Join us in Rotterdam this Sunday at 15:00 at ZOHO! 💫 for new Radicalism! Here is more about the festival... Moving away from a traditional top-down hierarchical role of the ‘Curator’, New Radicalism welcomes four (diaspora) curators closely engaged in the main cultural spheres of the MENA Region (Maghreb, Gulf and Levant) to shape the exhibition. With their varied professional backgrounds, by their role as artists, writers and game changers, the curators play an interesting role in the cultural field. With our powers combined we manifest, even if it’s just for four days, a communal creative space where MENA artists and artworks exist respectfully alongside and in relation to each other. Moving to a MENA imaginary that exists beyond man-made borders. (at MONO) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8PE-UcBtJW/?igshid=19km2ugolmkkw

This Saturday, 10 November, our “Wish You Were Here!” lecture performance goes to Cairo! for Tashweesh Arab feminism festival organised by Goethe Institut Kairo at Dokki venue at 7:30pm. ——— Foundland combines text, image, audio fragments and music sourced from the Faris and Yamna Naff collection at the Smithsonian Museum (Washington D.C.). Following their residency period in the world’s largest archive of early migration from the Middle East to the USA, they have developed an ongoing series called, “The New World”, of which “Wish You Were Here!” is an audio-visual lecture that invites history to help us navigate the present. ——- about TASHWEESH: https://bit.ly/2Q6yj7J (at Cairo, Egypt) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp0GaGZBkSr/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=5y4vngawuhgh
