For a brief moment, Shimo allowed her eyes to flutter shut as she soaked up the delightful feeling— until the faintest sound stirred her out of her trance. There was a small thing there, just beyond the ruins of the structure she had forced her way into. She could see it easily with how colorful it was, standing apart from the other fleeing members of its kind.
Shimo’s tongue curled against her upper jaw, licking away a stray drizzle of chocolate as she raised her head, crystalline spines glowing a faint, curious blue. The great Titan turned, taking only one step forward, for that was all she needed with her great stride to reach him, and lowered her head, turning it so a curious blue eye could assess this tiny being that smelled so strange and adorned itself in such eye catching attire.
She exhaled a cold breath, her gaze shining with that of an old intelligence, something higher than most animals had. For she was, for all intents and purposes, a deity. One of the first gods. And she had walked this earth before many others, even turned it to ice for many years.
Then came the voice.
Ancient, soft, feminine. Spoken not with the tongue, but of the mind.
“Curious little creature. Colored like the birds of the warm places, reeking of the sweet. You don’t even flee.”
She watched as the tiny things scrambled here and there beneath her clawed feet. They were still…a new thing to her. She predated them, existed before most things in this world, and had been trapped beneath the surface for many sunsets.
Shimo was not a malicious creature by nature. She wasn’t truly the terrible world ending beast the tyrant had forced her to be. But she would retaliate if the small creatures tried to test her might and harass her. They had before, but the two kings that had freed her assured her that the things- human beings - were not malevolent. That they were part of the Earth’s natural order, just as she was.
She had no choice now but to trust in them. Her white scales and ice like spines shimmered in the light of the glowing sun, a layer of frost spreading across the ground beneath her, creeping up the sides of crumbling buildings as she lumbered towards the smell that was so enticing.
It was Wonka’s factory and dwellings that she had been attracted too, lowering her snout beside the castle. With a low rumble and another exaggerated sniff, her head crashed through the glass panes and into the factory, a long blue tongue dipping curiously into the chocolate river.
