I hope everyone is okay and staying healthy in their cozy Hobbit holes right now. <3
For the past year (actually over a year), I have been in the process of moving. It’s been all packing and loading and driving and unloading every day while I moved all of my things, all of my mom’s things, and everything we had in our store. As soon as we got it all moved, we started renovations on our new store, my apartment upstairs, and my mom’s new home. Mostly we were focused on the store as we’d had nothing but money going out for over a year and needed to get that done quickly to have money coming the other way again.
I opened on March 5th, had a great first week, then had to close as I went into self-quarantine on March 15th. I don’t know when we will be able to open again. A lot of people are in this situation right now. It helps right now to keep busy and I still have a lot of renovating left to do. It’s nice to live and work in the same building so I can get things done and I’m doing my best to stay uplifted, but I do have my concerns when I go down into my dark store not knowing when I will be able to open again.
I know everyone is dealing with this same thing at some level or another. If there is anyone who has been thinking about becoming a patron, I would really appreciate it right about now. My store is a non-essential and I know fanfiction is as well, but if you are in a better position this would be a great time to support writers and artists. If you can’t afford it right now, but want to help, please share your favorite writers’ and artists’ posts, blogs, etc. right now to get them out there in front of as many people as possible so that possibly someone who is in a position to help support them can. Thank you!
XOXO

Dwalin sat stunned in the threadbare armchair. He watched Y/N as she stomped away from him, her bare feet as thunderous as boots. The door slammed behind her and she disappeared into the corridor while he tried to sort through his sudden flood of thoughts. He could not fathom why she would have put on such a display and all for him…
He had been certain that she hated him. When they had stood at the altar and he had seen the look in her eyes; dread, resignation, disgust. He had not truly thought out the marriage but instead recklessly listened to that voice in his head which he so often ignored. It had been more to him than a last chance, for at his age he was well past eligibility, but a dream come true.

Not much had changed in the week since your nuptials. Dwalin still refused to look at you, speak to you, or really even acknowledge your existence. After your confrontation outside the forge, a tension had grown between you; a bridge slowly crumbling which seemed irreparable. The only thing that had changed was that he had found the stomach to share a bed with you.
You had thought, at first, that it was progress. That somewhere in his thick skull he had finally processed your mutual predicament. Yet, you had once more been mistaken. He slept with his back to you, as far from you as he could lay, nearly upon the edge of the mattress. Often when you woke up, he was already gone and you were as alone as you had ever been.

You had buried your head beneath the pillow, hiding yourself under the covers in your anguish. You wept into the mattress, waiting for your husband to reluctantly take his place next to you. Dwalin would certainly not touch you but you could not imagine he would pass up his own bed after such a long day. But the mattress never shifted and you fell asleep with tears in your eyes.
You awoke, suffocating below the pillow. You rolled over, the other half of the bed vacant. You stretched your arms and slowly pushed yourself up. Dwalin snored in the corner of the room, sitting in the ancient chair, arms crossed and head lolling unceremoniously to one side. He would rather sleep upright than next to you. Your chest seized as it had done over and over since you had stood at the altar.

You walked down the stony corridor in silence. The only noise to be heard was your breath and that of your new husband; the former coming more and more difficult by the moment. You glanced at Dwalin from the corner of your eye and found him as grim as ever. He seemed to be avoiding looking at you all together and it was as if you weren’t even there.
It would be better if you weren’t. The both of you’d be a deal happier. At least, he would. You had never thought he could be more miserable than he already was. You pulled at the cuff of your dress anxiously as you walked along, nearing your marital chambers with dread. You would spend the rest of your life thus. Walking every night, as if in a death knell, along the stony corridors. Alone.

For Better or Worse (One)
Imagine struggling with an arranged marriage with Dwalin because he’s never said a kind word to you in your life even though deep down he truly loves you and is just shit at showing his feelings. (suggested/requested by @veganeddie)
*tages: @everyjourneylove @somewhereinimagination @this-kitty-has-claws*
You remembered the day your mother had told you. The look of relief which had overcome her and the sense of dread which suffocated you. You had known it was foolish to agree to her terms but you had not truly believed she would find a dwarf mad enough to wed you. When you were a young dam and the suitors more inclined to seek you out, you had scared them away with your ax.
You had resisted your mother’s pleas to marry for years; decades, truly. But when your father had died just before the Mountain was reclaimed and you returned to the ashes of what remained, you could not deny her. She was devastated. Your only sibling, Kain, had chosen to remain in the Blue Mountains with his wife and children and your mother bemoaned that her last years would be spent alone.

Twist of Fate
Dwalin walked beside Thorin in bitter silence. The only sound below the cold light of the moon was that of the parade of fatigued boots upon the cobbled streets and the hushed chatter of the dwarves to which they belong. An argument had stilled Dwalin’s tongue, having pleaded with his king to avoid the small town and stifled by the stubborn snakebite of his king’s reproach.
Thorin had insisted the company was tired and another cave would do little for their condition. A tavern would rejuvenate and offer them one last respite before the long trek to the Mountain. Dwalin was wary of the eyes which could espy them in the crowded halls of an inn; what stories could be carried away from the liquored stools to enemies which sought to undermine their homecoming. Whatever his misgivings, he could not oppose his king’s orders but could remain vigilant to those who may seek to observe them.

Dwalin ~ Distraction
Word Drabbles 400 Followers Challenge
Requested by @everyjourneylove
The snores of the Company prevented much sleep, but luckily, being on watch, it also helped keep you awake. It had taken you a few times, but you eventually learnt to drown it out, which meant you could actually focus on keeping watch.
Well, almost.
The dwarves were often reluctant to let you keep watch, not because you couldn’t do it, but because you tended to let your mind wander and not actually focus. It wasn’t than anything had happened, but more than once you’d forgotten to wake the next one up for their shift, meaning that you were exhausted the next day.

Prompt request
himoverflowers asked:
I saw the prompts you uploaded! Can I please request for “real smooth, tripping over air.” and “Maybe I’m just crazy.“? With any character, thank you!
@himoverflowers – Picked Dwalin, just cuz I wanted some fluff with the giant grump today. Hope you like it!
The Marketplace in Dale was bustling as normal while the new Captain of the Guard, Dwalin, strolled through trailing the steps of his two Nephews, Heirs to the Throne, eyes trailing from side to side inspecting for any signs of possible damage or anything to tempt the Princes back into their mischievous ways. His orders were clear, get the boys through their errands and back home safely without any harm to them or the fledgling relationship with the still partially collapsed city the returning Dwarves were tasked into repairing, though his motives were not entirely matching his orders.
With his cleanest fur lined vest, newly polished knuckle covers and his re-growing Mohawk and beard immaculately cared for he’d hoped for one more glimpse of the Woman he’d noticed the last week, arriving with a haggard looking group of travelers who’d had quite a spine chilling journey to the reclaimed city for work. Her story being the way he’d first noticed her, forcing his way through the back of the large group attempting to cram into the crowded pub in Dale, where the group had claimed the last of the available rooms and spent the night telling and retelling the tale, for hours he sat and watched the animation in her face as the story flowed from her lips again and again while the crowds all sat yearning for more. His eyes taking in each detail of her in the dancing firelight that surrounded her beside the roaring fire, until one of his underlings was sent to fetch him nearly breaking his heart at his having to turn away from that incredible smile as it flashed to the crowds again.
Finally during the last errand of the trip he’d spotted the woman with a small apron curled around her waist assisting in one of the small shops that had been newly opened carrying a great variety of items from several different Dwarves who’d yet to finished the repairs on their own shops, he passed by tracing the steps of the Princes catching the smile following the bows she’d offered and he felt his body catching itself from the small trip it had encountered. Straightening again he glanced down finding nothing there and nearly glaring holes in his disobedient feet then avoiding your gaze as he took two long strides to catch the Princes again mumbling, “Real smooth, tripping over air.”
.
The next month flew by with very little time able to be spent in his chase of her, his mind however unrelenting in returning to the woman whenever possible, through each task and trip he’d catch flashes of her crossing his path, sometimes an outfit, the end of her hair flowing in the air behind with a few scattered glimpses of those entrancing eyes.
Shaking his head again to focus on the small list of sentences he’d prepared, hoping that if he’d got lost for words, he could possibly claim one of those from his memory to regain himself after he could have sworn a breeze carrying her scent blew past him.
Passing through the shop door he glanced around and exhaled deeply at the large shop without any sight of her before deciding it would be strange of him to not at least browse without an excuse to leave. Walking through the small maze of glass encased displays he glanced up quickly to see a portly blond Dwarf eyeing the small statue in the case before him where he could have sworn to have just seen her figure passing, biting back his groan he continued on thinking to himself, “Maybe I’m just crazy.” Soon enough he’d managed 2/3 of the way through the displays before noticing he was alone in the store, he turned in a small circle not noticing the woman walking up behind him, scanning again before attempting to head to the door with his feet stopping as he felt one of his axes quickly pulled from its carrier strapped across his back beside its twin.
Turning quickly with a large glare that landed on the woman he’d been hoping to find giving his axe a twirl before placing it in her hands clasped behind her back shooting him a large smirk, “I believe I have just the thing for you, Master..”
He drew in his glare as best he could and nearly growled out, “Dwalin.” Though his clenched teeth drawing her smirk larger with an added spark through her eyes.
She nodded quickly widening her smile, “Master Dwalin I believe this axe,” giving it another spin as she held it out to her side for his inspection, “Is just the thing a Royal Guard like yourself is in need of.”
He stepped closer with his hand outstretched attempting to reclaim it only for her to take a step back and hold her arm straight behind her again, “Course it is, it’s mine!”
He paused to glance at her finger being held up from her free hand through her still holding smirk, “Of course it is, how could it not be meant for you, I mean just look at the skill that went into the crafting of this incredible weapon!”
His eyes narrowed through a rumbling exhale and he stepped forward continuing their dance at another try for it, “I know what it took to craft it, I’m the one that forged it along with the twin on my back!”
She avoided his grab again, “And of course a fierce warrior like yourself really should have the complete set, for the proper price of course.”
He froze in his step causing her to flinch in taking her next one, his eyebrow giving a slight twitch before he replied, “You’re not serious, you’re trying to sell me my own weapon?! And just what price would you be demanding for it?!”
Her smirk grew again through his next attempt, “Oh I assure you it is an incredibly reasonable price.”
He grunted again at your switching the axe again behind her back to her free hand, “Give me my axe!”
Then paused as she said, “Gladly.” Stepping forward for what he’d expected to be her crashing into him, only to blink again having a hand curled around his cheek securing her firm kiss, his eyes nearly slammed shut at the lips briefly leaving his barely a breath away before meeting them again hoping to draw a response from the stunned Dwarf before he eagerly closed the distance pressing himself closer to her while she led the passionate kiss, their sudden parting nearly drawing him to stumble again through a silent gasp.
Her smirk returned through another spin of his axe while she walked around him to secure it across his back again, “Your axe Master Dwalin, paid in full and properly wrapped.” Moving to be before him again as he was locked into her gaze again, his body frozen as her smirk grew into a smile and her eyes dropped to the floor through the turn after bowing her head to him, sliding her fingers gently across the cases she passed while he drew in a shaky breath forcing his now seemingly hundred pound boot forward, “You forgot my change.”
A small hopeful flicker in his eyes grew as she turned again with another curious smirk and she stepped forward, “Really?”
He nodded his head as a small smirk of his own slid onto his face, “Aye, ya did.” Crossing the distance between them in three steps as she softly replied, “How terribly rude of me.” Smiling quickly before his lips crashed into hers again drawing her into another passionate kiss while his arms curled around her drawing her closer against him through a contented hum.

Sweet as Sugar.
@fizzy-custard
She was a curious thing, so small and shy. Dwalin watches, amused as she runs to and from the kitchen, skirts swishing as she turns on her heels. Thorin had rented out a house for a few days. They all needed it. Some more so than others.
Hushed whispers, well hushed for dwarfs, erupted from the table as the sweet smell of pastries wafted in from the kitchen. “I was wonderin’ what the lil’ lass was doing in there.” Bofur chuckles out as y/n emerges from the kitchen, arms full of pies.
Her cheeks were flushed a cherry red, flour was spread across her upper brow. Y/n grins. “I-I thought I would make something.” She sets the tins down on the table as she grabs a fistfull of her skirt. “For all of you.” Bofur grins wildly as Kili comes jumping out of nowhere.
Kili’s arm wraps around y/n’s small waist. “Now isn’t this a nice surprise to walk into!” He jerks his back as he catches sight of Dwalins glare. “Heh.” He grabs a tin and rins off with it, Bombers face falls as the pie is taken straight from under his nose. Y/n huffs and places her hands on her hips.
“Kili! Put that back right now!” The brown haired dwarf smirks, a mischievous glint in his brown eyes as he holds the pie high in the air.
“Make me lass. Lets us see what you can do.” Only to lose that grin as a rolling pin smacks him in the back of the head.
“Inconsiderate little tart.” Y/n’s cheeks flushed red as she placed it back on the table. The rest of the dwarfs laughing as Kili nurses the back of his head. Dwalin watches the others interact, all of them digging into the pies with glee. The young princes had sandwiched y/n between them. All gentle laughter and flirting. Dwalin could feel jealousy rearing its ugly head.
He has liked her for a while now. Loving the small things that she would do. The way she would treat the youngest in the group with gentle hands and a soft smile. The way she would hum softly to herself as she cooked or the way her hips swayed side to side as she walked. He adored it when she would get flustered and bite her lower lip. The way she stuttered and fumbled whenever she tried to speak.
Fili smirks as y/n laughs behind her hand before saying something that has her blushing beat red and smacking his upper arm. All with a smile on her face. Dwalin growls, hand tightening on the grip of his axe. Balin chuckles and leans backwards as his brother makes an ubrupt exit out side. The laughing stops.“D-Dwalin?” Y/n rises from the table with a half hearted excuse, a few knowing looks are thrown around the room as she leaves.
The door opens and closes with a quiet click as y/n makes her way outside. Her red skirts fluttering around her ankles as she tries to catch up with the bald dwarf. Dwalin stops next to the stables and looks over his shoulder. “Go back inside lass. Ye don’t need ta be out here.” She huffs, cheeks blowing out as she does so. Her hands fall onto her hips as her lips purse into a straight line. All of it enduring to the gruff dwarf.
“I’ll go back only when you t-tell me what’s wrong.” Dwalin shakes his head and steps into the stables, ignoring the snickering of the horses as he seats himself on a low shelf.
“Go back and flirt with your princes some more lass. There is nothing here for you but the gruffness of an old bear.” She scowls and crosses her arms under her chest.
“Is this what this is about. Are you jealous?” Dwalin snorts as he crosses his arms.
“Hard to be jealous of what ye don’t have lassie.” Y/n smiles.
“And what if you did?” Dwalin arches a bushy brow.
“What would you be going on about?” Y/n looks down at the floor and folds her arms behind her back as she scuffs the floor with the tip of her boot. Dwalin chuckles as he pushes himself off of the shelf before standing in front on the girl.
He places two fingers under her chin and tilts her head upwards. A faint pink dusts across the bridge of her nose. “Well. I. I uh?” Her head tilts down as her brow scrunches in frustration. “Oh Mahal.” Dwalin chuckles, a deep resonating sound from deep inside his chest.
“I am starting to think.” Dwalin begins as he cups her cheek in order to look at wide eyes. “That you have the same feelings that I hold for you.” The redness is all the answer he needs before he brings his lips to hers. Y/n squeaks before warping her arms around his neck and standing on the tips of her toes. They grin and pull back.
“Well.” Y/n gasps out. “I think I can guess what my dessert will be.” Dwalin growls and lifts her up as she wraps her legs around his broad waist. He sits her on the shelf, one hand sliding up into her dress and up her leg.
“Indeed amarlimê.” He whispers into her ear. “And I bet you are sweet as the sugar you so often eat.” He pulls her into another passionate kiss. Teeth clashing together as it becomes more heated. Hands twine into hair as another roams a soft and delicate body. Cloths are flung across the room as y/n is picked up once more an laid down on a pile of hay. Delicate kises are trailed down creamy skin as inaudible sigh passes between red lips. “You, my dear. Are as sweet as sugar.”
It was a few hours later before the others come looking for the two. Balin being the first to find them. The new couple where a pile of limbs underneath Dwalins furs. A dark red dress hanging from the side of a stall all the telling the old dwarf needs before backing out and closing the doors.
“It was about time brother.”

A/N: Here’s the final part for prayingdragon’s request, I hope ya’ll enjoy :D
Over the next while everything seemed to go smoothly. As you and the company neared Erebor a sense of satisfaction went through you all. Having passed Thranduil’s halls and having made it out alive was certainly a feat, and the company was particularly congratulatory concerning the blow you had saved Kili from during your escape. Orcs had happened to track the company, and your sharp eyes had spotted the arrow aimed at Kili, and your sword had swiftly deflected it. That was certainly your redeeming moment that proved your abilities.

A/N: Eyyyy, Part 2 for prayingdragon :D Who is seriously one of the funniest people I’ve met on Tumblr XD Check out their blog!
Through the day’s journey you kept your flower held preciously in your hands. Your eyes would flick to it occasionally and you’d blush and smile, then tuck it away and look up to see if anyone saw you. Luckily, most had their gazes fixed ahead.
It wasn’t long into traveling when one of your admirers stepped up, though.
It was Nori who spoke up. “Are you alright, Y/n? That looks heavy. Here, let me help you.” He went to grab your bag, but you hastily jerked out of his reach.

Forbidden kiss with Kili.
This one took a while and even went a different way from what I first had in mind, but I’m so happy with it! 😊 so here you are my dear Jay!
“Shh, You’re making too much noise love” Kíli murmurs against your heated skin as he kisses and nips at your neck. A gasp escapes you before you bite your lips, preventing a loud moan from slipping past them.
“You’re not making it easy to stay quiet Kí.” You whisper as his hands tighten on your hips, digging into the soft flesh and leaving bruises behind. “If we get caught, there’s going to be hell to pay Kíli”
“Yes, but it’s worth it” he growls and presses you harder against the wall that he’s trapped you against with his body. His mouth eagerly finds yours and you both moan into the kiss as you devour each other. Your arms tighten around his neck and you bury your fingers into his curled locks, a sharp tug draws a deep rumble from his chest that has you shivering.
Time is easily lost are you both grope and kiss each other with desperation, the long separation from each other driving you both mad. You both kiss the other sweetly with pecks against cheeks, eyes, and noses, or deep biting kisses against each others necks and mouths. Muffled moans and gasps fill the air around you in the little hidden alcove you’re presses into.
Just as Kíli’s hands slide under your dress and up your thighs, a throat clears and you both jolt back to reality, panting and flushed. You both turn to look at the intruder.
Fíli stands in front of you, an apologetic smile and flush to his cheeks. “As much as I would like to let you both continue, it’s cutting it close to where others will notice your absence.”
You frown sadly but nod. Technically, you and Kíli are breaking many traditions and rules seeing each other. The two weeks before the wedding, the bride and groom are forbidden from seeing each other. They’re even more forbidden from having any physical contact and kissing.
Unfortunately, Kíli had been away on a trip for two months before, arriving home just in time for the separation to start. It had greatly worn you both down, unable to see your One for so long. Thankfully, Fíli understood and saw how miserable the two of you were and with Bilbo’s help, had been able to sneak the two of you away to a hidden spot to see the other.
“We need to get going Kíli, we have a council meeting soon.” Fíli says with a grimace, not at all looking forward to the long meeting awaiting them.
Kíli nods before turning to you and kissing you tenderly. “I love you amrilime.”
“And I love you my prince.” You whisper against his lips. “Only a week left and then I will be all yours.”
Kíli’s eyes darken and he smirks, “Soon and I will make you mine.” He promises before pulling away. You both straighten your clothes and hair before parting ways. Fíli and Kíli one way, you and Bilbo, who had been around the corner, the other.
Before you get too far, Bilbo stops you with a grin and blush. “Maybe we should stop by your rooms first.”
You frown, confused by Bilbo’s suggestion. You flush brightly at his next words though.
“Those bite marks and hickeys on your neck will be a dead giveaway to what you two were up to.” He says with a laugh as you squeak and cover your neck.

can you do a rough sex smut for kili or fili, when they've had a super stressful day because nothing goes the way they planned,, so they go home && dominate the reader?
I hope this is good enough; I’m not very good with ‘domination’, I don’t know. :}
Long Day
~Reach down your hand in your pocket, Pull out some hope for me~{Inspired by song of the same title by Matchbox Twenty}
-Smut warning/rough sex-
You sighed as you made your way down thestone corridor towards your chamber door, anxious to lie down after such a long day.You pushed open the door with a yawn and stepped into the darkness beyond, noteven the hearth burned within the still room. You huffed once more as closedthe door and felt around for the flint you kept on the small round table;nothing. Another cruel jape in this endless day of mishaps.
“Where were you?” Fili’s voice halted yoursearch, his own tone tense with discontent.
“I have as many duties as yourself, husband,” You replied plainly as your toe kicked the flint upon the floor.
“You should let them wait for once,” Hereplied with as much irritation as you felt, “You leave little enough timefor your own husband.”
“I know it well,” You picked up the flintand tip-toed through the darkness, looking for a candle; it seemed they had allgone missing.
