Independent with confident
The prestigious event entitled Cinema Rehiyon. As I’ve watched it in University of Makati last time with my fellow classmates and Independent Film Producers and Production. Short film movies was presented and I’m really proud of them as a fellow Artist because at a young age, they were able to produce films with deep meanings and great plot with a twist.
I watched many short films during the event but perhaps the one that really caught my interest was the movie entitled ASU. Although its dialect is Ilonggo and was produce in Negros Occidental, the main actor and actress was really good. The two in one story with a really quite humorous twist. It tells something about love of the youth nowadays and many of my age can relate to this kind of stuff.
Every short film is recommended especially this one. If your curious why this short film entitled ASU, well its up to you to find out what this word really means and it will five quite a punch and a laughter. I’m very honored to introduce this local films made by aspiring young film producers of our time.

“Deep thoughts and emotions”
The depression that inhabit one’s soul that lingers and leave a scar for life.
A musical drama film directed by Alan Parker and animation by Gerald Scarfe. Screen play by the band named Pink Floyd vocalist and Roger waters, the bassist. This movie regain some “Cult Status” which means many followers who are really dedicated and passionate about this film. Less dialogue but more musical drama and surrealistic animations that is very interesting and with the intense emotion presents in the scenes.
I’ve watched many films in our class and in home but this movie is really something, although the story itself is quite confusing and some parts of the scenes are quite boring. It has a great impact on reality that anxiety and depression really is a serious matter. This is not recommended for everyone because of the presence of violence, sexual scenes and gore.
Indeed, creating a wall to the outside world. The movie used symbolic features with deep meaning and ties to every problems. One of a kind movie and if your curious about it, then you better watch it.

Culture Shock
Have you ever feel bad or discomfort against some beliefs and culture of another religion or country? The 1991 Chinese film drama directed by Zhang Yimou and the setting was during the Warlord Era in Northern China, The Shanxi province.
A story of an innocent girl who became the 4th concubine under a rich lord. This movie can be rated us SPG because of the presence of violence and the twisted mind of the main characters in the movie and the downside of that time particularly in the treatment of women. The film portrays the reality of culture in other country and religion and its not acceptable by the laws of heaven. Although bad things happen in movie, It was really great and the actors and actresses was really good too.
A film that is worth recommending for adults and students who love to learn the culture of other country with 125 minutes of time. Enjoy and expect twist and remember, there are always two sides in any story

“Don’t underestimate each others capability”
Most of us can be judgmental and its really a bad habit. Judging some people because they lacked formal education, because they are poor and live on the slum area or simply because we don’t like them. We don’t know their whole personality and what they've been struggling to. These are things I’ve learned after watching this movie. British film by Danny Boyle and the setting was set on India.
The story of a boy who lives in the Juhu slums in Mumbai, India together with his brother and mother. He will become a player in the Indian version TV show Who wants to be a Millionaire and its up to you to find out what really happen in the story. A really good sense of humor happenings but i guess its not recommended for everyone underage because of the presence of violence and drugs. Its really good movie because it tackles the negative and reality happening in the society. One of the great movies i had watched and got to my favorite list to must watch movies. I hope you watch and enjoy this movie until the epilogue.

Discovery, Hope and Journey
A heartwarming movie entitled Departures is a 2008 drama film Japanese movie also known as Okuribito means “one who sends off” directed by Yojiro Takita. The story centered on a man who lost something, socially rejected by everyone, but gains in return. A very admirable film and we can really learn something about hope, love and principles that is worth believing for.
Unexpected twist in the protagonist life as a worker and it pack quite a humor for me. Recommended to everyone and its really worth of time. Mixed emotions especially the overwhelming love of the family that is presented in the movie. Not that rare in the overall story but the twists, actors and actresses was very good. Respect for everyone, if you have passion for anything, just pursue it as long as your happy and don’t judge a person’s whole identity base on what you see, something I’ve learned after watching and its up to you to find out whether is it really a good movie or not. Enjoy!

135 minutes time scale and its really worth to watch. Recommended for the great story and plot. Seems boring but don’t judge it unless you watch it till the end.

Realization
The movie entitled Amores Perros written by Guillermo Arriaga and directed by Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu means Love’s a Bitch. Mexican Anthology film with three different stories in one movie. The story revolves around a teenager, a model and an old man. The plot and other scenarios linked together in many different ways and its up to you to find out.
158 minutes overall and its a pretty long movie but the story itself will catch your interest and above all, you will feel all the emotions positive and negative for the main characters and their involvement in many things.
Not recommending for children because of the involvement of drugs, sex and violence but the movie and the cast itself is great. Many situations in the story that we can criticize but my attention was the violence against the dogs because I’m a pet lover. Drama, little bit of romance, slice of life, good sense of humor for me and realizations. Better watch it, appreciate it, recommend it and apply what you can learn about this movie. ENJOY!
