It would seem that I’ve been gone for about 3 years now. My apologies! Just for the fun of it, here’s the drama of the day. Today we will be discussing the Pokemon scandal. Many controversies surrounded the franchise after the release of Red, Blue and Green. They were first accused of promoting gambling and sadist themes, as well as teaching witchcraft to children. (what?) The Pokemon anime has accusations of its own after the episode “Holiday Hi-Jynx” was released. Many people speculated that they were promoting racism and black face. That episode was later banned in many countries. However, the backlash was bad enough that the design of Jynx was changed from black (as in the color) skin to purple skin. More recently, PETA decided claim that Pokemon was promoting animal abuse and cockfighting. PETA even went so far as to create not one, but two ripoff games to demonstrate their point. Pokemon was my childhood, and nowadays people will find anything to try to cancel a person/company/franchise. All I can conclude is that Pokemon is a children’s franchise, and I’m sure they weren’t promoting those things. Always remember, today’s news is tomorrow’s drama, and that’s what I’ll cover. Drama of the Day

Fortnite has been all the rage these days. Fortnite is an online video game first released in 2017 and developed by Epic Games. It is available as separate software packages having different game modes that otherwise share the same general gameplay and game engine. Kids and grownups alike all enjoy this popular cartoon based shooting game. There have been many problems with the game as well. There have been many child predators who join kids in the games and try to become friends with them. Then they convince the kids to give them either their parent’s credit card, or all of their personal information. This has been on the news a few times. Also a very similar game called Pub G has tried to sue Fortnite for copyright infringement. Although, this is not the only game Pub G has tried to sue. There have been other shooting games Pub G pressed charges against. I personally don’t like Fortnite or Pub G or any of those games. Drama of the Day

On July 6, 2018, Roblox appeared on the news. Roblox is a massively multiplayer online game creation platform that allows users to design their own games and play a wide variety of different types of games created by other users through Roblox Studio. The news was a about a 7 year old girl on one of the many games, got raped on the game by two male players. Her mother claims her daughter was gang raped and encourages other parents to tell kids to quit Roblox. To which Roblox replies “Behavior like this is unacceptable, as we try to keep Roblox a safe and fun place for kids. The two players will be permanently banned” So far, Roblox has been on the news twice for this same reason. If you want me to cover the other Roblox case, let me know in the comments. Today’s drama is all about the suicide of a 15 year old kid. His father blamed it on Doki Doki Literature Club, a psychological horror game which at first looks like a regular visual novel. There are clear warnings stating:”This game is not suitable for children or those that are easily disturbed” on the steam page, as well as when you boot up the game. There is a consent that you must be 13 or older to play this game. On this drama case, I’m siding with the game. The game has clear warnings, and the game didn’t make him commit suicide. He had free will. His parents should’ve kept track of the games he was downloading and playing. BBC: “We believe this game is a risk to children and young people” The warning clearly said the game is not suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed. With BBC’S claim being that the animation style was aimed at children, that would mean Hentai and all animes were aimed at children as well. In conclusion, DDLC is an amazing game and it was not the game’s fault that the boy commited suicide. For more info, watch the video above. Drama of the day

_So you all have probably heard about how people have been complaining about Yandere Simulator.

Yandere Simulator is an upcoming stealth action video game currently in development by YandereDev. The game centers upon an obsessively lovesick schoolgirl named Ayano Aishi, also known as "Yandere-chan"as she tries to win the heart of her senpai, Taro Yamada. I have seen many people expressing their thoughts about this game not only on tumblr, but on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc. I’m not taking any sides on this matter, However I have heard some compelling points have been made by those people as well as the game’s supporters. The main complaints have been centered around the implementation of the game’s first rival, Osana Najimi. The game has been in development for 4-5 years as of now. People have been getting angry that YandereDev has just now enabled the comments section because fans kept on asking when Osana was gonna be finished, then using his seemingly annoying character Midori Gurin to represent his fans. He has also been caught saying very rude things to fans on various social media sites. Aside from that, I love the concept of this game and I can’t wait until the full version comes out. I think that if YandereDev hires a few programmers and coders,progress on Osana and all other rivals will sky rocket. Always Remember: Today’s news is tomorrow’s drama, and that is what I’ll cover!
