for all you indie cartoonists out there, from someone who studied this in college, under major figures in the underground movement: don’t freehand your text in comics. Just use the text tool. Like, even with hand-lettering in traditional media, there’s an entire toolkit worth of rulers dedicated to keeping your lettering consistent. Hand lettering is annoying and if you’re like me, you run the risk of people not being able to read what you wrote with your handwriting. we live in a time where lettering is the easiest thing in the world. just use the text tool
