Not all boyfriends will stop contacting exes though :( my ex was still in contact with all the girls hes dated (including girls he used to love) because they "still care for each other as friends" and couldn't seem to understand why that would upset me. guess thats why hes now an ex himself.

that is exactly why he is an ex. YO if your guy wont stop contacting an ex: RED FLAG. If you are over an ex, there is no need to continue to contact them. Your partner should respect the current relationship enough to not continue to have a relationship with their ex. end of story
