a frustrating thing is that everyone asks me how I'm going to pay for my apartment, yet it's cheaper than living in the dorms at my college which most students' parents pay for ?!? and I have three jobs, so there's that.

my dog is terrified of thunder and this evening has been an unpleasant one for him. he belongs to my parents and I'm watching him while they're away, and he doesn't seem to be as calmed by my presence as he is by theirs. prediction says more storms tomorrow, plus Friday's fireworks... anyone have tips on settling down a howling worried dog?

I go here every summer and am about to leave for this lovely place again on Monday! So strange to see it on tumblr. What a happy place.

on the one hand the city paints over, removes, and otherwise destroys as much street art and graffiti as it can. on the other, when it's convenient for them, they use it as marketing. so they know people love and work hard at this stuff that they prefer to call vandalism and criminal behavior rather than art. and they market to that knowledge at their convenience.
