Underrated Tovsto Falcon 210 Rocks!

The Tovsto Falcon 210 has to be one of the most underrated quad yet which is sad because this is one AMAZING quadcopter. This has to be one of my favorite race quadcopters so far. This is a little bit more on the pricier end of quads but I really think you get what you pay for and considering this is a true RTF which means it comes with everything you need from the quad to battery to charger and transmitter its an amazing deal! I think anyone would love this quad as a first race drone or addition to any collection. Beginners and more skilled pilots should be able to have plenty of fun with this one!

Initially I was a bit concerned as I thought it might be some failed attempt to copy the Walkera F210. Man was I wrong. This quad ROCKS! It comes with a 3s battery which is perfect. Its a great balance of power and performance. It is 4s capable but you may have to remove the canopy that covers the top part of the frame as I found the 3s to be a bit snug in the battery tray. If you have followed my channel you will know I have a sweet spot in my collection of multi-rotors for Walkera. This thing is truly a long lost brother of that craft. My guess is that this is some kind of affiliate company of Walkera or some one trying to copy another Chinese company badly. And copy they did but far from bad because they did it to Great! 

I really feel like the tune on this quadcopter is perfect at least for a beginner flyer like myself. Its rock solid and the fpv camera and vtx is really nice. I found it very easy to fly with and reception was rock solid. The camera suffers a bit from transitioning from bright to low light conditions which comes to no surprise from a cmos camera, but so does the Walkera. I really wish more companies would start to use ccd cameras. These are two things that are super important for anyone looking to fly fpv. This really makes for a great fpv experience. The switchable vtx from 25mw to 200mw is perfect as you can use 200 during races and 25 for close solo flying. I even think the vtx and camera setup on this Tovsto had better set up over the Walkera F210. When I fly this craft it doesn’t feel so top heavy which is something the Walkera suffers from especially in acro. Its a really well tuned and balanced which really help when your a new pilot like myself trying to learn Acro. 

The transmitter is another great feature in my book. Although it seems to be of proprietary design and receiver setup I love the Tx design. It has a very ergonomically  comfortable design. And everything is laid out so simple and easy for anyone to remember the functions quickly and safely when learning how to fly.I love the motor arm and disarm lock switch right in the center of the tx. Its so simple yet perfect again because its so straight forward and you don’t have to force your self to remember what all the toggle switches so like a normal hobby style tx. I think this is perfect for a beginner looking to give a try to fpv. I love the easy simple toggle switch for the three flight modes we come to love. Angle (Beginner self stabilizing no flips or rolls) ,Horizon (Intermediate, Allows flips and rolls but centers) ,Acro (expert,no stabilization, holds pitch full flips rolls ect.)

This quadcopter also has very nice leds on the rear and nice bright white on the front. This really helps learning to fly.. Beginners should always learn a craft flies first. Flying LOS (Line Of Sight) is a great way to learn and the leds help with orientation.

The frame seems very durable and the design is clean. The quad also has nice landing legs that give some protection to the motors that i really like. This helps avoid cutting the grass and getting dirt and debris in and on your craft. The quad is running nice 5045 tri blade props. And the motors are powered by unbranded 2204 2500kv brushless motors and awesome 30A BLHeli Esc’s a very nice combo.

Bottom Line

BUY IT: 

If you just want to fly, like yesterday! If your looking to spend a few hundred dollars and don’t have the time or knowledge to build your own quad or figure how to piece a quadcopter set on your own. Or if you simply don’t want to spend hours Upon hours online trying to figure out how to tune and piece a drone together buy this! Its an awesome tuned craft at an amazing price. Its durable and easy to fly. 3s battery power is plenty of Oomph and you can grow with this one as your pilot skills get better by throwing a 4s in it and you can expand and tune it to your liking via computer.

If you like tinkering, spending hours on diy projects and have a great knowledge for computers soldering and surfing the web for information scattered across the ocean of the world wide web ;). O and all the tools it takes to build a drone as well lol.
