Mike Pence going to the 49ers/Colts NFL game was nothing but an elaborate stunt. He spent thousands of dollars to bring his friends, family, and the Secret Service to a game where he knew in advance that players would take a knee. Of fucking course there was going to be players taking a knee. He had no intention of watching the game, he wanted to create a scene. The White House is doing shit like this, and focusing on it so much, so THEY can try to control the narrative and whitewash what these protests are about. As seen moments after leaving the game:

Creation of Earth as a Planet
Okay, so, hear me out (I’m a bit drunk, so fair warning).  What if Earth actually was created the way that Genesis 1 says it was? What if the initial six days were eras of existence that Earth went through? This is probably a concept that has been done to death, but it’s my turn, dangit! (All quotes are taken from the KJV.) “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Gen. 1:1-2 So here we’ve got God (howsoever you conceive of that concept) creating Earth and Sky. Earth is, at this point, formless and floating in nothingness, but there is water on the surface. I’m picturing an ocean planet, dim due to having no star of its own, floating through the nothingness of space.  “And God said, ‘Let there be light’: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good:” Gen. 1:3-4 This is when Earth found itself being brought in by a star. The Sun. The Earth had found a home. This was good. “...and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” Gen. 1:4-5 Earth gets a rotation and begins to spin through a rough orbit of the Sun. All sides of the planet get to experience sunlight. “And God said, ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters’. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.” Gen. 1:6-7 Earth’s rotation begins to heat up the core of the planet, causing tectonic shift to begin to occur. The resting solid core of the Earth begins to move, and the land begins to reassert itself in different patterns, some higher in elevation and some lower. “And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. And God said, ‘Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear’: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.” Gen. 1:8-10 Here, the heat of the Sun upon the Earth’s surface begins to create an atmosphere, the water being evaporated up out of the oceans and into what could then be considered to be air. This evaporation would deplete the seas considerably, making dry land a possibility for the first time. “And God said, ‘Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth’: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.” Gen. 1:11-13 After the dry land is established, life is able to take root on the face of the Earth. The soil, being enriched by the many different minerals available in the ocean, begins to bring forth life. This life reproduces by the seed that it creates, practically just by DNA cloning. “And God said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night: and let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years. And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth’: and it was so. And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.” Gen. 1:14-19 This is a longer passage, but it could hold a very specific message: Earth’s orbit stabilised, and our beloved planet finally got itself a Moon. This stabilisation caused the beginning of the first seasons and the first warm and cold spells. The stars, now visible from the planet’s surface due to the stabilisation of the atmosphere, give a tool for navigating the seasons and years. “And God said, ‘Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven’. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Ad God blessed them, saying, ‘Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth’. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.” Gen. 1:20-23 Here we have the creation of the animal kingdom. “Whales” is a convenient translation of a word that, in Hebrew, means “long creatures” in the water. “Fowl” refers to everything winged. Some sort of winged creature(s) began its evolution at this juncture, with its reproduction taking place on the dry ground. “And God said, ‘Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind’: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” The animals that humanity would eventually subjugate begin their reign upon the Earth. Large mammals with steady horns and smaller amphibians and reptiles begin to have their day in the Sun. “And God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth’. So God created man in his own image, and in the image (likeness) of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth’. Gen. 1:26-28 This is my favourite part: “...let them have dominion...” “...male and female he created them...” Humanity, as it is currently conceived of, finally makes its debut. This is the first creature on the planet to be able to ponder the wonders of creation, rather than simply being a part of it. “...replenish the earth” makes me curious about what may have been here before we took over... “And God said, ‘Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat: and to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat’: and it was so. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” Gen. 1:29-31 This seems to depict humans in their gatherer role, enjoying the fruits of their mild labour, being able to live off of the land with ease, eating from every tree which bears fruit and herbs which bear seed. For some reason the predators are not mentioned at this point, which I find curious... There it is, folks. My midnight ramble about Genesis 1. (Any typos are due to 16% Oranjeboom. Thank you, Netherlands!) This isn’t a new rant in the world, I’m sure, but I’m new to theology, and I think it’s fascinating! P.S. The drunk got worse from beginning to end. Kudos if you got this far!

This put me damn near in tears; read this encounter with police that professor Steve Locke went through, and it will explain everything you need to know about being black in 21st century America. If you dont get it from this then really I’m wasting my time trying to explain it.
“This is what I wore to work today.
On my way to get a burrito before work, I was detained by the police.
I noticed the police car in the public lot behind Centre Street. As I was walking away from my car, the cruiser followed me. I walked down Centre Street and was about to cross over to the burrito place and the officer got out of the car.
“Hey my man,” he said.
He unsnapped the holster of his gun.
I took my hands out of my pockets.
“Yes?” I said.
“Where you coming from?”
“Home.”
Where’s home?”
“Dedham.”
How’d you get here?”
“I drove.”
He was next to me now. Two other police cars pulled up. I was standing in from of the bank across the street from the burrito place. I was going to get lunch before I taught my 1:30 class. There were cops all around me.
I said nothing. I looked at the officer who addressed me. He was white, stocky, bearded.
“You weren’t over there, were you?” He pointed down Centre Street toward Hyde Square.
“No. I came from Dedham.”
“What’s your address?”
I told him.
“We had someone matching your description just try to break into a woman’s house.”
A second police officer stood next to me; white, tall, bearded. Two police cruisers passed and would continue to circle the block for the 35 minutes I was standing across the street from the burrito place.
“You fit the description,” the officer said. “Black male, knit hat, puffy coat. Do you have identification.”
“It’s in my wallet. May I reach into my pocket and get my wallet?”
“Yeah.”
I handed him my license. I told him it did not have my current address. He walked over to a police car. The other cop, taller, wearing sunglasses, told me that I fit the description of someone who broke into a woman’s house. Right down to the knit cap.
Barbara Sullivan made a knit cap for me. She knitted it in pinks and browns and blues and oranges and lime green. No one has a hat like this. It doesn’t fit any description that anyone would have. I looked at the second cop. I clasped my hands in front of me to stop them from shaking.
“For the record,” I said to the second cop, “I’m not a criminal. I’m a college professor.” I was wearing my faculty ID around my neck, clearly visible with my photo.
“You fit the description so we just have to check it out.” The first cop returned and handed me my license.
“We have the victim and we need her to take a look at you to see if you are the person.”
It was at this moment that I knew that I was probably going to die. I am not being dramatic when I say this. I was not going to get into a police car. I was not going to present myself to some victim. I was not going let someone tell the cops that I was not guilty when I already told them that I had nothing to do with any robbery. I was not going to let them take me anywhere because if they did, the chance I was going to be accused of something I did not do rose exponentially. I knew this in my heart. I was not going anywhere with these cops and I was not going to let some white woman decide whether or not I was a criminal, especially after I told them that I was not a criminal. This meant that I was going to resist arrest. This meant that I was not going to let the police put their hands on me.
If you are wondering why people don’t go with the police, I hope this explains it for you.
Something weird happens when you are on the street being detained by the police. People look at you like you are a criminal. The police are detaining you so clearly you must have done something, otherwise they wouldn’t have you. No one made eye contact with me. I was hoping that someone I knew would walk down the street or come out of one of the shops or get off the 39 bus or come out of JP Licks and say to these cops, “That’s Steve Locke. What the FUCK are you detaining him for?”
The cops decided that they would bring the victim to come view me on the street. The asked me to wait. I said nothing. I stood still.
“Thanks for cooperating,” the second cop said. “This is probably nothing, but it’s our job and you do fit the description. 5′ 11″, black male. One-hundred-and-sixty pounds, but you’re a little more than that. Knit hat.”
A little more than 160. Thanks for that, I thought.
An older white woman walked behind me and up to the second cop. She turned and looked at me and then back at him. “You guys sure are busy today.”
I noticed a black woman further down the block. She was small and concerned. She was watching what was going on. I focused on her red coat. I slowed my breathing. I looked at her from time to time.
I thought: Don’t leave, sister. Please don’t leave.
The first cop said, “Where do you teach?”
“Massachusetts College of Art and Design.” I tugged at the lanyard that had my ID.
“How long you been teaching there?”
“Thirteen years.”
We stood in silence for about 10 more minutes.
An unmarked police car pulled up. The first cop went over to talk to the driver. The driver kept looking at me as the cop spoke to him. I looked directly at the driver. He got out of the car.
“I’m Detective Cardoza. I appreciate your cooperation.”
I said nothing.
“I’m sure these officers told you what is going on?”
“They did.”
“Where are you coming from?”
“From my home in Dedham.”
“How did you get here?”
“I drove.”
“Where is your car?”
“It’s in the lot behind Bukhara.” I pointed up Centre Street.
“Okay,” the detective said. “We’re going to let you go. Do you have a car key you can show me?”
“Yes,” I said. “I’m going to reach into my pocket and pull out my car key.”
“Okay.”
I showed him the key to my car.
The cops thanked me for my cooperation. I nodded and turned to go.
“Sorry for screwing up your lunch break,” the second cop said.
I walked back toward my car, away from the burrito place. I saw the woman in red.
“Thank you,” I said to her. “Thank you for staying.”
“Are you ok?” She said. Her small beautiful face was lined with concern.
“Not really. I’m really shook up. And I have to get to work.”
“I knew something was wrong. I was watching the whole thing. The way they are treating us now, you have to watch them. ”
“I’m so grateful you were there. I kept thinking to myself, ‘Don’t leave, sister.’ May I give you a hug?”
“Yes,” she said. She held me as I shook. “Are you sure you are ok?”
“No I’m not. I’m going to have a good cry in my car. I have to go teach.”
“You’re at MassArt. My friend is at MassArt.”
“What’s your name?” She told me. I realized we were Facebook friends. I told her this.
“I’ll check in with you on Facebook,” she said.
I put my head down and walked to my car.
My colleague was in our shared office and she was able to calm me down. I had about 45 minutes until my class began and I had to teach. I forgot the lesson I had planned. I forget the schedule. I couldn’t think about how to do my job. I thought about the fact my word counted for nothing, they didn’t believe that I wasn’t a criminal. They had to find out. My word was not enough for them. My ID was not enough for them. My handmade one-of-a-kind knit hat was an object of suspicion. My Ralph Lauren quilted blazer was only a “puffy coat.” That white woman could just walk up to a cop and talk about me like I was an object for regard. I wanted to go back and spit in their faces. The cops were probably deeply satisfied with how they handled the interaction, how they didn’t escalate the situation, how they were respectful and polite.
I imagined sitting in the back of a police car while a white woman decides if I am a criminal or not. If I looked guilty being detained by the cops imagine how vile I become sitting in a cruiser? I knew I could not let that happen to me. I knew if that were to happen, I would be dead.
Nothing I am, nothing I do, nothing I have means anything because I fit the description.
I had to confess to my students that I was a bit out of it today and I asked them to bear with me. I had to teach.
After class I was supposed to go to the openings for First Friday. I went home.”
~Steve Locke

being gay and alive is a radical offensive act of protest that none of us signed up for and sometimes it can genuinely feel too hard to bear but please, please keep going. there’s no better weapon against the people who want us dead than to live, and keep trying, and keep doing things that make you happy and loving eachother and thriving in whatever way you can in a world that doesn’t want you. they can’t get rid of us that fucking easily

Hmm...
I haven’t done tarot in too long.  Also, I need to read more runes...  Is anyone interested in a reading?  This offer is good until midnight my time, which gives it about ten and a half hours from the time of this posting.  (12am CST - Chinese Standard Time)
I read on lots of questions, but I can’t tell you anything medical (just not certified for that).  My tarot cards are mean, but specific.  My runes are general but genteel.  Let me know.
