Sweaters are typically knit from thicker materials while knit shirts are knitted with thread rather than yarn. Hoodies are not usually made out of the same material as sweaters and a sweater with a zipper down the front or any kind of front closure is usually a cardigan.

Turtlenecks are merely sweaters with necks long enough to be rolled over. This is convenient for those with aversions to scarves, which can be used to strangle you. Sweaters with long necks that are not long enough to be rolled over are generally called mock turtlenecks.

SWEATERS =/= TURTLENECKS.

I’LL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE ASSUMES I WEAR TURTLENECKS WHEN THEY’RE ACTUALLY SWEATERS?? DO YOU IDIOTS KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TURTLENECK AND A NORMAL SWEATER OR ARE YOU JUST TOO INCOMPETENT TO ABSORB THE SIMPLE FACTS OF LIFE?

SWEATERS ARE A HEAVIER, USUALLY FLEECE OR WOOL, VERSION OF A LONG-SLEEVED SHIRT. SWEATERS CAN BE PULLED OVER THE HEAD OR HAVE A ZIPPER DOWN THE FRONT FOR EASIER APPLICATION TO ONE’S BODY. ONES WITH A HOOD ARE OFTEN CALLED HOODIES.

TURTLENECKS ARE AN ABOMINATION.

`I don’t know. He never really went into detail with them… which is very strange, considering we used to share a brain. He caught on to the concept of secrecy very quickly. When he resurrected on Prospit, he did have the knowledge of a learned magician, but he’d dropped all his supplies so much of it was useless.
