I know I haven't posted since the EPIC season 3 finale and I'm sorry about that! I am back and I just have to say that this scene right here had me tearing up bad. I've been waiting for Varchie to get back together and after the hell they've been through, they still love each other and thats touching, damn it. I love Varchie and am so happy! I really liked seeing Cheryl and Toni lead the gangs together, especially meaningful given the tension in 3.13/3.14. I really liked your take that it wasn't so much Toni not wanting to share leadership but she didn't like how Cheryl wanted to use PP. Though most convos, if any, on this topic was off screen, there was a small beat I noticed in 3.22. As Choni held hands after Cheryl declared they have to save core 4, she looks at Toni and seeks confirmation of the plan to which Toni nods. :-)
I liked the subtle way they brought closure to most of the gang related drama this season in the finale, with the Serpents and Poisons working together, Toni and Cheryl working together to lead them and Choni coming to save the others (Jughead). Though like I said in my tags for that scene, I really wish they had at least included a shot of Jughead acknowledging them coming to save them with both gangs. Like just a nod or meaningful look, something! They could’ve had them with him while he watched the Poisons and Serpents cleaning up Pop’s at the end, too.
As for Choni specifically, I liked that Toni was the one to take charge at Thistlehouse, yelling at everyone that they were leaving, but that Cheryl took the reigns when it came to battle, because that was her area of expertise. I really have no idea where Cheryl stands with the Poisons at this point, if she’s even still part of them, since it didn’t seem like it in 3x15 or 3x16 (though there were extenuating circumstances, obviously), let alone in any kind of leadership role. Hopefully that gets cleared up next season, if they’re even still a thing and not already merged with the Serpents by the time we come back (since I feel like that’s the obvious eventual outcome).

I have no words. I'm wordless and fucking in shock over the Riverdale season 3 finale that I just watched and finished tonight. There is no way in hell I will ever be able to wait 6 months for season 4 like wtf....I'm actually going to die of impatience. This episode 3x22 was the best damn episode of the season and I rate it so high that it's not even funny! It had everything in it. CHONI VARCHIE AND BUGHEAD YALL. Then the toast was making me feel all good in the end until the surprise twist came later senior year so I'm done with life. The BEST cast ever and the BEST show ever.
