This is my last work in Bagginshield fandom. I would very much like to thank to all those wonderful people who make art and fic because they made my stay in this fandom a very fascinating experience. How BotFA could have ended if happy ever afters did exist.

What if Hobbits were like possums and instinctively play dead/go into a deep sleep when they feel truly threatened.

Bilbo have been able to hold it in for most of the journey, but everything becomes to much when Thorin takes him by the throat and holds him over the battlements.

So Bilbo just goes limp in Thorins hands and that makes him pause in his ranting. He give the hobbit a good shake, but he doesn’t react and the dwarf comes to the horrid realization that /he can’t feel the half longs pulse/ under his hand. There is then many tears and Thorin holds his burglars still body in his arms as he begs for forgiveness.

Bonus points if Bilbo only wakes up because he’s hungry.
