As much as she tried to remain positive and keep herself from immersing herself in negativity, she couldn’t help but feel impatient. Sojung just wanted it all to be over with. She had been stuck in dance practice with her group members since early that morning, and it was already bleeding into the hours of the evening. Almost twelve full hours of dancing and rehashing old routines was really starting to get to her. Or, it had already gotten to her and she was just beginning to care less and less. “They could have at least let us perform Joker too,” she murmured under her breath as she approached Yena and slumped against the wall nearest to her, huffing out a heavy sigh. “Want to come over when we leave here? I’ve got wine at my place.”

eunbyulfmd:
“Aish, it’s so hard to tell some men anything though — you can scream and shout and its like they have cotton in their ears or something,” she adds, rolling her eyes jokingly. The conversation between them was light, airy even, and it was almost always like this in Sojung’s company. Eunbyul relished these moments where they were just two women who had lots to gossip about and nothing more. This friendship was relaxing, and there were no airs to put on here. Countless nights have been spent like this, one of Eunbyul’s arms resting on the couch, its respective hand resting on the nape of her neck and her legs folded in front of her. “The usual, you know? Getting ready for the comeback, but I did have a short break where I was able to spend a weekend back in Busan with my family. My eomma is a handful, but it was still nice to see them; and as for the comeback, I’m pretty excited about it. I had a lot of fun with filming, made me feel as if I was in a play again,” it’s so easy to ramble around her eonnie.
“As much as I love a good man bashing session, we have to admit that there are things that men are good for,” Sojung murmured after a few chuckles escaped her bare lips, before her wine glass touched her lips for the umpteenth time that night. “Like.. wait, give me a second to think.” She pretended to think for a moment, before snapping her fingers. “Paying for meals! I know chivalry died a little while ago, but at least some traditions haven’t.” She was more than capable of paying for her own meals, had been for a few years now, but would she ever turn down free food? Especially when it was funded by a man? Definitely not. She absentmindedly brushed a few strands of her out of her face while Eunbyul spoke, listening to her rather intently. “I’m so happy to hear that. Has the date been set for the release?” She smiled at her excitement, a fond look in her eyes. It was nice to see someone still excited about idol life. She remembered when that was her, all those years ago. “How’s your family? Are they doing well?”

LEE SOJUNG HEADCANONS ☛ IDOL EDITION (QUESTIONS #1-30)
+ Day One: Introduce your muse. Are they solo or in a group? What is their position in the group? Consider this day the day for writing the basics.
Lee Sojung was born on June 2nd, 1990. She was born and raised in Busan, South Korea. He’s a member of Dimensions’ six-member girl group, Gal.actic. Her position is that of lead rapper, lead dancer and vocal in the group.
+ Day Two: Talk about your muse’s childhood. Where did they grow up? Did they have any dream jobs besides being an idol? When did they realize they wanted to be an idol?
Sojung grew up in Busan, the eldest of her parents’ children. From a young age, she knew that her dream job would be whatever job would support her financially for the rest of her life. She was in school and majoring in engineering before she became a trainee, so she most likely would’ve done something in that field. She didn’t realize she wanted to be an idol until the opportunity was presented to her.
+ Day Three: Take us back to when your muse was either recruited or auditioned to become an idol. How did that go? How did they feel getting up on stage for recruiters? If your muse could give their younger selves advice before the audition, what would they say?
Sojung’s audition with Dimensions was mainly carried by her physical appearance. She’s by no means a talented vocalist and she had to build up her dancing and rapping skills from scratch, but she was pretty enough and her voice was passable enough for her to get by. She was nervous, obviously, but she knew that if she pulled it off, the end result could be great, so she went through with it. Present day Sojung would tell past Sojung to turn around and go back home.
+ Day Four: Remember the trainee days? What are some of your muse’s memories of being a trainee? How long were they a trainee? Were they worried about potentially not making a debut? Talk about any challenges they might have encountered.
Sojung was a trainee for about a year and a half. She doesn’t really think back on her days as a trainee that often, mostly because she finds them bittersweet. Bitter because she wishes she never damned herself to idol life, but sweet because of how innocent, excited and ready to take on the world she was. She wishes she had that same mentality. One of her most vivid memories is being scolded by a trainer for not singing properly. It stands out to her because it was one of the moments that made her believe that she could never learn how to sing. At the beginning, she had hopes of improving her vocals, but after being torn down so much, she decided to focus on rapping and dancing. She didn’t have time to worry about not debuting because she was only a trainee for a short amount of time.
+ Day Five: Recall your muse’s debut. What was the song they debuted with? How did it feel performing for the first time on stage as an idol? Feel free to bring up their thoughts about the concept, choreography, lyrics, music video, or other components.
Gal.actic debuted in 2011 with Supa Dupa Diva, which was a fun, pop song. Sojung had fun with it, just like she did with their first few releases. Back then, performing high energy songs was enjoyable for her. Her first time on stage was nerve wracking, but she ended up powering through it and putting on a good performance for a newly debuted rookie idol.
+ Day Six: What concept does your muse think they can pull off best? Cutesy? Manly? Sexy? What concept do they have a hard time pulling off? What kind of concept would they want to do at some point?
Even though she hates to admit it, sexy concepts are her thing. She has the look and vibe for it, and it’s very easy for her to meld into the songs that they’re given when they do concepts that fall more towards the sexy side of things. Now that she’s older, she has more trouble pulling off cute concepts. She’s just a tired old hag and that doesn’t translate well with cute concepts. She would love to try a retro concept, or maybe a concept like Element or Lucid’s dark concept.
+ Day Seven: Which era is your muse’s favorite in their career? Why is it their favorite (think concept, promotions, choreography, etc.)? If your muse has recently debuted, talk about what they would want to do for their next comeback.
Ironically, even though she receives a lot of hate for how well she does sexy concepts, her favorite era from Gal.actic is one of their sexiest - Joker. She just really loves that song, and even though the choreography is explicit, it’s fun and she has fun performing it.
+ Day Eight: Talk about your muse’s strengths and weaknesses as an idol. Feel free to discuss their own personal thoughts regarding these components. Think of qualities such as vocals, dancing, visuals, acting skills, and variety show skills, for example.
Sojung personally believes her strengths lie in her visuals, acting skills, dancing and variety. She knows that she’s beautiful, she’s been told that before and she doesn’t lack self esteem. Her acting is good enough to get her an acting award, so she considers that a strength. She’s a good dancer, above average for idol dances, but not outstanding, and she’s decent when it comes to variety shows as well. Singing and rapping (despite her lead rapper position), are not her strong suits. She’s never been a vocalist, and her rapping is more so just talk singing in most of their songs. She knows this, and doesn’t shy away from these facts.
+ Day Nine: What is your muse’s fashion style? Talk about what kind of clothes they love to wear. To them, what is the essential thing to have in their closet? What is their favorite outfit?
Sojung has a feminine sense of style. She likes to dress in form fitting clothing and tends to wear heels more often than not. She also has a habit of buying men’s clothes (like shirts) and wearing them as dresses, or styling them to fit her body. An essential must have in her closet is a leather jacket, for sure. This is her favorite outfit.
+ Day Ten: Talk about your muse’s three closest friends. How did they meet? How long have they known each other? What do they love most about their friends?
Jiah, Ash and Hanjae are three of her closest friends, although not her only closest friends. They all met after Sojung’s debut in the idol world, and they’ve all known each other for quite a few years. Jiah and Sojung have known each other the longest, following by Ash and Sojung and Hanjae and Sojung. She loves how comfortable she feels with them and how she feels like she can tell them anything.
+ Day Eleven: Has your muse had any scandals? How have these scandals affected your muse as an idol or as a person? If your muse has not had any scandals, talk about their views on scandals. Is all publicity good publicity?
She’s had attitude scandals before, although nothing too big. A lot of her scandals stem from the fact that people notice and recognize her lack of effort in her idol activities. They’ve affected her pretty negatively in the sense that she doesn’t interact on social media and with fans as much as she used to.
+ Day Twelve: If your muse is in a group, what are the fun things about promoting with other members? What do they love about being in a group? What do they love about their members? If your muse is a solo artist, what are their thoughts on promoting alone? What do they love about being solo?
The only thing that Sojung likes about being in a group is being with her members. Most of them have become like family over the years, and she loves them. She believes that promoting with other members is more fun because there are people there to distract you from the actual work you have to do.
+ Day Thirteen: For the muses in a group, what are the challenges of being one of several people in a group? Have there been any troubles that have come along with being in a group environment and times they wish they were alone? For the solo artist muses, have you ever felt lonely promoting alone? Do you ever wish that you were in a group instead?
Challenges would include trying to get attention. If Sojung were more invested in being an idol, she would definitely find it a little irritating how hard it is to stand out amongst a group of people. She does tend to want her space from time to time, especially when they were living in a dorm, and that led to a few disagreements, but nothing too heavy.
+ Day Fourteen: If your muse is in a group, how do you think they would have fared had they had a solo career instead? What kind of concept would they have? If your muse is a solo artist, how do you think they would have fared if they were in an idol group? What position of the group do you think they would have?
Sojung wouldn’t have faired well as a solo artist. She would have definitely buckled under the pressure, especially because she feels as though if she were solo, Dimensions would have given her a sexy concept, which would only add fuel to the fire.
+ Day Fifteen: Who does your muse look up to in the industry? Why do they look up to this person?
If she had to look up to anyone in the industry, it would probably be BEE. Mostly because they’re a girl group who has been around for longer than her own group and they can still top the charts.
+ Day Sixteen: If your muse could do a special stage with another artist or idol group, who would it be and why? What song would they perform?
She would love to perform with her hoobaenims, Lucid. She loves their music, and she would want to perform You and I with them because it’s her favorite title track from the group.
+ Day Seventeen: How would your muse fare in a variety show? If your muse could appear on any variety show, which variety would it be and why? If you don’t have a lot of knowledge of variety shows, talk about what kind of variety show they would go on.
She would fare pretty well on a variety show, and she has before. It’s all about acting, which she’s pretty good at. If she could appear on any variety show, it would probably be Hello Counselor. She loves watching the show, and she feels like she could give good advice to the people who come in with their problems.
+ Day Eighteen: What entertainment agency is your muse a part of? What do they think of other groups and artists that are in the same agency as them? Which labelmates do they get along with the most, excluding group members?
Sojung is under Dimensions Entertainment and has been ever since 2009. She thinks that the other groups and artists are talented, and listens to a fair bit of their music, especially Lucid and Alien. Apart from her group members, she’s close with Yena, Woori and Jaein.
+ Day Nineteen: Is there anything besides idol activities that your muse would want to do? Would they want to take their hand at hosting a variety show or act in a television show or drama? Would they want to try out modeling or a musical? If they have done things such as these, talk about their thoughts toward these things.
Acting! Sojung was bitten by the acting bug in 2014 and she’s wanted to put absolutely all of her time and effort into her acting. She hasn’t acted in nearly as many things as she would have liked, and she’s always looking for more acting opportunities. She really vibes with acting because it gives her the opportunity to step into someone else’s shoes and stop being herself, if only for a short amount of time.
+ Day Twenty: If your muse was able to be a part of a supergroup that comprised of current idols, who would they want to be in the same group and why? What kind of concept would this group have? How do you think the group would do in terms of popularity?
Leader, Main Vocalist - Lyna Lead Vocalist - Jiah Main Rapper, Lead Dancer - Silhouette’s Main Rapper, Lead Dancer Lead Dancer, Vocalist, Rapper - Sojung Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Vocalist, Maknae - Minhee
She would give them a concept similar to BEE. Sexy, classy and mature. Not extremely sexy or controversial though. The group would do pretty good in terms of popularity because they would have strong vocalists, good dancers, great rappers and they’re all beautiful.
+ Day Twenty-One: How does your muse feel about their fans? How do they feel about sasaeng fans? How would they handle a situation in which they were faced with obsessive fans that followed them or invaded their privacy? If they’ve had problems with sasaeng fans before, how did they feel about it?
Sojung used to love Gal.actic’s fans, and on some level she still does. But they’ve gotten creepier and creepier with each passing year, and a lot of the time, they just make her uncomfortable now. She’s never had a saesang fan thankfully, and she hopes that she never will. She hates the idea of them though. If she were faced with that situation, she would probably have no idea how to react and would depend on her manager to help her through it.
+ Day Twenty-Two: Talk about your muse’s goals that they have for their group or themselves if they are a solo artist. Where would they want to promote if given the chance? Do they want to do a solo album at one point? This can be any sort of professional goal.
A career as a solo artist is the furthest thing from Sojung’s mind, and the only goal she has in mind for Gal.actic is a quick and swift disbandment.
+ Day Twenty-Three: What is your muse’s thoughts on being an idol and dating? Are they against dating? Have they ever been in a relationship after debuting? If so, talk about the challenges that have come along with dating. If they aren’t dating, would they want to date?
Sojung hates the stigma behind dating as an idol. She thinks that it’s inhumane and forces the idol to dedicate parts of their lives to fans that don’t deserve them. She’s been in relationships since debuting and they were difficult relationships to maintain because of the privacy that needed to be kept and differing work schedules.
+ Day Twenty-Four: Who is your muse’s ideal type? Why is this person their ideal type?
In the idol industry, her ideal type would be BI Rain. She thinks that he’s very talented and handsome and puts out good music, not to mention he just seems like a sweet and genuine man.
+ Day Twenty-Five: What does your muse want to be remembered for in the idol world? Do they want to be remembered for their vocal prowess? Their image? Their dancing skills? Their scandals?
She doesn’t want to be remembered in the idol world, she wants to make a name for herself as an actress and be remembered that way.
+ Day Twenty-Six: Does your muse ever regret becoming an idol? Do they ever think about what they would be doing instead if they lived a normal life? If they could go back in time, would they do everything all over again? Or would they end up doing something else?
All the time. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t wish she could turn back the clock and stop herself from ever auditioning for Dimensions Entertainment. She thinks about what could have been every once in a blue moon, but she tries her damnedest not to. If she could go back, she would have stayed in school.
+ Day Twenty-Seven: After working hard on promotions, your muse is given the chance to take a two week vacation anywhere in the world at any time they want, with nobody bothering them. Where would they go and when? Why would they want to take their vacation there? If they had the opportunity to bring three other people, who would they bring?
Bora-Bora. It just seems like such a peaceful place, she just wants to lay on the beach and forget all about her cares and worries. She’d love to go during the winter, so she could enjoy some warmth away from home. If she could bring three people, they’d be Jiah, Ash and Hanjae.
+ Day Twenty-Eight: Talk about your muse’s low point in life. Why was this a low point in their life? What kind of challenges did they face and how did they feel about this? Were they able to overcome it? If it is still ongoing, are they working on overcoming these challenges?
Sojung’s lowest point in life would have been when she first started getting hate from fans and netizens. It was her lowest point because she’d never been through anything like that, and she felt like the entire world was against her and that no one really understood. She slowly overcame it, for the most part, but venting to friends and just growing used to the hate.
+ Day Twenty-Nine: Talk about your muse’s most meaningful moment as an idol. This is what they feel so far is the highest point in their life and where they’ve never been happier. Recall the memory and describe it; what happened and how did they feel?
Her most meaningful moment as an idol would be when she was approached by a young woman, probably around twenty-one or twenty-two, who told her that she was a big fan and that she loved Gal.actic and how bold and confident they were. She told her that they helped her grow confidence in herself, and that really touched Sojung’s heart. It touched her because if she didn’t get anything positive out of Gal.actic, at least someone else does.
+ Day Thirty: Think about your muse’s life down the road. Where would they be and what would they be doing? Would they still be in the entertainment industry? Would they settle down and have a family?
Long after Gal.actic’s disbandment, Sojung will still be acting. She knows that sometime in the future, within the next few years actually, she should start considering beginning a family, but that’s not one of her main goals right now.

eunbyulfmd:
The first time Eunbyul drank was…horrible; she had no inkling of a tolerance, the taste was disastrous, and the hangover that followed…well, Eunbyul could care less about it. She’s come to discover that she’s a lightweight, and while the running joke is that she has much more fun with much less alcohol, she’s also afraid of being that person to make a fool of themselves half a drink later. Sojung-eonnie ( thankfully ) had decided to be Eunbyul’s drinking buddy, and while the blonde didn’t want Sojung to feel like the babysitter in the duo, Eunbyul had convinced herself that this would be mutually beneficial — so far, she hopes it had been. The evenings spent on her eonnie’s couch, have been a calming sort of fun, and Eunbyul’s even becoming accustomed to the taste of wine. She takes a sip of the wine in her glass, and proceeds to laugh at Sojung’s words, “I’m starting to think that some men have convinced themselves that we don’t know,” she says with a shrug, “the ego’s so so big, I think they’re trying to overcompensate, eonnie.”
“If only they realized that overcompensation makes them more unattractive that whatever they were overcompensating for ever could.” She chuckled from behind the rim of her wine glass, shaking her head a little bit as she looked at the younger woman in front of her. They weren’t too far apart in terms of age, just six years, but Sojung had experienced a lot in her career that made her feel so much older. When she looked at Eunbyul, she saw one of the few people that she wanted to protect from being tainted by the industry - if they hadn’t already been. If they had, then she wanted to be a shoulder there for them to lean on when things got to be too rough. She leaned against the arm of the couch, pulling up her legs and tucking them underneath herself. “Anyway, what have you been up to? I hear that Element has a comeback planned soon.”

Maybe supplying her hoobaenim with alcohol wasn’t really the most morally sound or correct decision on her part, but Eunbyul was an adult. She was way past the legal drinking age, which meant that she was fair game as a drinking buddy. And on top of that, she knew that it was probably for the best that she drank with her anyway. She knew that the younger girl didn’t exactly have the best tolerance for alcohol, so she had weened her away from bar hopping in exchange for a few glasses of wine in her apartment - a much safer and more private setting, for sure. She hummed as she poured a third glass of wine for the both of them, the alcohol helping loosen up her tongue a bit. “And I just for the life of me can’t understand why those men think that’s flattering?” She laughed at how ridiculous it was. “Do they really think we’ll be happy that they’re trying to take pictures for a low angle? Like we don’t know exactly what they’re trying to do?”

“If my manager could see me right now, he’d be busting a vein.” Sojung laughed at her own words, using her chopsticks to scoop up a large helping of ramen and shoveled it directly into her mouth. It was moments like those where she felt completely at ease and stress free. Her face void of makeup, pajamas on and hair up in a ponytail. It wasn’t that she hated getting dolled up and wearing fancy clothes, it was just that doing all of that only added extra pressure on her. The pressure to be perfect. The pressure that came with being an idol. And that just reminded her how much she hated her job. She shook her head of those thoughts, trying to focus back in on the moment - she was pigging out with one of her best friends. Her version of a great evening. “What have you been up to, Jiah? Tell unnie everything.”

Well guys, it’s ya boi Yaz back at it again with a new muse! Sojung’s a muse I’ve been formulating for a while, and she’s finally ready for the dash! Check out her profile page, biography and plots! If you wanna plot or anything, just drop a like and I’ll hit you up ASAP~
She’s the eldest of four children, born into a working class family on June 2nd, 1990. Sojung’s had to pretty much work for everything she’s ever had. From the age of twelve she had her first job - a babysitter for all the neighborhood kids.
Academics were very important to her growing up. In her eyes, they were her meal ticket to a much better, more financially stable life. She excelled in her schooling career. Never really the best, but she was damn near close.
She was a nineteen year old engineering student when she was approached by Dimensions a la the Sehun way~ a recruiter tracked her down all throughout a mall after she ran from him. When he finally caught up with her, he presented her with the opportunity to audition.
He handed her a business card, but in her eyes, all she could see was dollar signs. An idol? That meant being famous, right? And that meant having money? Sign her up.
Her parents didn’t agree with her decision to stop her schooling in favor of becoming a trainee, but she was stubborn and she had already made up her mind to go through with it.
She trained for about a year and a half, but the training was pretty intense. Way more intense than she expected it to be, and she gained a healthy respect for idols because she had to experience what they went through in order to debut.
Sojung debuted at the age of twenty-one - fresh faced and ready to take the industry by storm. Unfortunately, Gal.actic’s debut was rather lackluster, as were the releases following that. Of course, this upset Sojung. They weren’t taking off like she expected them to, and it was frustrating that their hard work wasn’t paying off.
Dimensions switching up their concept was the metaphorical nail in the coffin. It wasn’t that Sojung minded sexy concepts, she just didn’t like how Dimensions went about it and how forced it felt. She was able to embody the concept fairly well though, much to the chagrin of her god fearing parents who disowned her.
Being one of the elder members and being able to embody the sexy image well was what made her a target for online hate. She was one of the members who received a lot of backlash and harsh words. She was finally experiencing the slut shaming she had heard so much about in the industry, and it was just as humiliating as she heard it was.
She began gaining more attention from male fans, which was flattering at first, but quickly became uncomfortable for her. She didn’t like looking out into crowds and seeing leering grins instead of excited and happy smiles.
The opportunity to act came up in 2014, Dimensions effort to push the members and get them more public attention. What they weren’t expecting was for Sojung to get bitten by the acting bug.
From 2014 to 2019, she had supporting roles in four dramas (Emergency Couple, Ex-Girlfriend’s Club, Hwarang and VIP). Her role in her most recent drama (VIP) got her the most attention she’s gotten yet. She won an award for her supporting role performance, which only made her more confident in her potential to build an actual career from acting.
It soon became apparent that Sojung’s interests and loyalties lied with acting. She became less and less invested in Gal.actic’s schedules, which fans and netizens could pick up on. They started giving her even more hate for ‘not caring about her group’.
She just wants Gal.actic to disband at this point. She has nothing against the girls, but she would much rather focus on her acting career, which has proved to be more fruitful.
