"my pleasure," she replies, smiling as she takes her leave.

naomi walks down the hallway, staring down at the tiles on her way out. she thanks yvonne at reception before stepping out of akso hospital.

she can't help but think about her interaction with doctor zayne.

was that..weird? was i awkward? did i seem pretentious? were the macarons too much? not enough? i'm getting in over my head...

she shakes her head.

calm down..! he's not even giving it a second thought, naomi. he's a very busy doctor...

a very busy doctor whom she couldn't seem to keep out of her head.

three soft knocks fall on zayne's office door. a girl, with soft black hair, adorned with a necklace, sparkly silver earrings, and long, dark lashes stands patiently; awaiting for the door to open.

Zayne glanced at the door with a curious expression. He wasn't expecting anyone at this time, and yet here they were. He approached and answered the door glancing down at the woman before him.

"Did you have an appointment with me?" He asked. It was unlikely he forgot someone was on the schedule, but perhaps there was a system error or something else that explained this.
