having poor circulation is great because people will touch your hand and go 'oh! you're so cold!' and for a moment you get to experience what it's like to be a vampire in a romance novel

The active ingredient is a vasoconstrictor. Which like. Okay I’m not a doctor, but I DO work in medical research - specifically in a lab studying ocular bloodflow. Please don’t put vasoconstrictors in your eyes without an actual medical reason.
nothing makes me more pissed off than those commercials with the people with the super photoshopped eyes trying to sell you eye whitener. the beauty industry is really scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to come up with new things to make ppl self conscious of. fucking scleras??? be embarrassed about those????
#I don’t know how effective vasoconstrictor eye drops would be at affecting the retina or choroid#but we’re looking at medications that increase ocular BF specifically to see if they’ll help mitigate damage from glaucoma#and the literature supports that it may help#so conversely a vasoconstrictor may have detrimental effects if used longterm. Especially with regard to your optic nerve head#Again a topical ophthalmic drop may not actually be effective at permeating to the retina or choroid#but I certainly wouldn’t risk it unless I had a condition that required ophthalmic vasoconstrictors
