1. Adults should use cannabis as part of a healthy, balanced, and responsible lifestyle. 2. The decision to use cannabis should be made freely, and not as a result of social pressure. 3. Cannabis users should be well informed about its effects on themselves and others. These effects should include both legal and health risks and personal consequences. 4. Never use cannabis as an excuse or a cue for antisocial or irresponsible behavior. 5. Cannabis users should model and reward responsible use, particularly with new users. 6. Use cannabis as a part of positive social interactions, rather than primarily in isolation or as a remedy for negative feelings. 7. Develop sensible cannabis use limits for yourself based on personal, health, situational, and cultural factors. It is important to be objective about your cannabis use and listen to the constructive advice of others. 8. Avoid cannabis use that puts you or others at risk, such as when driving, at work, or in public places. Remember, personal use of cannabis is still illegal and penalties are stiff. 9. Use of cannabis by children is inappropriate and should be discouraged. 10. Cannabis use should contribute to, rather than detract from, users' health, well-being, creativity, work, relationships, and social obligations.

If someone cannot simply agree that marijuana is less harmful than drugs like heroin and methamphetamine, they are not fit to be overseeing our nation's drug policy."

One afternoon last February, a group of policymakers hand-selected by Colorados governor sat in a public meeting room in Denver and took up the subject of marijuana gummy worms. The ultimate skunk weed may no longer reign supreme if users have their say in a free retail market. As reported in Slate magazine, growers in Seattle are hearing from more and more customers that they would like some high-quality but low-potency marijuana to chill out at the end of the day without major zombification. Maximize your weed!
This series is about trying to maximize your high. Maximize in terms of getting the most high for your buck, and maximize in terms of getting the most high with the fewest costs. Costs can be valued in money (direct costs), or they can be valued some other way, such as time, health-related consequences, criminal consequences, or social/emotional consequences. A basic understanding of the dismal science of economics can yield some pretty sweet insights!
In this series, I'll talk about my current setup (a Magic Flight Launch Box and a Vortex Water Pipe) and how I have arrived at it, as well as other things I've tried. I hope you'll find it useful, and I hope it helps you be an efficient weed consumer.
