what if JJ is just…not 100% real.

like,,, he’s not entirely human, he’s not fully here. like a ghost. he isn’t from our time, he isn’t supposed to be here. he is an anomaly right before our eyes.

like those “ghost captured on camera”, he is the most visible— most “normal”— on photo or video, but if you see him infront of you, he’s kinda…weird. he isn’t straight up see-through or anything, but there’s something ghostly to him and it always feels like he’ll disappear once you blink.

he isn’t mute like we know it, we just can’t hear him cause we aren’t supposed to.

JJ not being a 100% solid human being, makes it easier to mess with him. his appearance on video, or as we see him, can easily be… altered. and we already saw that happen, didn’t we?

Facing real transphobia is..

…getting yelled at by your own mother in the middle of a store because you wanted to buy a shirt from the men’s section.

…hearing “I have a daughter, not a son” every fucking time you want to do something that’s generally associated with men.

…hiding your men’s underwear and borrowed binder because if your family finds it you’re gonna be kicked out and they won’t help you out with renting a flat when you go to uni

…feeling awful everytime someone calls you “sir” in front of your family and they “correct” the person

…finally telling your mother that you have a girlfriend and she accepts it and then says “it’s okay to be a lesbian but people who play those dress-up shit freak me out”

…walking on the street in your hometown and being slapped in the face by a stranger who says “you could have been so pretty”

…finding a trans community website but your first experience is some creepy old guy messaging you about his fetishes

…presenting as the opposite of your birth gender and being so stressed out when the professor finds out you’re actually not a man and, from the look on his face, immediately knowing you won’t pass the oral exam

…a constant fear.
