hello  everyone!  merry  christmas  eve  (or  christmas  depending  on  your  timezone)—i’ll  be  around  for  most  of  today,  and  hopping  off  later  tonight,  so  now  is  the  best  time  to  send  in  reserves  or  questions  or  even  apps!  we  have  less  than  three  days  until  acceptances  .  .  .  so  i’d  be  happy  to  see  it  all!

Why is only one app per skeleton?

hi  there!  i'm  currently  allowing  only  one  app  per  skeleton  to  get  this  up  and  off  the  ground,  but,  obviously,  that  app  review  process  means  there  is  no  guarantee  that  every  single  app  will  be  accepted  (although  i  hope  they  will!).  if  i  feel  as  though  an  app  doesn't  fit  the  skeleton,  it  will  be  reopened,  but  for  now  i  see  no  reason  to  make  skeletons  competitive.  if  that  changes,  it'll  be  in  the  next  round!

exciting  and  important  news!  the  poll  has  decided  that  our  first  acceptance  will  be  on  thursday,  december  26th,  at  7  pm  cst.  everyone  will  be  free  to  submit  apps  up  until  noon  that  day.  i  can't  wait  to  see  what  you  all  come  up  with!

so  a  lovely  anon  reached  out  about  possibly  setting  an  acceptance  date,  and  after  some  consideration,  i  decided  that  i  think  that  would  be  for  the  best!  please  help  me  out  in  choosing  a  specific  date  by  replying  to  the  poll  below.  all  and  any  input  will  be  much  appreciated! note:  all  apps  will  need  to  be  submitted  by  noon  on  the  day  of  acceptance,  the  submit  will  close  at  that  day.

do you have an idea of when you’re going to have initial acceptances? are you looking for an app for each virtue and vice?

hi  there!  i'm  not  waiting  for  every  vice  and  virtue,  but  i  do  want  to  have  at  least  seven  apps  total,  or  at  least  three  in  each  pantheon  before  deciding  on  an  acceptance  date!  once  i  get  that  minimum  in,  i'll  set  up  a  poll  so  everyone  can  tell  me  how  soon  they  want  acceptances  to  happen.

hi! i saw that we'll start writing like a week or two after they've been taken. what information will the champions know by this point? will it differ from champion to champion? and how did the information come out? like, if it was an announcement made to all of them it would make sense that everyone knows, but if they weren't told anything large-scale, would some champions still be in the dark about why they are there?

hello  and  thank  you  for  the  ask! by  the  time  the  rp  begins,  each  champion  has  been  given  some  basic  information,  though  they're  still  in  the  early  stages  of  settling  in,  and  there  will  be  discrepancies  in  their  understanding. the  oracles  gave  each  champion  a  private  audience  upon  their  arrival,  during  which  they  provided  the  basic  knowledge.  this  means  there  has  been  no  large-scale  announcement  where  everyone  heard  the  same  things  at  once.  some  champions  may  have  heard  more  or  less  depending  on  the  oracle's  approach  or  how  open  the  champion  was  to  questioning  them. what  is  true  for  all  champions  is  this:  the  council  of  oracles  made  sure  to  tell  each  champion  that  they  were  chosen  and  that  their  arrival  in  aeternis  was  expected,  but  they  likely  did  not  go  into  specific  details  as  to  not  overwhelm  them.  they  know  they're  part  of  something  larger,  but  not  exactly  what  that  requires.  they've  been  told  they’ll  play  a  key  role  in  aeternis,  but  the  details—such  as  how  their  powers  will  manifest  or  how  they're  expected  to  lead—are  still  up  in  the  air. there  are  also  whispers  traveling  fast  through  the  general  public  about  the  champions'  arrival,  but  an  official  introduction  has  not  been  made  just  yet.  i  don't  want  to  give  away  too  much  of  what  i  plan  for  the  first  event  and  task,  but  it  will  definitely  allow  champions  to  uncover  more  about  their  specific  role,  why  they  were  chosen  for  it,  and  their  relationship  to  their  patron  deity.

hi! the champions were “stolen” from earth from the modern day, right? so it would be 2024 in earth during the course of the rp?

yes,  that  is  correct!  they  all  were  whisked  off  to  aeternis  in  2024,  all  at  the  same  time. in  aeternis  itself,  however,  everything  probably  feels  a  little  bit  different—there's  no  definitive  sense  of  time  there,  no  clocks  or  rising  and  setting  suns  to  help  mark  the  passage  of  hours  throughout  the  day.  the  champions  would  likely  wake  up  with  the  strange  sensation  of  not  knowing  how  long  they’ve  been  there,  or  at  what  period  of  time  the  new  world  exists  in  at  all.
