Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Transitions in Time
The rest of the day for the adults is relatively mundane. Robin and Scarlett head into their office jobs and Sabrina heads into the restaurant. While there, they get an unexpected call.
Sabrina: Hey, Laks! Didn't expect a call from you!
Lakshmi: Hey, Sabrina! Hope I'm not intruding too much. Just wanted to give you a quick call. Are you busy?
Sabrina: Restaurant just opened so no customers yet. I've got some time. How are you and Tabs doing?
Lakshmi: Great, actually! We adopted a cat and things are pretty chill.
Sabrina: Awesome! Yeah, Ziggy's aged up to an adult dog now. Crazy how that little puppy grew so big so quickly.
Lakshmi: I feel like you just sent me those puppy pictures! Goodness, time's really flying. Speaking of which, how's everyone else? You, Juno, Beau?
Sabrina: We're all doing good. Juno's off on his first official day of school with the twins. Sure he's making a bunch of friends.
Lakshmi: That's so amazing! Hard to believe he's gotten so big too. Man... we're far removed from our college days, huh?
Sabrina: Tell me about it. Nyla with her family, me with mine, and you and Tabs!
Lakshmi: Yeah, so much has changed. And Tabatha and I have been thinking, y'know, since we've got this new cat, and our place is small. We've decided to purchase a house.
Sabrina: Oh, wow! That's a huge step, Laks! Congrats!
Lakshmi: Thanks! There's an old mill down in Port Promise that's been gutted and repurposed. Looks really nice. We've been busy getting things set up.
Sabrina: Sweet! Can't wait to see the space. You know, my mom and I found a spot in Grims Quarry that we love. Such a shame, feels like we booted you guys out of that place.
Lakshmi: We saw it on the market too. Lovely spot, but we wanted a little more space.
Sabrina: More space than that?
Lakshmi: Well, we've been living in such a tiny apartment for so long, and with the cat and all... we wanted a place with more breathing room.
Sabrina: I see... well, just let me know when the housewarming is and you know we'll be there!
Lakshmi: Definitely! It may not be for a week or so more. Hopefully, it won't conflict with your mom's move. Oh, and do be sure to invite Alton and his girlfriend too! That man changes phone numbers like underwear. I can never keep up.
Sabrina chuckles.
Sabrina: Can do. Anyone else to add to this growing list of invites?
Lakshmi: Well of course the whole family over at yours is welcome. Marquise too, if he has the time.
Sabrina: Okay, noted. Oh, speaking of Marquise, Beau and I are finally gonna have that dinner with him and Juno over at his place. It's just been so busy with the wedding, all the birthdays, mom's big move, getting Ziggy... we just couldn't figure out a schedule that worked for everyone. We better snag this one before we lose it.
Lakshmi: Oh, finally? Man, he's been talking about wanting to invite you and Beau over for ages.
Sabrina: It's this big mysterious chat he's been hinting at since around Sigrid's Bridal Shower... between you and me, I think he's finally got someone special.
Lakshmi: You think?
Sabrina: Well he hasn't asked for too much advice on the apps lately, and Juno has mentioned how giddy his dad seems to be these days... There's gotta be someone. It's cool, I'll act surprised no matter what. Don't want to let on and ruin his surprise.
Lakshmi: It's nice that you guys have such a healthy relationship. No jealousy and sour feelings. It's definitely rare. You know my past.
Sabrina: That I do. But look at where it brought you: about to move into a fancy house with plenty of breathing room with the love of your life and cat! Sounds like a dream scenario to me!
Lakshmi: That's something I'd have to agree with you on! Thanks for always being there, Bina. You'll let me know how the dinner goes, yeah?
Sabrina: Of course! And you tell me how the move goes! If you need any help just say so!
Lakshmi: I think we've got it. Not too much to move from this tiny place.
Sabrina: Alright. Well, it sounds like service is picking up out there. Better get to it. Talk soon?
Lakshmi: Of course. Bye.
Sabrina: Bye-bye.
Sabrina hangs up and returns back to the task of running a restaurant with a little extra pep in their step. Getting time to chat with their friends, a novelty that gets increasingly harder to do as everyone's lives get busier and busier, is always refreshing. The rest of the workday goes on without a hitch, but it's still quite late by the time Sabrina makes it home. So late that they miss Juno's bedtime.
Sabrina: Hey, Mom. Sorry for being so late tonight. Things got pretty busy at the restaurant today.
Scarlett: No worries, sweetheart. You hungry? I'm meal-prepping for the week.
Sabrina: Starving. The irony of being a chef in your own restaurant is you can't find time to always eat.
Scarlett: Well don't worry about having to scarf down a ham sandwich tonight. I'll be done with this shortly. You get settled in some, okay?
Sabrina: Alright. Thanks.
The free moment allows Sabrina to peek in on Juno, who's already fast asleep for the night. They're a little bummed that they didn't get to chat with him about how his first day went but Juno will defiantly let them know another time. Sabrina admires the peaceful expression on their kid's face. Soon enough, it'll just be them together. Scarlett will retire away from the legacy home and they'll be a family on their own. Sure, Robin, Sigrid, and the twins will still be here, but it will still be odd to not live under the same roof as Scarlett. Sabrina only ever experienced it during their uni days, and Juno's never experienced it unless you count weekends at his dad's. Sabrina's nervous, but they've prepared themselves for it. They also reflect on how special it's been to have their mother all this time. Their own mother lost her mom as a child, and Kira passed when Sabrina and Robin were only toddlers. Of all the adults in the house, Sabrina is especially lucky.
Sabrina realizes how long they've probably been standing here staring... yeah, kinda creepy. They clean it up by tucking Juno in tight before returning to the kitchen. By that time, Scarlett's done with their dish.
Scarlett: That you? Fish is ready. I'm just preparing some salad. Come take a seat.
While Sabrina digs into their plate, Scarlett and they get a chance to chat.
Scarlett: Juno seemed like he had a good first day.
Sabrina: Did he? I was a little worried.
Scarlett: He seemed to be in good spirits. Audrey was already talking about a project that’s coming up in a few weeks, and Alma was busy being Alma. Juno just sat in between the chaos.
Sabrina: Yeah… Sometimes I worry that he struggles to express himself between two big personalities. He could just be quiet, but… I don’t know.
Scarlett: Things have changed from his toddler days, huh? He was always the one making friends. Alma was the quiet one.
Sabrina: It’s like they sort of flipped. Don’t get me wrong, Alma still definitely enjoys her alone time, but her personality really shines now more than it did in the last.
Scarlett: Part of it is being a sibling of Audrey. Alma's got that competitive spirit… she wants to do well, but Audrey always by her side makes it harder to stand out. Meanwhile, Audrey's oblivious to most of the competition and Juno is just trying to make it through the day.
Sabrina: Three kids under one roof… don’t know how we're gonna manage.
Scarlett: You know your uncle and I had to deal with the same thing.
Sabrina: Well, Anya was so self-efficient since she was older, and Robin and I were pretty chill.
Scarlett: Are you kidding? You each had your own quirks that gave us a run for our money.
Sabrina: Aww come on, we weren’t that bad!
Scarlett: Oh don’t worry, we all go through it. Now’s your turn.
Sabrina: Did you wish this on me?
Scarlett: Never. But life repeats itself…
Scarlett chuckles, which makes Sabrina laugh.
Sabrina: Well, I guess you’re happy to be running off before the teen years.
Scarlett: Teen years are often the hardest, but not always. It was for me, my sister, and Anya… even you to some degree. I’m looking forward to the peace that comes with moving.
Sabrina: You know the kids will always want to be coming over.
Scarlett: I’ll be ready and excited for them to come. And then ready and excited to send them home.
Sabrina and Scarlett laugh again.
Sabrina: Thanks for the love, Mom.
Scarlett: To be fair, my teen years were hard too. Dealing with the loss of my own mother, my sister's pregnancy, and helping her care for Anya... it was hard, and I coped in not-so-great ways myself. Things will change as time progresses, but the good thing is you have such a big support system. Marquise, Beau, your friends, and me of course. That's not something your uncle and I had. My only sister was gone, and neither of us had especially close friends or parents to support us. So lean into your village, and we'll do what we can.
Sabrina: ...Okay. Thanks, Mom.
Scarlett: Don't mention it.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - First Day of School!
The day has finally come! After an eventful summer filled with birthdays and new experiences, Juno, Alma, and Audrey are ready for their first day of elementary school!
The adults are prepping for the day like any other day, minus a few special treats, but Alma takes this momentous day very seriously. She's the first kid up, dressed, and ready to go. She makes sure to head straight downstairs, wanting to check her bookbag and make sure she gets a hearty breakfast for such a big day ahead.
Robin: Well, well, well, look who's already all ready for school! Putting even your old man to shame.
Alma: Well this is just a normal day for you. This is a big day for me! Stepping into the world for the first time is no small thing!
Robin: "Stepping into the world", huh?
Alma: Of course! Elementary school is the first time a sim enters such a large social circle. This is my opportunity to establish myself and create the building blocks for the rest of my life!
Robin: Hmm, well when you put it like that... guess I better get myself in gear. Can't send my girls off into the world looking like I just rolled out of bed!
Scarlett: And can't send them off with empty stomachs, either! Audrey, go get your sister and cousin so you can have breakfast!
Scarlett has made a special breakfast for such a special day.
Alma: Bacon on cupcakes for breakfast? Man, this is awesome!
Scarlett: Well I had to send you off the best way I knew how! It's an important day!
Juno: Thanks, Grandma! These are the best!
Audrey: Yeah, thanks, Auntie Scarlett!
Scarlett: You're very welcome.
Audrey: This day is going to be amazing!
Alma: Amazing? It's just school. The shininess will wear off by the end of the week.
Audrey: Aww come on, Alms! You're not excited at all?
Alma: I'm excited to meet the other kids and go to recess. I heard the rabbithole pop-ups can be eventful from time to time too. But we've got other fish to fry. Scouts will be starting soon!
Audrey: Yeah, I'm pretty excited for it, too. Just imagine, all three of us working on badges together and helping each other with school projects. Man, this is gonna be awesome.
Juno doesn't say much; he's just enjoying the moment and mulling over the decision he has yet to announce to the twins. For now, he just wants to make it through the first day of school.
After breakfast, getting dressed, and making sure everyone's bags are packed, the family steps outside to take some obligatory photos to commemorate the day.
Sigrid: Alright, you three! Say "sh-shooby"!
The kids: Sh-shoobyyyy!!!
After Sigrid makes sure no one's eyes are closed in the photo, the adults give their final hugs and kisses for the day.
Robin: You have a great day today, sweetpea.
Alma: Thanks, Dad.
Sigrid: Knock 'em dead, Junebug!
Juno: You got it!
Sigrid: Have a good day, Auds. You're gonna do great.
Audrey: Don't worry, I got this.
Sigrid: I know you do.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Growing and Learning
Robin finds Alma situated underneath a tree, looking over her homework. She's drifted off a little further than allowed, but seeing her confidently look over her brings a smile to Robin's face that erases any other lecture he might've given her.
Robin: Well well, look what we've got here!
Alma: Just finishing up some problems. No big deal.
Robin: Have you finished all your work?
Alma: Just about!
Robin: Wow! That's awesome, sweetie! You didn't even need any help!
Alma: Help with this stuff? Pah, please. A baby could do this in their sleep.
Audrey: Now that you're finished, we can enjoy the rest of the day together!
Robin: Speaking of which, Auntie Scarlett sent me a message to find her at the other end of the park. Said there's something there to check out.
When the trio arrives, they see a public treehouse with Aunt Scarlett sitting at one of the empty picnic tables. The girls' eyes light up; this treehouse has many more upgrades than theirs, and it's amazing to see.
Audrey: Whoa, Dad, look at this! It's got a whole slide and everything!
Alma: This is so cool! Can we go in?
Robin: Sure. Knock yourselves out.
Audrey ends up climbing up the slide while Alma takes the conventional way up. The moment she gets to the top, she spots another addition to the treehouse and bolts straight there.
Alma: Whoa! It's even got a bell!
Robin: Audrey, be careful!
Alma rings the bell enthusiastically, much to every living creature within 30 feet's torture.
Robin: Alma, that's enough!
Alma: What?!
Robin: I said that's enough!
Alma: This is so cool! Can we get a bell for our treehouse?
Robin: I think your mother would kill me.
Audrey: Can we at least get a slide?
Robin: Let's discuss that later.
Robin lets the girls have a little playtime in the treehouse while he chats with Scarlett, and then the four of them sit down for a meal before packing their things and heading home.
When they get back, Alma makes it a point to show off her work and have her mother "assist" with the last bits of the work. Sigrid is impressed at her aptitude, especially considering Audrey's concerns the day before.
Sigrid makes sure to give her little girl a big hug afterward.
Sigrid: I'm very impressed with you, Alma! You managed all that work very well.
Alma: It's easy, Mom! This school thing is gonna be a piece of cake. Just watch.
Sigrid: Well I hope that's the case for you and your sister. You know Dad and I are always here if you ever need help with anything though, okay?
Alma: Okay.
Sigrid: Well, make sure to get plenty of rest tonight. No chit-chatting with your sister late into the night, you hear me?
Alma: Yes, ma'am.
And that night, everyone makes sure to get a full night's rest to be ready for the big day.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Sunday Funday
It's officially Sunday morning and the first day of fall, even though it doesn't feel like it quite yet. But with that, it means it's also the last day before the twins and Juno start school! Juno's enjoying the weekend with his father still, and Sabrina is over at Beau's place, but the rest of the family plans to spend the day together. But first, another bath for a stinky, smelly Ziggy, much to Sigrid's irritation.
Once Ziggy is clean, the family decide to make a visit to Willow Creek Park. Sigrid focuses on wearing Ziggy out with a long walk, Scarlett finds a quiet bench to knit, and Audrey tries her hand at bicycle riding again. This time, her dad is here to give encouragement and advice, but it doesn't decrease her frustrations.
Robin: Alright, Auds, just take it slow and steady, okay?
Audrey: Ugh, why is this so hard?!
Robin: Don't lose your patience. Any skill takes time to build. You've been putting in the work, you'll get it eventually.
Audrey: But I have to learn before Juno gets back!
Robin: No you don't. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. You'll learn on your own timeline. For now, we keep trying. Okay?
Audrey: Ugh... okay.
Robin: Alright. Now make sure to find the proper balance. Let's give it another go.
Where's Alma, you ask? She got permission from her dad to wander off a little farther.
Robin: Not too far, okay missy?
Alma: Yes, sir!
She wanders to the back of the main building, finding a very interesting sight.
Alma: Hmm, what's this? A well?
Alma: Well, only right I make a wish! Hmm...
Alma gives a good thought to what she wants before finally making her decision.
Alma: Okay, magic wishing well. I wish for better grades. That way I can prove to my parents and Audrey that I'm just as smart as her, if not more! Oh, and here's a coin for payment. Sound good? Now do your magic... stuff.
She watches the coin slip down into the well and waits. The coin makes contact, and Alma swears she can hear a bubbling sound coming from the well. She peers in further.
Suddenly, a bright light appears from the well.
Alma: Huh? Is it really working?
She watches in excitement as the light expands and brightens.
Suddenly, there's a bright explosion before everything dissipates again. Alma is left standing there, not exactly sure what just happened but feeling a little luckier.
Alma: Well... guess that's that. Wonder how I know if it worked...
Meanwhile, Robin and Audrey continue working on her biking skill, and when Sigrid isn't looking Ziggy finds a conveniently created puddle to undo all of Sigrid's hard work earlier in the day. It's so shocking that even Mrs. Crumblebottom clutches her pearls.
Sigrid: ZIGGY!!!!
The yell makes Ziggy stop and look over at her.
Sigrid: Bad boy! No playing in puddles! I can't keep constantly bathing you because you refuse to listen! You're going to make me lose my mind!
Sigrid is just venting at this point, but Ziggy seems to get it nonetheless. He learns that maybe his puddle-playing days are over. With that, he gives the saddest little pout and whine to Sigrid, trying to express his remorse. Sigrid sighs. Even though she's frustrated beyond a shadow of a doubt, she can only be but so mad at that face. Curse Ziggy's cute little puppy-dog eyes.
Sigrid: Alright buddy. If you've learned your lesson, I can forgive you. Sound fair?
Ziggy's ears perk back up, and he moves closer for reassurance. Sigrid obliges, kneeling down to give him a scratch.
Sigrid: Okay. Ew, you're still wet...
Sigrid sighs and considers what to do next. She supposes she could just deal with it for the rest of the day, but returning home exhausted and then having to wash Ziggy up before bed does not sound ideal. Not to mention she has to check the girls' work, get them all set for school tomorrow, see about signing them up for scouts...
Sigrid: Well Ziggy, seems like you've spoiled your day out. We're going straight home after a chat with Papa.
Robin: That's it, Auds! Feel the breeze in your hair and the sun on your face and forget that you're even riding in the first place! That's what makes riding fun!
Robin finally notices Sigrid walking up behind him.
Robin: Oh, hi honey. Wha- oh boy.
Sigrid: Tell me about it.
It's Robin's turn to sigh this time.
Robin: Naughty little thing, hmm?
Sigrid: I just washed him this morning too. I swear, it feels like all I ever do is chase this dog around. "Don't do this, don't eat that, don't play with this." I'm losing my mind.
Robin: The growing pains of raising a dog. It won't always be like this.
Sigrid: I know. Just reminding me to recall the hard parts of infancy and toddlerhood for the girls, too. Erases any baby fever creeping up on me instantly.
Robin: Okay, I get the picture. Well, at any rate, I'm sure you gave him a stern talking-to.
Sigrid: I think he's learned his lesson this time. At any rate, I'm gonna take him home.
Robin: Really?
Sigrid: Yeah, just better that I take care of this now rather than later. You've got the girls?
Robin: Of course. Auds and I are still busy with our lesson, and Alma is close by. I saw her walk off behind the main building.
Sigrid: Alright. Well, see you all at home.
Robin: See you at home, honey.
Robin makes sure to give her a kiss before she and Ziggy are off.
Audrey ends up getting off the bike shortly after.
Audrey: Okay, I think I'm done for the day.
Robin: Great work, babygirl! You're really starting to get the hang of things.
Audrey: I don't feel like it. Riding a bike is a lot harder than I thought.
Robin: It may be hard now, but one day you'll be riding circles all around me without even thinking about it. And when that day comes, you won't even remember how hard it feels now. You'll just be happy with your newfound freedom. Just imagine it! You'll be able to ride all over the neighborhood after school, and you'll probably end up being the first of your three kids to learn, so you can help the others too! I'm sure Juno would love to hear some pointers from you in exchange for using his bike.
Audrey kicks at the dirt and sighs dramatically.
Audrey: I guess...
Robin: Don't give up, Auds. I'm here to help you through it all. You'll get it eventually, and we'll make sure to celebrate big when that day comes. Okay?
Audrey perks up a little.
Audrey: Okay.
Robin: Good. Now, let's go find your sister.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Saturday Night Studies
While the adults are out on their date, Alma and Audrey are having a different kind of Saturday night.
Audrey is hard at work on her presentation for the first day of school. It's a simple book report just to introduce the kids to each other and get to know everyone, but Audrey takes it very seriously. She even asks Auntie Scarlett to use her desk in order to fully concentrate.
Of course, that doesn't stop her sister from making an entrance.
Alma: Hey, Auds! What are you doing in here?
Audrey: Just finishing up my homework. That way I can enjoy Sunday stress-free! It's the last day before school starts, after all!
Alma: Ah, school schmool. It's just a rabbithole. How hard could it be?
Audrey: Well I still want to be prepared. How far have you gotten with your work?
Alma: It's coming along.
Audrey: Is it? You know Mom's gonna check it tomorrow.
Alma: I'll get it done! You doubt me?
Audrey: I doubt you'll concentrate long enough to finish it.
Alma: Dang! You could've at least lied a little!
The two laugh.
Audrey: Just don't put it off. You know Mom won't be happy if you do.
Alma: Sis, you really overreact! This homework is a piece of cake! I can get it done in my sleep.
Audrey: So you say.
Alma: I mean it! I'll go get some done right now!
Audrey: Well, go find somewhere else to work so I don't have to hear the cogs in your head turning.
Alma: Ha ha.
Audrey: Good luck!
Alma does indeed find a quiet spot to try her hand at the work.
Alma: Okay, let's see what's this all about. Eight of Grim's pets aren’t cowplants, five aren’t crows, and seven aren’t axolotls. How many pets does he have? Hmm...
The moments tick by. More. And more. The words seem to all mush themselves on the page. Alma does really try to work through it.
Alma: Maybe if... no. Oh, what if.... no.
The longer she sits there staring at it, the harder it seems to be to understand.
Alma: I need a break.
And there's a perfect companion to enjoy a break with.
Alma: Okay, buddy. Let's try to teach you some skills, yeah? Now, sit.
Ziggy, surprisingly, responds to the command on the first try.
Alma: Wha- that worked?! Alright, Ziggy! You might just be the smartest dog on the planet! Now let's see if you can do it again, yeah?
After some time, Audrey successfully finishes her own work. She feels really confident about herself and looking forward to enjoying the rest of her weekend the way she wants to. Of course, she can only imagine what her sister's progress looks like. Still, she has to know for herself.
Audrey: This doesn't look like doing your homework.
Alma: I'm taking a break. Ziggy's doing some learning right now. Show her boy! Sit!
Again, Ziggy does manage to obey the command.
Alma: See? He's a genius! Just wait until I can get him jumping through hoops! Maybe we can start a circus!
Audrey: There's no circus DLCs. Did you read too much about the Sims 1?
Alma: Aww, come on, Auds! Have a little imagination!
Audrey: I do! It's what helped me finish my book report!
Alma: Ugh, did you come down here just to annoy me?
Audrey: Alma, if you need help I can give you a hand. It's no problem.
Alma: I don't need help! I'm just... taking a break. I'll get it done.
Audrey: If Mom finds out--
Alma: Mom won't find out unless you tell her. You gonna be a tattletale?
Audrey sighs. For as much bickering as they do, it's obvious that Audrey cares for her sister deeply. She doesn't want her to fall behind and she doesn't want her to get in trouble. Alma loves Audrey too, she just expresses that love differently.
Alma: I'm gonna keep working with Ziggy. Come on boy, let's do it again, kay?
Audrey doesn't say anything more. After a while, she hears the front door unlock and soft chatter. Sigrid and Robin are back from their date.
Robin: Man, what a night, huh?
Sigrid: Definitely. Bed is callin' me, for sure.
Robin: Let's go see what the girls are up to first.
Audrey greets them.
Robin: Well, hey there missy! Were you waiting up for us?
Audrey: I heard you coming in.
Sigrid: It's a little past your bedtime, but since it's your last night before an official school night I'll let you bend the rules a bit.
Robin: Good to see you, sweetpea. Missed you.
Sigrid: So how was your evening?
Audrey: I finished my book report.
Sigrid: You did? Wonderful! I'll be sure to check it out tomorrow, okay? I'm sure it's wonderful.
Audrey: I worked really hard on it. I think it turned out well.
Robin: That's awesome, honey. Where's your sister?
Audrey: Um, she's training Ziggy.
Robin: Training?
Audrey: Teaching him how to sit.
Sigrid: Wow! How's that coming?
Audrey: She got him to do it a couple times.
Robin: So awesome to hear. Now you girls can start splitting up the chores for him. Walking him, cleaning up after him, filling his food bowl...
Sigrid: Well that's a chat for another day. For now, it's late, and it's up to bed with you.
Audrey can't hold it in.
Audrey: Mom, Dad... I think Alma's having some trouble with her work.
Robin: Oh?
Audrey: Yeah, and she won't let me help her. She didn't me to tell you, but I don't want her to fall behind, and she keeps saying she's going to finish it, and--
Sigrid: Okay.
Robin and Audrey: Okay?
Sigrid: She has one more day to work on it. We'll discuss it. Don't worry, Auds.
Audrey: Okay... just don't tell her I told you, okay?
Sigrid: Of course, honey. Now, bedtime.
After getting the kids into bed, the two adults retire to their bedroom.
Robin: Ah... well, that was interesting.
Sigrid: Tell me about it.
Robin: Are we really not going to talk to Alma about her homework?
Sigrid: We will. I just want to give her a little more time. If she's not done by the afternoon, we'll step in.
Robin: You sure?
Sigrid: It sounds like she's begun. I want her to have the freedom to get it done on her own timeline until it's obvious she needs the extra support. I don't want her to feel embarrassed. She's so proud. She won't ask for help easily.
Robin: That is very true.
Sigrid: Let's not worry just yet. At any rate, I want to enjoy the rest of our night off as much as possible.
Robin: Right. Speaking of which...
Robin pulls the classic move. Sigrid seems to be into it.
Sigrid: Ah, just what I needed.
Robin: I really did have fun with you today.
Sigrid: Same. You looked good behind that turntable.
Robin: I always forget how much you admire my creative side.
Sigrid: You're the talent between the two of us. I'm sure I sounded like a screaming banshee during karaoke.
Robin: Aww, come on, you weren't that bad.
Sigrid: You're in love with me. I don't trust your judgment.
Robin laughs.
Robin: Shouldn't you trust my judgment more since I'm in love with you?
Sigrid: So you're not lying to me?
Robin opens his mouth, but he can't get himself to say it. Sigrid laughs.
Sigrid: Figures.
Robin: I still love you, even if you can't sing.
Sigrid: Gee. Thanks.
Robin: I can't believe Sabrina and Beau just ditched us like that, though.
Sigrid: I can. They're so in love, Juno's at his dad's, and Beau's got his own apartment. Perfect recipe for a salacious sleepover.
Robin: What a concept. I like how our night's going.
Sigrid: So do I. Can't wait to slip into bed, hold hands, and knock out. I'm exhausted.
Robin: So am I.
Sigrid: I love you. I love this life. Just being a simple, married couple, taking care of our girls. There's no place I'd rather be than right here.
Robin: I feel the same way.
Sigrid: Good. Now let's get changed and go to bed.
Robin: Yes ma'am. But first, a quick goodnight kiss?
Sigrid: I think I can manage that.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Saturday Night Fever
With Juno at his dad's and time dwindling down for Robin and Sigrid to have a live-in babysitter, Sabrina, Beau, Robin, and Sigrid have a little double-date moment. They go to the local karaoke spot which is kinda dead since they got there around 7, but they make the best of it!
Beau: It's so nice that all four of us get some time out together! Next time we have to bring the gang.
Sabrina: For sure! Hard to get everyone together with differing schedules, plus Nyla and Alex not always able to get a babysitter for Roddy. We luck out since Marquise and I aren't together.
Beau: Well I'm sure Juno is having even more fun than us four tonight.
Sabrina: Pfft, you think?
Beau: Oh yeah! Two bachelors in an apartment all by themselves? Perfect recipe for the ultimate rager!
Sabrina: The only rager Juno better be participating in is getting chocolate wasted on some ice cream, beating his father in Don't Wake the Llama, and getting in bed by 9.
Beau: Aww, no late nights on a weekend?
Sabrina: Gotta get him used to a proper sleep schedule before school starts.
Beau: Guess that's why you're the parent and not me.
After watching a few performances of varying levels of skill, the couples try their hand at belting out a few tunes. First up: Robin and Sigrid!
Fun fact: While Robin is a fairly decent singer, Sigrid can't hold a tune to save her life. 😅 They had fun though, and that's what matters.
Next up was Beau and Sabrina. If you thought Sigrid was bad, you should have heard these two together. Poor Sabrina did not inherit their mother's musical talent. 🤣 The best part was truly how much they committed to the whole thing, and they were in perfect sync with each other.
Sabrina: Whew! Man, that was actually really fun.
Beau: I know right? We were electric. Then again, you're always the best partner, so of course we'd kill it.
Sabrina: Ditto. Best team ever!
Meanwhile...
Sigrid: Having fun?
Robin stuffs his mouth with complimentary bread.
Robin: Hmm? Oh yeah, it's great!
Sigrid laughs.
Sigrid: Hey, I heard there's a DJ table upstairs. Why don't you give us a little performance?
Robin: A performance? I mean, it's been a while since I even practiced...
Sigrid: Aww, come on! For old-time's sake? Who knows when we'll get another free evening like this again.
Robin: Well...
It doesn't take long for Robin to agree and get behind the table, starting up the tunes like he last performed yesterday. It's a small crowd, but Sigrid is his biggest fan anyway, and she's all he cares about.
Sigrid isn't the only one smitten with their man though...
Sabrina: Well, this has been nice, hasn't it?
Beau: It has. I always like our weekend dates.
Sabrina: Me too. Living in different towns, busy between your job and my restaurant, being able to meet up like this is nice.
Beau: It won't always be like this. One day, we'll be under the same roof. You'll be making Juno and I try all your new recipes for the restaurant while I demolish him in Blicblock.
Sabrina: That does sound pretty nice. Just as long as you also make sure he finishes his homework before playtime.
Beau: Oh, of course. I'm the best teacher. He'll never have trouble with me around.
Sabrina: You're a good influence on him. He really does look up to you. He thinks you're the coolest, next to his dad.
Beau: That's good to hear. I care about him. I also really care about his super awesome parent.
Sabrina: Oh do you?
Beau: Yeah. They're kind of the love of my life. No big deal.
Sabrina Those are some strong words.
Beau: Well these are some strong feelings.
Sabrina: Well, I have some pretty strong feelings of my own. Maybe we should express these feelings, in private.
Beau: Think we can slip away from Robin and Sigrid?
Sabrina: Oh, that old married couple? Their bedtime is earlier than Juno's these days. I'm sure they won't mind.
Beau laughs.
Beau: I'm gonna tell Robin you said that.
Sabrina: Not if you want to get lucky.
The two say their goodbyes to Sigrid and Robin and slip off to Beau's place. They never make it past the living room. Even after all these years, their passion for each other is just as strong as it was in college. They just have to navigate living in different towns and worrying about bedtimes. Sabrina may have been giving Robin and Sigrid shit, but they're just as in love with their partner as they are.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Summer Haze
The twins have been spending the rest of their summer in different ways. Alma has been playing a lot in the treehouse, letting her imagination soar. On the other hand, Audrey is determined to learn to ride. It's not as easy as it looks, but a newly aged-up friend has been keeping her company.
While Audrey practices outside and Ziggy offers... support, Sabrina chats with Juno before he's off to his dad's for the weekend.
Sabrina: Are you sure it's okay that Audrey uses your bike? You've barely gotten a chance to practice riding because of her.
Juno: I'll learn eventually. I'm going over Dad's anyway.
Sabrina: Sure, but you guys might go to the park or something. Might be nice to have. If you're afraid of telling her no, I can always be the bad sim.
Juno: Bibi, it's okay, really. Maybe she can learn while I'm gone, and then I can have it back after so I can learn!
Sabrina sighs.
Sabrina: Oh Junebug, you've got such a big heart.
Sabrina: Well anyway, all set for your dad's? Packed your bags?
Juno: Yes.
Sabrina: Didn't forget your underwear, did you?
Juno: Bibiiiiiiii!
Sabrina laughs.
Sabrina: Hey, just checking! It's what parents do!
Juno: I'm used to this now. I got this.
Sabrina: I better not hear your dad had to make an emergency run to the store to buy you anything you forgot then, okay?
Juno nods.
Sabrina: Alright, I'll cool off. So, given any more thought to joining the scouts?
Juno: I told the twins I'd think about it over the weekend.
Sabrina: Ooh. Leave them in mystery.
Juno: Did you ever join the scouts?
Sabrina: No, it never really appealed to me. I was busy with my sports. It's what me and Grandma bonded over. You know she was once a professional soccer player.
Juno: Yeah, and you both played soccer in university, blah blah blah,
Sabrina: Dang! Do I talk about it that much?
Juno: Maybe once or twice.
The duo giggles.
Sabrina: Well even though I never did scouting myself, that doesn't mean I don't see the value in it. You can learn a variety of different skills, build character, and of course bond with the twins and other kids in the troop. It could be good for you. Figure out what you like.
Juno: Yeah, that all sounds nice.
Sabrina: ...Is there something that worries you about it?
Juno: Well... I guess I'm worried I won't like it.
Sabrina: Why?
Juno: I don't know. Maybe I'm just not meant to be a scout or something.
Sabrina: You worried you won't make any friends?
Juno: No.
Sabrina: You worried you won't earn any badges?
Juno: ...Maybe a little.
Sabrina: Juno, there's more to scouts than just the badges.
Juno: Bibi, earning scout badges is literally the whole point of the club.
Sabrina: But also learning skills and making memories. Even if you didn't get one badge, you'd surely learn a lot about yourself, and you'd make so many memories with the other kids. But you will. And you'll have lots of fun along the way.
Juno: I guess...
Sabrina: You know I'd support you whether you join or not. Don't feel pressured by anyone to make one decision or another. But also, don't make a decision based on fear either. Okay, kiddo?
Juno: Okay. I understand.
Sabrina: Good. I always got your back, Junebug. Through thick and thin.
Juno: Thanks, Bibi.
Meanwhile...
Sigrid: So school is starting soon. Audrey's already on top of her prep schoolwork. How's yours coming along?
Alma: It's coming.
Sigrid: Hmm... well, is there anything I can do to help this come along better?
Alma: Mom, I got this. School will be a piece of cake.
Sigrid: Alma, it's also okay if things get a little tricky and you need help--
Alma: Mom, really, I got it all under control! How can it be so hard? Just go to classes, do my homework, maybe do a project or two and I'll pass with flying colors! Easy!
Sigrid sighs. She knows her daughter -- ever the confident one -- but she also wants to provide her guidance and support. Still, she won't push too much. Not yet.
Sigrid: Well, just promise me you'll try your best and if you need help, you'll come ask for some, okay?
Alma: Just watch, Mom! I'll be on the honor roll before you know it! I'll show everyone, especially Audrey!
Sigrid: Alma, not everything has to be a competition with your sister. You can help each other too.
Alma: Yeah. But I'm gonna beat her.
Another loud sigh from Sigrid. Alma is also very stubborn.
Sigrid: We'll talk more about this later, okay? In the meantime, just remember to spend some time on that prep work and don't leave it to the last minute. I'll be checking, okay?
Alma: Yes ma'am.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Summer Memories
As summer comes to an end, the family has been spending as much time together as possible. Juno has been spending time with his Bibi and big cousin Robin. Alma has been enjoying lots of pool time (as has her mother). Scarlett has been enjoying some quiet time in nature between working and looking for a place to move to. And finally, Audrey has been working on her bike-riding skill, thanks to the generosity of Juno who's more than willing to share his bike.
Robin has been working hard in his career and has made it to the senior manager position. Unfortunately, he's also been overdoing it and starting to suffer from burnout. He just wants to do his job well and provide for his family, especially considering that his aunt will be moving as soon as she finds the right place for herself. It's a big house that's been bestowed upon him, and it needs proper upkeep and care. He doesn't want to get behind on bills, so he wants to earn as much as he can to ensure their security.
Sabrina has also been working hard as well! They've been doing longer hours at the restaurant which is always exhausting, but they want to do their part for the household, especially for their own kid. The big difference is that Sabrina was exhausted at their old job, but dreaded even going in. Even though this job is hard and taxing, they look forward to it. That's how they know they made the right decision. They've even been able to start thinking about expanding.
Juno: This summer has been really fun! I'm glad we all got to hang out so much.
Audrey: Tell me about it! But I gotta ask, have you thought about joining scouts with us?
Juno: Wha- you only asked yesterday!
Audrey: 24 hours is a lot of time to think!
Alma: Come on Juno, it'll be fun! Just think: we can work on our badges together, go to club meetings, explore, and meet new people!
Audrey: And it'll look good on a college application!
Juno: College? We haven't even finished elementary school!
Audrey: Always good to think ahead!
Alma rolls her eyes.
Alma: Excuse my lame sister, but seriously Juno! You gotta join with us!
Juno: Well I'm still thinking about it. Maybe I'll want to join another club.
Alma: Okay, but just imagine this! Us three, camping, gorging on s'mores for dinner, and swapping scary stories all night. And we can get a badge for that!
Juno: Can we?
Alma: Well, not exactly. But there's an outdoorsy badge or something like that. What's more outdoorsy than a camping trip? And have I mentioned, s'mores?
Audrey: And just imagine all the skill benefits! We'll be set for life!
Alma: ...Yeah. Cool. Anyway, Juno, please really think about it when you're over your dad's house. Promise you will?
Audrey: Pleaasssseeeee?
Juno: I promise I'll really think about it. And I'll let you know when I get back. Deal?
Audrey: Deal!
Alma: Yeah, deal. I do hope you'll join with us.
Juno: We'll see. It does sound like fun. I just want to really consider things.
Audrey: We understand, even if we are impatient. Right, Alma?
Alma: Yeah. You gotta make your own choice. I respect it. Even though I'll be annoyed if you don't.
The three giggle.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Soaking Up Summer
With summer still in full swing, the family is enjoying as much time together as possible before the kids officially start school and Scarlett makes her big move.
Ziggy has been his usual troublemaker self too 😆 Since he's still a puppy, the family is working hard to train him. By family, I really mean Sigrid.
Sigrid: Ziggy, again?! I just washed you yesterday! Ugh, why do you have to keep making yourself dirty?
Ziggy completely disregards Sigrid's chastisement. Typical puppy 🤣.
Sigrid: Ugh, and to think I was more worried about the girls giving me gray hairs... Alright then, guess it's time for another bath.
Sigrid scoops the tiny pup into her arms. She tries to be annoyed, but the way Ziggy looks up at her with those cute eyes... she melts faster than she'd like to admit.
Sigrid: Oh... why do you have to be so stinkin' cute? Alright buddy, let's get you clean again.
Meanwhile...
Audrey: Since summer is going to come to an end soon, I have a list of things I want to accomplish before school starts.
Sabrina: Oh? Like what?
Audrey: Do some school prep, learn how to ride a bike, look into badges for scouts...
Juno: Scouts!
Audrey: Yeah! My parents have already talked about signing me and Alma up. You should join with us! It could be fun!
Sabrina: Would you like to join too, Juno? No pressure.
Juno: I don't know... maybe it could be fun.
Alma: Yeah! Just imagine it! Scout meetings, competing for badges, me winning them all.
Audrey: Pah! As if. Come on Juno, you're not gonna let Alma trash talk us like that, right?
Sabrina: Well Juno has to make his own decision on whether he wants to join or not. Give him some time to decide, okay?
Alma and Audrey look at one another for a moment.
Alma and Audrey: Okay.
Alma: But don't take too long! We're probably going to be signing up this week!
Audrey: It'd be really awesome if we could all join together.
Juno sits with a pensive look on his face but says nothing. Sabrina encourages him to make his own decisions, regardless of what anyone else thinks. They hope Juno doesn't feel pressured, and if they do decide to join they'll truly enjoy it.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Unseen Moments #8
Same night. As Sabrina finishes up with Juno, they hear a knock on the front door.
Sabrina: Beau! What a surprise!
Beau: Well since we didn't have our usual weekend time, I still wanted to check in. Juno's already down for the night, right?
Sabrina: Yup, he just fell asleep. Was so busy after getting back from the splash pads I haven't even gotten a chance to get myself together.
Beau: Well how about you take a moment, get yourself together, and then we can hang out for a while?
Sabrina: Sounds good. Meet you out back.
Once Sabrina gets changed, the two spend some time out back. Beau hasn't really gotten a chance to hang out in the treehouse, so the two go up there to chat.
Beau: Wow, this place is so cool! The kids are so lucky.
Sabrina: Tell me about it. Robin's already planning some upgrades.
Beau: I would've loved to have something like this as a kid. Imagine the sick parties with all your friends...
Sabrina: Well, I never had many friends back then.
Beau: Really? I mean, I lost contact with my old childhood friends, but we were a good group.
Sabrina: Nah, guess I was a late bloomer in that regard. Of course, I was dating quickly into my teenage years, so you win some and lose some.
Beau: Ah, well, those friendships definitely helped shape me. In comparison, it took a while for me to start dating.
Sabrina: It's so interesting how opposite our early lives were. And yet, here we are.
Beau: Well, if it's any consolation, I think your life was very cool despite everything.
Sabrina: You do?
Beau: Are you kidding? Big family, growing up with your cousins and uncle, big family parties and vacations, not to mention Anya and Haru being an actual celebrity power couple! I can only imagine what came with being related to all of that stuff.
Sabrina: Well, I think I prefer my life without the immense celebrity status, personally.
The two chuckle.
Sabrina: No, but I get what you mean. Still, with all the good was a lot of bad too. Losing my aunt, which affected Anya a lot. Then when Uncle Armani died, that changed the family even more. Suddenly, Robin and Anya were thrust into orphanhood basically. At the same time, I was going through things, and... well, we weren't in a good spot.
Beau: It was growing pains. Early adulthood. The rose-colored glasses of childhood were coming off for the first time. I know it was hard on both of us. The only regret I have of that time... not being able to be by your side.
Sabrina: Well, I was the one that pushed you away. It's my own fault. I hope you don't carry any burdens about that.
Beau: Well, I'm glad things are different now.
Sabrina: Me too.
Beau: Do you have any regrets?
Sabrina: I suppose I do regret pushing you away. The first time, I think it was definitely impulsive and I didn't give you a chance to prove yourself. The second time... I needed that time for myself. Even though it sucked, I understand that to be true. And it made me realize just how much I really do care about you.
Beau: It did? Really?
Sabrina: Were you worried about that?
Beau: I was worried that it's going to be a trend in our relationship. Always somehow missing each other and what the other needs.
Sabrina: Beau... you've always catered to my needs. From the very beginning. Sometimes, I worry that I'm too selfish. If I've ever been selfish with you, I want to say I'm sorry. You're a really great man.
Beau: Sabrina, it's okay. I'm not perfect. I've let my temper push things between us.
Sabrina: See? There you go again. Blaming yourself for your reaction when I was the one hurting you.
Beau: We hurt each other. Not on purpose, but we did.
Sabrina: I suppose that's true.
Beau: I don't want to keep tally of the times we weren't our best selves. I messed up, you messed up, but we vowed to do better. And we have been doing better. Do you agree?
Sabrina: Definitely. Things have been amazing.
Beau: Then water under the bridge. We move forward together.
Sabrina can't help but sigh dreamily.
Sabrina: Have I ever told you truly how wonderful you are?
Beau: I don't mind hearing it again.
Sabrina: Well Beau, you're the most wonderful, loving, understanding, caring, patient boyfriend I've ever had. You've put up with my crap and been a great role model to Juno, and I'm forever grateful to you. How's that?
Beau: Add on how chiseled and handsome I am and it's perfect.
Sabrina laughs.
Sabrina: You're stunningly handsome and a total catch. And I'm very much so in love with you and so lucky to have such a stud of a man by my side.
Beau smiles.
Beau: And I'm lucky to have someone who has opened their entire world and family to me, loves me for who I am, and is super hot themselves.
Sabrina: I think that makes us even.
Beau: So do I.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Unseen Moments #7
Juno's final night as a toddler. While Sabrina puts the tot to bed, the twins enjoy some snacktime before bed.
Audrey: I have the whole situation under control! The tooth is packaged nicely, I've written my letter to the tooth fairy, and I've got a fresh pair of sheets on my bed! By tomorrow morning, I'll be a couple simoleons richer and can put this all behind me.
Alma: You do know you're going to lose more teeth eventually, right?
Audrey: What? Pah! You don't know what you're talking about.
Alma: Seriously! Maybe the tooth fairy will be nice enough to just take all your teeth at once next time. Don't worry, you can be on a strict ice cream diet from then on!
Audrey's eyes go wide.
Audrey: W-what? Are you serious? Oh no, what if the tooth fairy just decides to take all my teeth at once? This first one if just the bait! I can't survive off of ice cream alone!
Alma: Well, your bones will certainly be strong.
Alma snickers while Audrey has an existential crisis.
Sigrid feels her blood pressure rising by the millisecond listening to this conversation.
Sigrid: Enough, both of you. Alma, stop teasing your sister. Audrey. your teeth will be fine.
The twins washed up and went to bed shortly after this, and Audrey's teeth were perfectly fine 🤣.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - The End Calls for New Beginnings
The following day, Sabrina has a busy day at the restaurant. Running a business is not for the faint of heart, and there's a lot to consider, but generally, all seems to be going well. They're making a profit, albeit still a small one, but their customers are satisfied with the food and service. Sabrina is constantly thinking about ways to enhance the service and food quality, perhaps if they invest in a different vendor for their spices-
Juno: Surprise!
Oh, just then, as some of the last customers finish up for the day, Scarlett and little Juno make an appearance!
Sabrina: Oh, well look who it is! Hey there Junebug!
Juno: Hi, Bibi! Grandma brought me for our special photo!
Sabrina: I can see that! You're wearing the outfit I picked out for this special occasion! Looking snazzy, by the way.
Juno: Oh, this old thing?
The two laugh and are so caught up in their own banter that they don't even notice Scarlett make her way over.
Scarlett: Well, good to see everyone thought about me in this conversation.
Sabrina immediately pulls their mom in for a hug.
Sabrina: Aww, don't be like, Mom. It's good to see you too.
Scarlett: I'm just teasing. This moment is about the two of you. It's a big day in an ongoing tradition!
Juno: So are we gonna take the picture now?
Sabrina: I'm ready if you are!
Juno: Oh, I was born ready. Let's do this.
Both Scarlett and Sabrina laugh at this.
Sabrina: All right champ. Time for your closeup.
After the picture is taken, Grandma Scarlett directs Juno to the play area to keep himself occupied and sits Sabrina down for a chat. Sabrina is a little surprised by this move, but seeing the calm seriousness on their mother's face tells them that they should just comply. They're not sure how to feel-- scared? Worried?
Scarlett: Firstly, relax. I can see the nervousness on your face.
Classic Scarlett. She knows her kid so well.
Sabrina: Dang, Mom. You didn't have to read me so well for once.
Scarlett: Hey, what can I say? I know that look you get on your face. Anyway, there's no need to panic. I just wanted to chit-chat with you about something.
Sabrina: Well, that doesn't exactly put me at ease. Spill.
Scarlett: Well... now that Juno and the twins are bigger kids now, things are shifting. They don't need as much help, nor do you, Robin, and Sigrid. You guys have started successful careers and businesses with potentially more things to come.
Sabrina: Mom, just say it. Whatever it is.
Scarlett sighs, but there's a resigned smile on her face.
Scarlett: I think it's finally time for me to move on. Leave the Legacy House to you guys.
Sabrina: You're... moving out?
Scarlett: Well, not tomorrow, but yes. Eventually. It's been something I've been thinking about for some time.
Sabrina: But... you're going to have your elder birthday soon! Don't you want some assistance as you get older?
Scarlett: I've taken plenty good care of myself. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, and I doubt reaching elderhood will have such adverse effects that I can't live on my own.
Sabrina: But, you'll miss Juno's milestones! When he learns to ride his bike! First sleepover! First loose tooth!
Scarlett: You'll both just have to tell me all about it. I'm sure I'll be around for at least some of them.
Sabrina: What about the house? Upkeeping that big house all by ourselves?
Scarlett: I've taught you and Robin well, and Sigrid is also a great homemaker. You'll be fine.
Sabrina: But-
Scarlett: Sabrina. I'm moving out. That's that.
Sabrina sighs.
Scarlett: My life has been a rollercoaster. I lost my mother when I was a little girl, lost my father as a teenager, lost my sister in young adulthood, and worked tirelessly with her widower to raise Anya, Robin, and you until he died. I watched Anya build her own family and move away, Robin find true love and build a family with Sigrid, and witnessed the birth of my own grandchild. I've helped you, Robin, and Sigrid raise three children close in age, and now they have grown more independent and wonderful. I've juggled a variety of jobs, finished college, achieved fame and success in multiple fields, and, most importantly, raised a pretty great sim. I'm proud of my accomplishments, and I'm ready to live quietly.
Sabrina: Softening the blow by trying to butter me up, huh?
Scarlett: Hey if it works! No, but seriously Sabrina, I know what this is. You're scared.
Sabrina: Scared? Why would I be scared?
Scarlett: Because I've always been here. Always able to bail you out. If I leave, things will change. You'll be on your own in a way you've never been before. You'll still have Robin and Sigrid, yes, and Marquise will still be a great co-parent as well as Juno's other male figures stepping up in his life, but at the very core... you'll be all alone with him. It was the same setup for me.
Sabrina: Mom, come on, that was very different.
Scarlett: Well, I did have my sister Kira for a brief amount of time, and Armani through it all, but he was busy caring for Robin and Anya most of the time. Especially Anya at that time, because she was going through her own rebellious stage and dealing with being pregnant with Colt. You were solely my responsibility, and I didn't rely on him to care for you much. I chose to have you and I accepted that responsibility. Now... it's your turn to do the same.
Sabrina: But, Mom...
Scarlett: Sabrina. I love you very much. I love little Juno very much. My entire life, I've been caring for someone in some capacity. First, it was my little sister, then her children, then you, then Juno and the twins. It's time for me to care for myself.
Sabrina wants to object further, stating how much Juno will miss having Grandma at home and how the girls will ask where Auntie Scarlett is. They want to insist that juggling a restaurant and then having to raise a kid and upkeep such a large house will be difficult without her. But soon enough, they realize all these points are selfish, and do not consider what Scarlett wants or needs. Sabrina sighs.
Sabrina: Well... I guess we better start house hunting, huh?
Scarlett's heart nearly bursts with love and pride at that very moment.
Scarlett: So you'll help me?
Sabrina: Well I'm not going to let my mom live in a dump! Consider it done.
Scarlett: I don't need a lot of space. Just enough for me and some space for the kids to play outside when they come to visit. I'm sure we can find something to accommodate that in no time.
Sabrina: We definitely will, with my help.
Scarlett: Thanks, sweetheart. I knew I could count on you. And you'll be fine. Trust me. I'll still be here whenever you need me.
Sabrina: I know. Thanks, Mom.
Scarlett: You're welcome.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - The End of Toddlerhood: Juno's Birthday
At long last, the day has finally come. Juno will join the big kid club and the family will no longer have to worry about tumbling toddlers anymore!
Scarlett is the first to get a final toddler hug from Juno, while everyone else gets ready for the day. It's a lovely, quiet moment between grandmother and grandson, one that Scarlett will surely remember forever even if Juno does not.
Sabrina and Marquise decided against a big party and instead invited over lifelong friends to celebrate Juno's special day. It's a very simple party since it's during the work week, but Juno's got the most important things: a birthday cake and a special surprise from his parents.
Sabrina: Ah, so you must be the mysterious Irina! Alton has been keeping you under wraps!
Irina: Yeah, well, we started dating pretty quickly after he broke up with his ex, so we wanted to take things slow. It's so nice to finally meet you, though! Thanks for the invite.
Sabrina: Well I hope the two of you can be around a lot more! You'll definitely have invites to any game or karaoke nights!
Irina: That sounds great!
Sabrina: Who would've thought we'd end up with two of the cutest kids on the planet?
Nyla: You mean the two cutest kids on the planet.
Sabrina chuckles.
Sabrina: I didn't want Robin or Sigrid overhearing me make a claim like that.
Nyla: The twins are a close third place.
Sabrina: It's just so awesome that Juno has all this love around him. When birthdays came around for me, it was usually just me, my mom, and my cousins and uncle.
Beau: Well, the little guy deserves it. He's a good kid. How are you feeling?
Sabrina: About what?
Beau: You know, about this? A phase of life is ending for both of you. Juno's gonna be a kid that's able to go to school, feed himself, learn new skills, and he's not going to need you in the same ways anymore.
Sabrina: Hmm... well, I think I've processed it all now. I'm excited about this new chapter and I know I have the memories to look back on, which is nice.
Beau: That's good. I'm glad.
Beau: Well, you'll have a new portrait to put up in the restaurant!
Sabrina: Oh yeah! Tomorrow I'll take him there and continue the tradition! I've already picked out the perfect outfit for him of everything!
Beau: You'll have to tell me all about it.
Marquise: Aww, kiddo...
Sabrina walks over to them.
Sabrina: What's this? Giving out some final toddler hugs Junebug?
Juno: Yeah yeah!
Juno raises his arms towards Sabrina.
Sabrina: Oh, is it Bibi's turn?
Sabrina kneels down in front of him. Juno comes in close immediately, ready to give his Bibi a final hug before it's time to age up.
Sabrina: My sweet Junebug. Thanks for being so awesome. Time to blow out your candles. You ready, buddy?
So Sabrina grabs Juno, brings him over to the birthday cake, and helps him blow out his candles. Happy birthday to the baby of the family, Juno aka "Junebug"!
Before and after! The toddler days of Gen 5 are officially behind us! Juno joins the big leagues along with his cousins.
Audrey: Welcome to the club, Juno!
Juno: Thanks, guys!
Alma: Now you're finally big enough to hang out with us in the treehouse. We don't usually allow boys in, but we can make an exception in your case.
Juno: Huh. Thanks, I guess.
Alma: Don't mention it!
With the twins and Juno being so close in age but the twins being a little older, it's easy for Juno to feel overlooked, so his parents have their own special surprise for him.
Juno: No way! Is this my bike?
Marquise: All yours!
Juno: This is so awesome! Thanks, Dad!
Juno envelops his dad in a big hug.
Marquise: You're welcome, but you should be thanking your Bibi too.
Sabrina: Did I hear my name?
Juno: Bibi! Thank you so much! This is awesome.
Sabrina: You're very welcome. The most awesome bike for the most awesome little fella!
Sabrina makes a thing out of giving Juno the biggest kiss on his cheek, which makes Juno cringe.
Juno: Aww, come on Bibi!
Sabrina can't help but giggle.
Sabrina: Already too big for a kiss from your Bibi? You just aged up!
Juno sighs dramatically.
Juno: Can I ride my bike? Please?
Sabrina: Of course. Dad can help you with your first lesson.
Juno: Alright!
Marquise: Alright, now riding is all about balance! Hold on tight to the handlebars and lean into the turns!
Juno: Got it!
So Juno spends the afternoon of his birthday getting his first bike riding lesson from his dad. It's a simple interaction, but one neither sim will ever forget. With this milestone, Juno's parents know the joy of childhood will only continue.

Sims 4 Fontenot Legacy - Summer Shift
The summer is still in full swing in the Legacy save. During a season full of events, there's still one more for this particular season of time: Juno's birthday! Sabrina has been trying to soak up the last days of his toddlerhood, requesting to Marquise that they not have Juno spend the weekend at his house this weekend and start the practice again once he ages up. Of course, Marquise promised to see Juno regardless and will do so on Sunday. In the meantime, on this final official day of summer, the family decided to pay a visit to their neighbors.
Scarlett: Juno's ever the schmoozer, isn't he? Always making friends everywhere he goes.
Sabrina: That he does. I'm sure in elementary school that trend will continue. He's such a sweetheart, I just hope he adjusts well.
Scarlett: Are you worried about that?
Sabrina: Well... he's such a kind soul. I wouldn't want people to take advantage of that. And I want him to feel like he's under the shadow of the twins either. There could be comparisons. They're second cousins, so kind of far apart, but kids might still ask questions. Why does he look so different to them? Why is his hair curly and theirs isn't? Why is his skin brown and theirs isn't?
Scarlett: Kids are curious, but they're also pretty easily satisfied. Juno can explain himself if he wants to in simple terms, but the kids will probably forget in a matter of seconds and move on to something else. Especially when they see how awesome he is, he'll blend in in no time.
Sabrina: We don't know that for sure.
Scarlett: Sabrina, don't project your childhood onto Juno. He's his own sim. He'll find his place in the world on his own timeline, just like you did.
Sabrina: You... you're right. I just can't help but worry. It was harder explaining to kids when I just had you to connect as my mother, but no real identity of my father. Add that all my family looked so different from me... it was confusing.
Scarlett: I can't deny any of that. Using an anonymous donor was perhaps a risk, but I never cared how you looked. I knew you'd be mine no matter what. I know in hindsight it may have been naive of me, but I wanted to be a Mom. Now, you have a chance to create something better for Juno. He has you, and he has his father. It'll be easier to explain. You don't have to carry that alone.
Sabrina: I guess so...
Scarlett: And don't forget, my father was a native of Mt. Komorebi. Our family has roots all over the place. That'll only continue with time. Soon enough, there'll be no discussions like this one.
Eventually, the stress melts away from Sabrina's face and they can't help but smile at their mom.
Sabrina: You know, you're really good at making me feel better.
Scarlett: It's what mothers do. I know my child better than anyone.
Sabrina nods.
Sabrina: That you do. Thanks, Mom.
Scarlett: Don't mention it.
Juno's not the only one good at making friends in this family, however! As always, Audrey has no issue being friendly with the neighbor's kids. Her sister, Alma, doesn't find it as easy.
Jalisa: So... do you play Voidcritters?
Alma: Nah.
Jalisa: Do you ride your bike?
Alma: We don't have bikes, and I haven't learned to ride yet.
Jalisa: What about the treehouse? You and your sister, you must play in the place a lot. You're really lucky to have such a cool hangout!
Alma: I usually play in the enclosure by myself.
Jalisa: Oh...
Alma, ever the conversationalist.
The two eventually came to an understanding though, finding joy in swinging on the swings together. Jalisa began to understand that Alma really does enjoy others, she's just slower to warm to other sims than her sister.
Speaking of her sister, Audrey has her own share of fun when she plays around on the monkey bars with Jalisa's brother. He's similarly quiet like Alma, but Audrey knows how to bring out the best in everyone.
Juno gets some fun times in too, as the baby of the family. Sabrina really tries to live in the moment and soak up these final days with Juno, trying to remember him at this age because soon, it'll be long gone.
Sigrid: Thank you again for inviting us over.
India: Oh, don't mention it at all! It's nice for the kids to have peers to play and hang out with. And we have all this space anyway, why not entertain?
Sigrid: Yes, your house is very lovely. I'm so glad we could all get to spend some time together. You know better than anyone else here probably what motherhood is like to multiples.
India: Yes, Nathan and I certainly have our hands full! But I wouldn't have it any other way.
Sigrid: How do just the two of you manage? I only have the girls but they run me ragged all on their own.
India: Since Nathan and I don't have extended family, we created a strong system that works because we stay true to it. Schedules, diets, extra-curriculars, the whole nine yards. We try to make time for each child individually, for each other, and for ourselves. It's not easy, but it works for us.
Sigrid: Wow, that's... that's really admirable.
Sigrid honestly didn't expect that deep of an answer. From the brief conversations she and India have had in the past, she didn't think India was quite that introspective and aware. It's refreshing, actually.
India: Of course, this can all be accessed on our holistic living blog! You should check it out! I'll even give you a neighborly discount on the chakra realignment course!
Aaaaaannnnnndddd there it is.
Sigrid: O-oh, that sounds very nice. You know, I'm really into wellness too. I was even thinking of starting my own home business.
India: Oh, how wonderful! You know, I really am quite the expert in this area. I could even advertise your services to my readers if you're interested!
Sigrid: Oh, really? That might be helpful, actually. I need some more time to really plan things out, but I'll definitely let you know.
India: Excellent! Well, I do hope we can be help to each other!
The day at the Carver's house is long and eventful, and before they know it the sun is going down and everyone is exhausted. They trudge back home and basically all pass out in their beds. A successful summer Saturday indeed!
The next day, Audrey has finally lost her loose tooth! Relieved that the event is done and over with, she's excited to place her tooth under her pillow to get her money from the tooth fairy and really be done with the whole process.
And while Sigrid and Robin spend some family time with the girls on their own, Sabrina also takes the initiative to spend some family time with Marquise and Juno, just as promised, especially since Marquise agreed to not have Juno over this weekend. They decide to meet up in San Sequoia and enjoy the splash pads, soaking up some of the warm weather. Juno has a blast and really enjoys this special time he gets to spend with both of his parents. He may not understand it fully now, but he will grow to really appreciate just how cooperative his parents are in raising him and giving him the best childhood they can.
Marquise: Well, I'd say we made a good choice in bringing Juno here. He's a natural waterbug for sure.
Sabrina: That's for sure. But of course, he's such a little cherub. We could probably take him to a junkyard and he'd still have a blast.
Marquise: Hah, can't argue with that. I wonder if he'll always be like that though. His birthday's so close now, and things will change for all of us.
Sabrina: That's true. I can't say it hasn't worried me. But no matter what, we'll both always be here for him, no matter who else comes around.
Marquise: Yeah. I can feel it in the air. Change is coming. I can't even fully explain it, but it's...
Sabrina: Seated deep down in your gut?
Marquise: Yeah. Exactly.
Sabrina: I feel it too. It's like with the end of summer, it's the end of this era. An era of... peace. At least, peace in the way we know it to be now.
Marquise: Very doomsday of us both, isn't it?
Sabrina chuckles.
Sabrina: Well, there's still many good things to look forward to. With childhood, we can do so much more with Juno! Take him camping, have him learn new skills, extra-curriculars...
Marquise: And he can always look forward to weekends with me. I really do enjoy them, and I hope he does as well. I'm already planning out his room upgrade.
Sabrina: Juno's a lucky one. Even Beau talked about making the spare room at his place a bedroom for Juno.
Marquise: Speaking of which, how are you two doing?
Sabrina: Really good, I have to say. The worst of our issues are hopefully behind us. You know, I even talked to my mom about it, and... I think I would like to propose to Beau.
Marquise's eyes go wide. Sabrina can already feel themself getting embarrassed and flustered.
Marquise: Would you really? So it's that serious for you now?
Sabrina: W-well you all say it like I'm proposing tomorrow! I haven't done anything more than think about it! I would need to go look for a ring, and plan a moment for us to be alone, a-and--
Marquise: Sabrina, relax. I'm just happy for you. It's a big step, whether it comes tomorrow or when you're both old and gray.
Sabrina: Gosh, you sound like my mom. Okay, enough about me, tell me about your love life. You been using the tips I gave you?
Marquise: I have, thanks for those by the way.
Sabrina: Aaaaannnnddd? Are we yielding any results yet?
A sly smile creeps on Marquise's face.
Marquise: There may have been some positive results yielded.
Sabrina can hardly contain themself.
Sabrina: Marq! No way! Are you dating someone?!
Marquise: It's not official just yet, but... things seem to be going well.
Sabrina: Well obviously you have to bring this person around sometime! You know, if it really seems like it's serious! I'll have to vet them, of course.
Marquise chuckles.
Marquise: Oh, of course. And at any rate, I don't think I'd want her around Juno unless I really feel that this relationship will go forward.
Sabrina: Ah, so a her. Already got my first clue.
Marquise: Sabrina, ever the detective. Well, like I said a while back, I'd like to have you and Beau over for dinner. We never really got to talk about it, but that's the reason why. I'd like you both to meet her.
Sabrina: Marquise, you know we both have your back. We wouldn't miss it for the world.
Marquise: Well let's get through Juno's birthday and the first day of school and whatnot, and then we can talk more about it, yeah?
Sabrina: You got it champ. Just remember me in your wedding vows when the day comes. Oh, and I take a 15% commission for my services.
Marquise and Sabrina both laugh, the two pulling in for a hug.
Marquise: Thanks, Sabrina.
Sabrina: Hey, don't mention it.
