Daniel enjoying his time in the US after the US GP must more fulfilling after that good result- P5. Not saying he wouldn’t have enjoyed anyway, but just knowing that he got a top 5 when that Mclaren was slower than the Ferraris that weekend (he said it himself + the quali result showed that). Enjoying something when you know you’ve done a great job in whatever your job is, is so fulfilling and feels worth it. So happy for him 🥰

Home Race: Daniel Ricciardo

It’s the Australian GP and of course your boyfriend Daniel is the home hero. The Aus GP weekend is hectic to say the least. Everyone wants a piece of Daniel. He has SO many media commitments that Michael needs to make sure that they don’t burn out Daniel. Daniel needs to be in perfect condition both mentally and physically for the race. It’s hard to say no to the media because Daniel understands that he’s representing the country and the Australian people expect to see more Dan content during his home race. He gets it.

It’s Thursday evening and Daniel has already done about 5 media related things. He entered his hotel room with Blake (his friend and manager). He looked absolutely knackered. Michael, who waited in the room with you, handed Danny a bottle of water which he instantly chugged.

“It’s been a long day boys”, said Daniel.

“Yeah mate i can imagine. Get some rest now.”, said Michael as he patted Daniel’s shoulder and signalled Blake that they should leave the room.

Just before leaving, Blake hugged you and Daniel and Michael gave you a kiss on your cheek. This was very normal between you and Michael because you two had a very brother-sister type bond. You knew Michael even before you knew Daniel, back in your school days.

The two men left and you and Daniel were now finally alone in the room. He was seated on the bed and you walked over to him after shutting the door.

Daniel placed both his hands around your waist and pressed his head against your stomach. He took a long breath and just closed his eyes against your body. You knew how tired he really was. Media work can really drain someone. You ran your hands through his thick curls and gently massaged his head. He leaned into your touch and slowly picked you up and placed on on the bed. You both climbed further up the bed. You were the little spoon. You placed your head on his left arm. He placed his right arm on your waist and gently caressed it. He started making patterns on your skin. You picked up the blanket and covered both of you. Daniel pulled you closer to his chest and held your stomach. He kissed your neck and shoulder.

“I’ve had such a long day. I’m so glad i have you to myself now.”, whispered Daniel.

“I know. Thankfully you have some time to rest now.”, you replied.

The both of you spoke about how your day was for a few minutes and you also mentioned to him how you spent time with his mum and dad today. You had the best day with them. Daniel told you about his expectations for the weekend and how he was approaching everything.

You could sense it in Daniel’s tone that he was about to doze off so you turned your face and kissed him good night. He kissed you back more passionately than you expected and ran his hand through your hair and pulled you closer to his warm body.

You placed your head in the small space near his neck and kissed his muscular neck.

“Good night love, long day ahead ”, said Daniel

“Good nigh baby”, you replied.

One Shot: Jealousy

Summary- you’ve started training under Michael Italiano (Daniel’s performance coach) and Daniel doesn’t like it.

“Back straight y/n, your form isn’t correct”, said Michael as he tried to fix your posture while you were doing squats.

You started training with Michael 2 weeks ago. Your were always health conscious but never took training seriously and since Michael was training your boyfriend, Daniel, anyway, you asked him if he could train you doing his free time. So when the 3 of ya’ll were together in Daniel’s apartment in Monaco, Michael would train you.

You have always felt very comfortable with Michael. You both respect your friendship and the one major thing you guys had in common was that you both loved Daniel; Daniel was your boyfriend and Michael most definitely considered Danny his brother. Michael and you were almost like brother-sister and you both knew your boundaries. He knew you were Daniel’s that wasn’t going to change. He respected you and looked out for you. Anyone who was important to Daniel was important to Michael.

Today you started training just before lunch. You were wearing leggings and a sports bra. You trained in Daniel’s balcony. It was a sunny day in Monaco. There were many moments where Michael had to correct your posture or give you advice on how to do certain exercises better. If he ever had to touch you to correct your posture, he would ask for your permission and would make as less contact as possible. It was very professional between you two and you appreciated that. You never felt uncomfortable around him.

During your workout session, Daniel was sitting in the living area and watching a movie. After an hour when you were doing exercising, you and Michael headed into the apartment for lunch. Lunch was weird because Daniel hardly spoke and it seemed as if he was trying to avoid eye contact with you. You sensed something was up.

After you were done eating, you confronted Danny in your room.

“What’s going on? You’re avoiding me. We’ve always been frank with each other- i don’t understand what’s happening.”, you blurted out

“I know that you’ll say it’s not a big deal but i don’t like the way Michael touches you during your workout session.”, replied Daniel.

“Dan he’s my trainer, of course he’ll correct my posture etc! and he’s like a brother to me. I can’t believe that you’re jealous or feeling insecure about this. It’s Michael!”, you said.

“I know, I know. It’s silly and i don’t doubt Michael. He’s a good bloke, otherwise I would have never recommended him as a trainer for you. It’s just that i don’t want anyone but me to touch you.”, said Daniel as he grinned.

You rolled your eyes and hugged him, “You’re such a dumbass!!!”, you said while laughing.

Later at night you both went to the kitchen to get some ice cream and Daniel decided to have a make out session with you on the kitchen counter. He knew Michael was sitting in the living area, watching tv. Daniel just wanted to prove to the world that you were his and his only.

“Daniel! Michael’s awake!”, you whispered into Daniel’s ear.

“Yeah I know, that’s the point”, said Daniel in a fiery tone and he resumed kissing your neck.

One Shot: Good News- Daniel Ricciardo

You’re in Perth with Daniel and in family enjoying Daniel’s winter break; a welcome surprise awaits.

Warning- mention of fainting and pregnancy.

It was a Sunday afternoon in sunny Perth, Australia. The house party that Daniel and his family threw was absolutely amazing. There was palpable positive energy in the air and everyone was buzzing. You were making your rounds with Daniel as you two met up with all the guests. Many of your guests were seeing you two for the first time since your marriage, 8 months ago. You both had decided to keep thr wedding very low-key and intimate- only immediate family and family friends.

Soon, Daniel went to hang out with the boys, Michael, Blake, Marcus, Scottie and a few of his other school mates. You went over, said hi but soon left because you wanted Daniel to really enjoy with his friends and not worry about whether you were comfortable or not. He rarely got time to spend with his close mates.

You headed over to the area of the house where Grace and Michelle were sitting. Daniel’s nephew, Isaac, came running and sat on Michelle’a lap. You three were laughing over something Isaac said and it was so cute! Little Isaac had really warmed up to you over the past couple of months and you couldn’t be happier. You were now his ‘Aunt y/n’! Uncle Dan and Aunty y/n- sounded so good :) it melted your heart.

Food was laid and Grace got up, leading you and Michelle to the outdoors table. It was about 8 in the evening and the weather was cool. You were walking outside to where all the guests and family were but saw Michael in the kitchen, on the way.

“Hey! you coming outside?”, you asked him.

“Yep, right after ya.”, replied Michael in his thick Aussie accent.

You waited for him to finish his glass of water and you two walked outside. He walked a couple of steps behind you. You were walking down the steps when you suddenly lost balance and missed a step. Thankfully Michael was right there and he caught you by your arm. You heart was in your mouth.

“Careful there y/n! You alright?”, questioned Michael.

“Ye-yes, all good”, you replied while still catching your breath.

“What was that?”, you thought to yourself. You really felt dizzy for a few seconds after that near-fall. But thankfully Michael was right there and he made sure you could walk.

Daniel was playing with his nephew and you thanked god he didn’t see what just happened. Daniel would have unnecessarily freaked out and called the doctor. You knew him. Though you appreciated his concern 100%, you didn’t want to attract and unnecessary attention and cause panic.

Dinner was fun! The food was delicious and Isaac and Daniel are from the same plate haha! One could not separate Isaac from his favourite uncle when he was in town! Drinks were served by Joe after dinner and there was live music to which everyone danced! It was a jolly good evening and everyone was in spirits.

There were a few ingredients missing for the dessert that Michelle was making so Daniel and Joe said that they would head down the local market to get the stuff. We had also ran out of beer so two went to buy everything. Daniel insisted that Joe didn’t have to go but Joe wasn’t going to back down. Having a busy schedule due to F1, he didn’t get to see his son as often as he would like. So the two of them were on their way.

You, along with Blake and Michael helped Grace take the dishes inside. That’s when it happened again. You felt dizzy but this time there was no one to hold you up. Thankfully you leaned against a wall on time. The plate in your hand fell and the glass shattered. Blake, Michael and Grace turned around and ran towards you. Grace gave you water to drink and Michael and Blake carried you to the nearest sofa. You laid down for a second and then you were fine.

You missed Dan. You needed him. You wished he came back soon. You just wanted to hug him and cuddle with him. You wanted to cry. What was happening?

Suddenly you felt the urge to throw up so you rushed toward the restroom. Grace patted your back and continuously told you that everything was going to be okay. She was such an angel. Dan was lucky to have a mother like her. Soon Michael came to check on you.

Michael and you shared a brother-sister type relationship. You knew him since before you even knew Daniel. For the past 3 months you had been training with Michael as well because you realised that it was time to get fit and conscious about your health. Michael knew your diet in and out so he was certain that nothing in your diet could have caused you to throw up.

“Has this happened before?”, asked Michael.

“Nope. Thank god.”, you replied.

“I know it couldn’t have been anything you ate because I keep a check on everything Daniel, Blake and you eat.”, said Michael.

“Have you and Daniel started trying for a baby?”, questioned Michael.

You were taken aback by that question. It was a very personal question and it came out of no where!

“WHAT!”, you almost squealed with surprise. “No! and why’re you asking me such questions Mike?!, you exclaimed.

“I’m sorry. That was a really personal question.” Michael realised what he has just said. “I only asked because dizziness is one of the signs of a woman being pregnant. Plus I saw the look on your face when Dan made you sip on his wine. You couldn’t keep the wine down, could you?, he asked.

“No.”, you replied.

“As a coach, I understand these things that’s why I had to ask. Really apologetic if I crossed any boundaries y/n”, said Michael.

“Don’t worry, it’s just you.” you said while patting his arm.

You and Daniel have always wanted kids but you hadn’t started trying just yet. After what Michael said you couldn’t help but think if you were actually pregnant. You wanted to take a test.

You quietly asked Michelle if she had a pregnancy test and she squealed with excitement at the through that you might be pregnant. You told her you weren’t sure and you just wanted to take a test. She had a test kit and gave it to you.

You took the test.

Positive.

You were pregnant.

You went outside not sure how to feel. Excited? Nervous? You didn’t know. You didn’t know how Dan would react but what you did know was that he was going to be the best father ever.

You didn’t want to tell anyone the happy news before you had told Dan. Michelle knew, because she stood right outside the restroom, too excited to know the outcome. She knew what this was going to mean to Dan and you didn’t even need to tell her not to tell anyone else before you told Dan.

Dan and Joe were walking back into the house after their trip to the supermarket. You beamed at Daniel and he gave you a kiss on the forehead before placing all the packets on the table. The party continued as is. Daniel took your hand to lead you outside to join everyone but you took his other hand and asked him to come to the bedroom with you.

“Someone’s already excited? I thought we were going to wait for the night but we’ll I guess now is okay too!!” said Daniel in a cheeky and excited tone.

You rolled your eyes and said, “Shut up you! It’s important.”

Daniel picked you up in his arms in a bridal lift and took you into your bedroom.

“What’s up babe?”, questioned Daniel.

You stepped closer to him. So close that he placed his forehead on yours. You brought his right palm up to your stomach and placed it there. You closed your eyes. His hand on your stomach felt so good. So natural.

“What? What’re you doing?”, said Daniel.

You looked up at him and into his eyes. Nothing needed to be said .

He looked at you with puppy eyes and soon his eyes were teary.

“Are you serious?! We’re pregnant!!, screamed Daniel and you nodded.

He kissed you romantically and lifted you up and twirled you in the air. “Oh my god I can’t believe this! I’m going to be a father!

You hugged him and cried. You were so happy. This is all one could ask for.

Daniel bent down and kissed your stomach and this mental image will be in your memory forever.

“Now the test was positive but I still feel we should go to the doctor to get it confirmed before we tell everyone.” you said.

“Right on it.” said Daniel as he instantly called the doctor to make an appointment.

You two kissed for a while with his hands on your waist.

“When do you think this happened Dan?”, you asked l, breaking the comfortable silence you both were sharing.

“After my Monza win.”, Daniel said.

“WHAT?! How can you say that with so much confidence? How do you know for sure?”, you asked with utmost surprise.

“We didn’t use protection that night babe. It really was the best sex ever.”, he replied while giggling.

“What am I going to do about you Mr Ricciardo?” you said jokingly as you casually punched his arm.

“Daniel lifted you up in the same way he got you into the room and led you outside towards the party. There was a certain glow on his face and you could see how much this meant to him. You were so grateful. You couldn’t wait for what the next few months were going to bring but all you knew that with Daniel by your side, it was going to be a journey you would never forget.

One Shot: Daniel at Max’s wedding

Some back story: you and Daniel have been dating for 5 years now. Max is getting married and Daniel is one of his groomsmen. The wedding takes place in Monaco.

You stand up as Max’s bride begins to walk down the aisle. It was such an emotional moment. Max, who you’ve know for years, is finally getting married. He looks so happy and you couldn’t be more proud of him. You have always treated Max as your brother and the bond he shared with Dan was precious. They have been through most of the highs and lows of their F1 careers together and as fierce as their rivalry was on track, their friendship was something unique off-track.

Being Max’s groomsman, Daniel stood behind the best man. The best man was understandably Max’s brother. Max and his bride were exchanging their vows and made each other wear their rings. You couldn’t help but look at Daniel throughout the entire ceremony. He looked just perfect in that tux with his sexy curly hair over his forehead. He was emotional, you could tell. You and him had your eyes locked on each other and he mouthed “I can’t wait to marry you” just as the priest announced that Max and his bride were officially married.

Tears ran down your cheeks and you looked up at Daniel and mouthed “I can’t wait to marry you too”, to Daniel. He blushed and looked down to avoid the tears. You really couldn’t wait to marry that guy.

Max and his wife went through with their first dance and soon people joined them on the dance floor. Daniel came from behind and kissed your shoulder. You closed your eyes and took in the moment. You didn’t realise how much you missed his touch. “Will you do me the honour to join me in this dance?” asked Daniel in a very gentlemanly way and didn’t hide his smirk while asking you. “It’ll be my pleasure”, you said as you extended your hand to hold Daniel’s hand.

The two of you danced all night as a couple. You also danced with Max and the rest of the group. It truly was a magical night and one you would remember for years to come.

Just before leaving, you and Daniel hug Max and congratulate him. Daniel and Max hugged and Daniel patted his back. “I’m so happy for you brotha”, said Daniel in his Australia accent. Max hugged him back and said “So glad you and y/n could make it to my special day!”. “Of course I was gonna come, I’m one of the groomsmen after all!” said Daniel and the both of them crack up into a fit of laughter.

Max approached you and kissed your left cheek and said “Can’t wait to be a part of your’s and Daniel’s wedding now!”. “Soon”, you said and you couldn’t hide the fact you were blushing!

Chapter 2: Sweet Beginnings

Chapter 1

Warnings: no warnings, only fluff.

As the 4 of ya’ll landed in Perth, you were pleasantly greeted by a few of Daniel’s mates. You headed to Daniel’s farm in 2 cars. The farm was quite far away from the airport- a 2 hour car journey. All the 4 of y’all- Dan, Michael, Blake and yourself were drained and jet-lagged- desperate for good sleep. Michael, Daniel, one of Dan’s school friend and you headed in one car while Blake and another one of Dan’s friends headed out in the second car. Michael, Daniel and you sat on the back seat. Michael’s head rested on the window while you rested your head on Daniel’s shoulder. He eventually placed his head on yours too. In no time, your eyelids felt heavy and you drifted off to sleep in the car.

After almost forever the car came to a halt because you guys had finally reached Dan’s home. Home sweet home at last. Grace, Joe, Michelle, Dan’s brother-in-law and little Isaac were all there to welcome y’all in. As you headed inwards, the first thing Daniel did was kneel down and hug his nephew. You saw how tightly Dan hugged him and little Isaac reciprocated the hug with the same enthusiasm. “Uncle Danny!! i missed you sooo much!”, squeal Isaac. “Me too little fella, me too”, said Daniel emotionally as he lifted Isaac into his arms and hugged him some more. Daniel placed a kiss on Isaac’s forehead before placing him on the floor again. “It’s so good to finally meet you!” said Joe and Grace as they welcome you into their home. Everyone hugged everyone but Daniel was visibly emotional of all and he looked relieved to be back. We had decided to spend some time at Daniel’s parents’ place before heading to Daniel’s house.

The three boys immediately got comfortable in the house- Michael and Blake had been coming to Grace’ and Joe’ since their childhood. The two went to freshen up one at a time and you looked around the house. You saw all the photos that were there and spoke at great length with Joe. He was such a proud father. Daniel was so lucky to have a father like him. You knew Dan would be a great dad too. The thought of Daniel as a father gave you butterflies and you couldn’t help but blush. It was great to get to know Daniel’s parents. They were just like he had described them- maybe even sweeter and understanding :) Grace was so welcoming and asked you how you put up with Daniel sometimes and the both of ya’ll crack into a terrible laughter! The whole house suddenly felt so cheerful. Suddenly you realised you hadn’t seen Daniel around much so you go looking for him.

Walking down a long and elegant corridor you try to peek into a few rooms to check if Daniel was there. You finally found him in Isaac’s playroom. You should have guessed :) There he was playing with cars and simply admiring the innocence of his nephew. You stood at the entrance of the door just admiring the view. You didn’t want to disturb them. You stood there with your weight against the door, smiling away to glory. You might have teared up a little as well. You were brought to the current time when Isaac called you to play with him and Dan. Daniel looked up to see you and you two made eye contact. He smiled and raised a hand to guide you to sit next to him. He placed his arm around your waist as you gently sit down. Daniel rubbed the side of your arm and looked at you as you were looking at Isaac. When you saw Daniel looking at you, you asked him what had happened he simply smiled and shook his head. Was he blushing? You think he was. The both of ya’ll sit with Isaac for about an hour as he played with his toys and occasionally asked you for help or any sort of involvement. You didn’t complain because this moment right here, sitting with Daniel and his nephew felt so intimate and homely- it felt just right.

Later on that day, after everyone had freshened up, you all gathered in an outdoors seating area to eat. Dan sat next to you and Michelle sat on the other side of you. Grace sat in front of you. The vibe was absolutely amazing. It was sunny but still cool. The food was amazing. The company was outstanding and you couldn’t be more grateful to be here with everyone. You couldn’t be more grateful to be here with Daniel. You glance at Daniel who was biting into his avocado toast. He looked at you and placed his hand on your thigh. You placed a hand on his hand and soon your fingers intertwine. You whispered to him how grateful you were for this moment, to be here with everyone, and he smiled at you and kissed your forehead. Michelle saw your hands intertwined because she soon said “awww!” and winked at you and Daniel and you simply roll you eyes and laugh!

It seemed like you knew all these for years. You and Dan had been together for 4 years now and the countless FaceTime sessions with his family meant that you had gotten to know everyone quite a bit.

Isaac had left the table to go and play in the field for a while. He came back after a while complaining that he was very hungry. He walked over to your side of the table and asked if he could sit with you and ‘uncle Danny’. Both of you gushed and let him in between the both of you. He sat on your lap and rested his head on your shoulder. You couldn’t help but feel special! You looked towards Daniel who couldn’t stop staring at the both of you. Grace, who was sitting in front of you, got teary-eyed and left the table and she promised to be back in a while. You fed Isaac some bread and he happily ate. He was definitely tired after playing so much as he soon started to drift off in your arms. Before he could completely fall asleep, Michelle took him. It was just Daniel and you on the table now. Rest of the boys were in the kitchen helping out with the dishes. You and Daniel soon joined them inside.

“You two make a great couple and I couldn’t be more happier.”, Grace told Daniel. Daniel smiled and gave his mum and tight hug. He hugged Joe and said that we’ll be coming the next to day visit again. You thanked them for the lovely food and for a great time. You hugged them both. Just before leaving, Isaac came running and hugged Daniel. Daniel lifted him up and kissed him on the cheek. He promised to take him the adventure park soon. You couldn’t help but let you thoughts drift to think about when you and Daniel would have children. You knew he’d be a great dad and you also knew he couldn’t wait to become one.

After the goodbyes Daniel, Michael, Blake and you sit in the car. You were going to drop the two boys at their respective homes before heading to you me home. You smiled as you imagined all the incredible things that were going to happen that night. Daniel finally back home, finally in Perth, you felt like this was the best version of Dan you were about to see :)
