Been a while

I’ve checked back to see what’s up with Tumblr now after months and months of my being busy elsewhere, and about 40 of my images turned out to be hidden. Some I could see might not abide to the new rules but most are just nude artworks. Pretty ones too, and they may have looked seductive, especially to the average Tumblr moderator, but Tumblr has obviously become another, slightly but only slightly less strict, instagram.

I thought one was enough already, yet we have Facebook too. From the same ppl. Did we need another one?

I always kind of hoped to meet a model that could fill Bettie Page's shoes and be the ultimate long term Muse for me; expressive, massively creative and simultaneously cute and wildly sensuous. It did come close a couple of times that lasted (much) longer than usual. However, life always got in the way of the arts at some point, and stopped it. But it did always inspire me a whole lot and what's more, it pushed me to actually get better quicker too. It's not about the hairdo at all, of course, that's just a way to get that Bettie Page vibe in there. Bettie Page may only be a memory from even before my time, she left a vivid and exemplary image behind nonetheless. No snapchat or sillicone, no filters or fillers, no tattoos, just pure inspiration. Quite annoying that one has to censor this type of image here now as well. As if it’s not something completely natural.

Censorship

I posted 2 pix that were flagged and removed earlier, but I posted the censored and safe versions. Yet, the bot remembered the original and flagged it anyway. Now I’m in appeal. I would swear a lot if that would help but nothing really helps against stupidity and hypocrisy, does it?

What I do for a living, but censored now of course, as tumblr turned as hypocrite as Facebook and Instagram and we don’t want to hurt those sensitive buggers do we?

Well, I better only post Facebook safe stuff now, right? A whole bunch of my paintings seem to be flagged and invisible and I don’t know an easy way to determine which is which, so I’ll gradually replace everything with censored stuff. Also nice, I think, as I don’t bluntly censor with bars, stars or other rough stuff but I try to make it part of the art in a natural and elegant way (lingerie, drapery strategically placed objects)

I made a video about how I painted this. Of course it’s a high speed thing but it shows how I did build it from scratch. I have to, as my Instagram got blocked and tumblr is having an anti-nudity attack as well ( may be an aneurysm attacking the common sense area in the brain? ). 

Anyway, I will be working on some real tutorials as well in the near future and this is just one of the attempts to get the hang of working with video before I do a serious one (in chapters to keep the size reasonable) with comments, tips and tricks. But only when enough patrons step up to support me, of course.

Memo to all; Casual friday is getting out of hand and no work gets done whatsoever, so we may have to strike it altogether. However, for the upcoming New Years party, casual attire is encouraged😁
