Right so while watching hp again I started wondering what is the magic system? Like I get as kids you got the want monitor thingy but what about when you're an adult? Surely there would be limits to when you use magic right?

Right so watching Harry Potter for umpteenth time this year and just realized a lot of things could have been avoided by using veritaserum. Whats the difference between north and south?

So listen up guys I have never laughed so hard while working customer service. So i work at a zoo and sell train tickets. This kid about 10 walks up to my window and I kid you not asks me why is it north and south? His mom and older sister start dying laughing. I was about to say what this mother said bless her. "Cuz north is north and south is south" she stopped looke around and then his sister said " east is east and west is west thats how it is." This poor kid was so confused and kept saying that makes no sense and i looked at him and said " well back in the olden days people told time by the sun and somehow that got us the directions. He was still asking what the difference is to his poor mom who looked as if she failed as a parent. "I have failed as a parent and there is no turning back with the generations LORD help us!"

(ETA: for those who might have been curious, I come down hard in the “lawful plotter” square, since my professional-writing habits became fully formed while I was doing animation work in the late 70s / early 80s, and at that point every piece of film work required an outline before it could be commissioned at the studio. I was already an outliner to begin with, so the habit set in hard and continues to this day [as it still needs to have done for film work. No one will pay you until they know for sure what you’re going to write. And God help you if you venture off-piste, as it were, when your producer’s co-production partners are expecting what appeared in the outline that made them put millions of bucks down on the table in the first place].))
