less promotion required meant less variety shows that taesung was expected to attend. on one hand, it was a delightful fact for it meant he was allowed to stay home more often. on the other, taesung admittedly missed it, had always enjoyed being the center of attention and had enough experience to handle varieties with ease. the man had requested for bc to let him attend one of them – he was expecting something in the lines of knowing bros, but ultimately hello counselor would do. taesung arrived at the time he was expected to and bearing food for the members of the staff, which he distributed with a smile on his face, catching up on people he’d been interacting every once in a while for the past decade. the man hadn’t known exactly how many and who would be the people guesting with him, but he was happy to find a familiar face getting ready. “ hana-ssi! ” taesung approached her. “ have you eaten? ”

the sole advantage of being a senior idol was that less promotion was expected from your group. taesung remembered being a rookie, the amount of variety shows he was supposed to attend through the duration of their promo period and how busy he always seemed to be. not that now he was completely free and had as much time as he wished for, but ten years in the industry definitely had the added perk of not being expected to hustle as much. which was what lead him to attend a football game. his face was known enough that, even with the mask, taesung wasn’t given the freedom to just sit wherever he wanted without people staring so he often chose one of the VIP spots. it was upon arriving there that taesung noticed a familiar figure. “ oh, hyung, ” taesung’s bright smile was easy to notice even with the mask. “ didn’t expect to see you here. ”

Blue Releases Debut Solo Mini-Album “H U E S″

Unity’s Blue has dropped his first solo mini-album! Blue is the first member of the rookie boy group to release a solo and follows after members Jaewon, Soo, and Max, who have all done collaborative work earlier in the year. Unity has recently wrapped an extended period of promotions for songs off of their first full-length studio album Unity Empathy.

H U E S is a four-track mini-album and is kept short, but cohesive. Each song on the track list has a spacey R&B sound, which allows Blue to show off a soulful tone beyond the opportunities he has in Unity’s notoriously experimental and often hip hop-based title tracks. Blue contributed to the lyrics of all four songs, and “Planet Girl”, which features Taesung of Decipher, has the rapper co-writing the song alongside him.

“Bittersweet” is the album’s single and has a chill and trendy beat under lyrics about struggling to forget a former lover.  The music video plays with movement and shadows to radiate an eeriness and loneliness befitting of the song. Blue will promote the song for a month on music shows.

“No, I agree. I think it’s really cute, hyung, don’t stop trying to woo me. Your sleaziness too, not everyone gets to say they experienced the sleazy side of Ahn Taesung.” A quiet laugh leaving Theo’s lips, it was times like this where he realised how lucky he actually was to be the receiver of Taesung’s love and affection. There were so many stories he had heard where people just stopped making an effort once they got into a relationship and thus the relationship grew stale and had no growth, but that was something that Theo definitely did not want to happen. Everyday with Taesung was exciting, and he hoped that his boyfriend felt the same way about spending time with him. It was when he was turned around in Taesung’s arms and was now facing the other man that he felt his heart flutter; no matter how many times they had seen each other, his boyfriend had always managed to have that effect on him and didn’t help that he looked extra handsome under the moonlight. Accepting compliments had always been difficult for him, even though he knew that the kind words were what other people genuinely·thought of him. No matter how sincere the compliments were, there was always something that he himself could find about himself that wasn’t satisfactory, that didn’t please him, and he knew that it was a habit that needed to change but it was a difficult journey to go on alone. Taesung was never going to be able to singlehandedly solve all of his problems or get rid of his insecurities, and he knew that he would never be able to do the same for the other, but just having a pair of arms to be able to fall back into when things became too much was enough for Theo to give learning to love himself more a try. Unable to suppress the grin that appeared on his face as his boyfriend used his birth name, he happily allowed his face to be covered with kisses, making the most of the attention because he didn’t know when he would be able to see Taesung next.·“Was your baby boy beautiful even when wearing those ugly board shorts?” He laughed, hands resting on the elder’s broad shoulders.·“I can’t wait to see you wear them, fashion enthusiast Ahn Taesung wearing board shorts? A once in a lifetime opportunity, I can’t miss it.”·

Taesung reckoned there was no need for him to correct the younger man’s affirmation for there were definitely a lot of people that had been victims to Taesung’s sleaziness. Most of them he barely paid any mind any longer, were mindless one night stands whose faces had blended into blurry memories Tae often threw to the back of his mind. The only person who mattered to him at that moment was the boy standing in front of him. He truly had a bad, bad past with relationships, always managing to screw everything up in a way, and Tae had believed getting into a new one which shared similar issues as the first one he ruined would just send him into a never ending terrified state of mind. However, he had realized that it was easy, being in a relationship with Theo. Sure, it wasn’t perfect and completely without issues, but it didn’t strike him as something he had to struggle over. Fight for, yes completely. But not suffer because. The compliments rolled out of his tongue with ease, tender words slipping away as if they were always meant to be given to the younger male and Taesung found reassurance in knowing that Theo thrived because of it and wouldn’t hesitate to say them right back to him. “ My baby boy would be beautiful wearing anything, even those hideous Crocs, ” Taesung pointed out, mouth still brushing against every inch of Theo’s face. A mischievous smile painted his face as he pressed lips against his boyfriend’s ear. “ I do prefer you without any clothes on, but you know – it’s always a pretty view with you, ” he punctuated the statement with a kiss to the other’s jaw, drawing back and running a hand through his hair. A laugh was pulled out of him at Theo’s words, Taesung shaking his head at the thought of the ridiculous sight of him wearing board shorts. “ I’m going to look terrible. I can’t believe they are doing this to me. I’d rather wear jeans than board shorts, but alas. ”

outside of preforming, nabi was excited to do her other task for the festival. like being able to be a rap mentor. she hadn’t really taught anyone before but she was ready to try. and she got word that she would be paired with a member from decipher. by the time she got to the class room and opened the doors, her partner for the day was already inside and talking to the students.

there was silence when she walked into the room but she didn’t let that stop her. she took a spot next to her sunbae and bowed towards her sunbae before she introduced herself. “hello everyone, i’m silhouette’s nami! i can’t wait to work with you.”

the excitement for the task ahead was diminished by the nerves that taesung felt crawling under his skin. he had never had an issue with teaching, or public speaking – on the contrary, he even went as far as believing that he had quite a gift for both. it didn’t mean it was any easier, being put in a situation where he had to mentor people in a skill that taesung himself still wasn’t completely confident in. he knew, however, that he couldn’t show his nervousness otherwise the students wouldn’t let him live, would make it an even harder mission for him.

he arrived first, greeting everybody with a bow, a smile and an introduction. it wasn’t long until he was joined by silhouette’s main rapper and he threw her a smile as well. he had never had the pleasure of working with any of the group’s members and taesung looked forward to it. “ hi everybody, i’m decipher’s taesung, it’s great to be here. as an ice breaking activity i think it’d be nice to see each of you introducing yourselves with a freestyle? ”

yunhee automatically freezes at the dreaded question. she fights the urge to look for her manager, not wanting to make it painfully obvious she’s nervous; on one end, the man next to her could be a fan or anti and on the other, it could be someone from her past. either way, her only option is to be awkward and cheesy. “all of this is starting to sound like those cliche pick up lines they use in the movies.” she giggles, her head still down. however their height difference is huge which gives her a chance to peek up at him without showing her own face. unee muffles a laugh when she notices its neither of her assumptions. shes embarrassed now. “oh my god.” she immediately bows to him, holding back her nervous laugh. “I-I hope I didn’t offend you. Manager oppa left me alone for once and I didn’t want to mess it up.” 

taesung could logically understand why the girl would quickly jump into the conclusion of the man hitting on her, but it doesn’t sound any less absurd in his head. there was a day when maybe he’d have tried to do that, high off his ass trying to get into anyone’s pants. but now? as cliché as it might sound, there’s really one person’s pants he’d be interested in getting into, not to mention his very late acceptance of his sexuality not being what he spent so long believing it was. still – none of that were things he could bring it up to the girl, familiar or not, for the last thing taesung needs is for rumors to spread. even in his stoned state he’s not a completely reckless person. he’s saved from having to acknowledge her words when recognition seems to dawn on her and taesung has to sink his teeth into his lower lip to prevent a chuckle from escaping. “ that’s okay, you don’t have to apologize or bow to me – we’re both here having fun aren’t we? ” the man leans forward so they can speak without raised voices and the possibility of drawing attention to the two of them. “ i’d actually prefer if people didn’t recognize me and all. though since you brought up a manager – you’re in that new group, yeah? femme fatale? ”

He really wasn’t sure what that student was trying to prove to him. Sure it was nice to have confidence, but he could clearly see that student was not very good in rapping. There were ways to improve and Junsu did give some tip and advice, but who knows if that student was going to take it or not. He’s guessing they wouldn’t because they couldn’t handle all the criticism that he gave them. But, Junsu only wanted to help them out if they decide to go on the career as a rapper. He knows that it’ll be a tough world for that student if they thought they could make it. 

Junsu understands that his rapping skills was above average, but he doesn’t go on a brag about it. He just had his own style and ways of rapping compared to others. Every rapper had their own style when it came to rap. “I was just guessing they were confident with their rapping skills, but they were a little too overconfident since they thought their raps were better than mine.” That was how he took the situation anyways. Having overconfidence could lead to one’s downfall. “It’s not just the rap line that helped with Origin’s popularity. All the members have contributed to the group’s popularity. Anyways, I was curious when they told me they were a better rapper than me and wanted to see if that was true. It was nice seeing that confidence, but they were too overconfident. There’s a lot they need to work on if they do wish to be a rapper.” 

Taesung knew he’d struggle in case he was faced with the same issue the younger man had for the sole fact that he didn’t truly have an amazing reputation for his rap. As a main rapper, he could definitely deliver… something, but it wasn’t until a couple of years before that Taesung had genuinely put more effort into delivering a quality that could at least be considered a couple levels above your typical idol rapper. No matter how much he tried, however, people still wouldn’t take him as seriously when it came to that – it was of no importance that the man had absurd musical knowledge because people would still claim he had no bars, and there wasn’t much he could do about that. When confronted, Taesung knew he’d recoil and not know exactly how to approach the situation, so he applauded Junsu for at least managing to keep himself mostly unbothered.

“ He should’ve at least been more appreciative of the fact that you took some time off your very busy schedule to help people out with it, ” Taesung knew that Origin’s life was far from being easy, especially because of his friendship with Yejun that made him aware of how much the boys had to go through and how many schedules they had in a week. “ And if he didn’t want to be corrected by someone who knows better than him, he shouldn’t have signed up for doing the mentoring anyways. I think you were in the right to put him in his place a bit, ” he offered the younger man a smile. “ I’m so not looking forward to being in your spot. I doubt it’s going to be any easier for me than it was for you. ”
