I've been noticing a lot of writers set Bucky up as if he is Russian. For example, speaking Russian and making Russian food.

Is this something that happens in the comics? I mean the man was tortured and abused for decades by a Russian terrorist group, do we really think he would want to implement that into his everyday new life of freedom?

I'm a sucker for accents etc just like anyone but idk it just makes me uncomfortable in this case.
