last year, while eating at a restaurant at a band trip, i was sitting at a table with ⭐ and a couple other students and we were all just kind of talking. at one point the conversation led to us describing our most embarrassing moments, and i confessed that i get embarrassed too easily and too often to have just one. a little while later, we noticed that there was a child at a table near us celebrating their birthday with their family and the staff started singing happy birthday to them. ⭐ looked at me and said "i bet you'd hate if something like that happened to you."

i was completely taken aback because i wasn't used to the feeling of people (much less an adult) listening to me and remembering those kinds of things. i think that was when i really realized how much i liked having him as a director? ever since then he's remembered how easily i tend to get in my own head about things and has been very patient and encouraging with me.

i was trying to text someone back and my phone was being super slow and i was already annoyed so i sighed really loudly at the exact moment 🌙 was walking out of his office and he went "(my name)!! why are you so grumpy? are you ok?" and when i didn't really answer he asked "do i need to beat someone up?" LOL he always says that when i'm upset and won't tell him what's wrong 🤧🤧

idk tbh.. i'd say it's just a harmless little crush and that i would never act on it, and also i do genuinely enjoy talking to them and just being friendly so i guess both

61. Has your TC ever made you cry? If yes, what did they do?

🌙: yes, i was stressed out over not being able to play a solo so i tried to get help from him with it and he sent me away and told me to just practice with a metronome 😭 he didn't mean to be rude or make me cry i was just having a bad day

⭐: yes also, we joke a lot and one day while teasing me he made the same kind of joke about my instrument that a lot of people make (one that kinda implies that it's boring, useless, etc) and at the time i just rolled my eyes and poked fun at him back but a couple days later i was thinking about it and got really frustrated that it felt like no one ever took my instrument seriously and started crying 😭 once again, he didn't mean to make me upset at all i was just in a bit of a mood. he's told me before that he does actually like my instrument and that he thinks it's important and that i'm a good musician so dw guys

💘Was is love at first sight, or did you take a while to like them? for the tc ask game

when i first saw 🌙 at the end of my 7th grade year i remember mostly being a little scared of him (he kept making eye contact with each of us individually as he talked to us and i was scared he recognized me or i was in trouble every time he did it to me 😭) and also sad our old directors were leaving, but by the time of my 8th grade year i realized he was a super nice dude and genuinely a great teacher. like there's genuinely nothing about him to be scared of. so i guess it took a little while

my first impression of ⭐ at the end of my 8th grade was that he looked very young, and that's kinda it. the first time i really talked to him was freshman year (last year) during marching band practice. i asked him a question and he either misunderstood me or didn't care because he didn't really answer it and just kept repeating the same thing so i was very frustrated 😭 so at first i actually didn't like him that much, but for some reason that i can't remember (maybe just proximity) we got way closer and now we talk and joke all the time LOL so he definitely also took me a while. he is a really nice person despite my first interaction with him
