Located just two kilometres west of Ikeja, Opebi is a well-organised low-density residential area. Most people in the area get around using their vehicles, by bus/motorcycle but there are also taxis stationed at strategic points around the area. Opebi/Allen Avenue has a good road network and is well connected to the Ikorodu Road expressway making it easily accessible. Allen Avenue has gradually become the hub of business and social activities on the mainland, with numerous department stores, shopping malls, hotels, clubs and leisure centres springing up in the area. Alade Market is a major shopping centre in the area. #Nice #Opebi #Allen #AllenAvenue #AladeMarket #LagosLiving #Lagos #Nigeria #Africa #FO (at Opebi Allen)

Good morning Lagos, where are you off to? Lagos Island is the principal and central local government area of the Metropolitan Lagos in Nigeria. It is part of the Lagos Division. Ebute Metta is a suburb of Lagos, Nigeria. Ebute Metta is a Yoruba word for a place known as three shores. Ebute means shore and Meta means three. This part of Lagos is residential and crowdy. | #Lagos #MyLagos #YourLagos #ThisIsMyLagos #Nigeria #InstaLagos #LooksLikeLagos #HiLagos #LagosViews #PhotoStories #PhotoDocumentary #Streets #Scenery #Streetography #Photography #FO (at LAGOS City)

The last phase of fuel scarcity was the worst Nigeria (especially Lagos and Abuja) had ever experienced. Rainy day in Lagos - Happy Sunday | President Obama's convoy comprises his limo, a decoy limo, one or two media buses and a few police outriders on motorcycles. That is the length of the convoy of a self-respecting Local Government Chairman in Nigeria. The convoy of a Nigerian government official is obscene ostentation, intimidation, unbridled arrogance, and abject alienation from the people. In the convoy, the Nigerian govt official - often a Big Man, Chief, Alhaji or a combination of all three - is no longer human. The speed limit of his convoy is determined by how far the speedometer of each constituent bullet-proof SUV can go. | #Lagos #Lagosians #LifeInLagos #Nice #Nigeria #Convoy #Photography #Streets #LooksLikeLagos #InstaLagos #HiLagos #LagosViews #Life #PhotoStories #FO (at Third Main Land Bridge Oworonshoki Lagos State Nigeria)

These canoes are from the Makoko area of Lagos. Makoko is a slum neighborhood located in Lagos, Nigeria. Established in the 18th century primarily as a fishing village, much of Makoko rests in structures constructed on stilts above Lagos Lagoon. Their main mode of transportation is the use of canoes. | #Makoko #Mainland #Lagos #BW #InstaLagos #LooksLikeLagos #HiLagos #LagosViews #Nigeria #Lagosians #LagosState #Life #Photos #PhotoStories #Scenery #Streets #Photography #FO (at Makoko Yaba)

The Carter Bridge built in 1901 is one of three bridges connecting Lagos Island, Lagos, Nigeria to the mainland, the other two being the Third Mainland and Eko bridges. At the time of its construction, this was the only bridge connection between the mainland and Lagos Island. The bridge starts from Iddo on the mainland and ends at the Idumota area of Lagos Island. | #Lagos #Lagosians #Life #Visuals #Mainland ##LooksLikeLagos #HiLagos #LagosViews #InstaLagos #Photography #FO (at Carter Bridge)

Hassan, a street barber, walks round the vicinity in search of customers to cut or shave their heads to "gorimapa". He says it's too expensive to actually rent a shop. Rather than use clippers, he uses a pair of scissors and blades to shave hair off each customer's head. He says it brings money home and is able to sustain him and his family. What do you know about hustle?
