PSA to students to actually tell your professors/directors what’s going on if it’s affecting your performance. I didn’t tell my orchestra director I’ve been dealing with janky instruments all quarter so when I told him after the fact he was shook because he didn’t know that was why I was struggling in rehearsals. To add to that, he also said if we don’t have any better school instruments available he would talk to the chair of the department about getting another one for students to use. Imagine how useful that would’ve been if I had said something earlier?? It wouldn’t have been immediate, but the timeline would be shorter if I had spoken up a couple months ago
