How do you think Eobard would respond, inwardly and outwardly, to someone telling him they love for the first time (in a situation where he does have genuine feelings for them). Would he ever be able to say it back to somebody? Cause I agree with you that he does feel, but is generally pretty bad at expressing it or even really processing his own emotions so I wonder how he'd handle it.

On one hand, that level of emotional honesty is tough for him. However, in that kind of situation it might hit him in such unexpected way that he might immediately say he feels the same, the words just pouring out of him before he can even fully register them.

The biggest pitfall of him realizing he has actual feelings for someone is how he becomes hyper-aware that he has something real to loose if it goes wrong and is not reciprocated. It makes him vulnerable in a way that he’s nearly bitter about.

Honestly, hearing someone tell him that they love him would hit him with intense relief in a way.

It means he has less to lose than if he confessed his feelings and didn’t know what they felt. Once that uncertainty is taken out of the picture, at their confession, all of the pent up thoughts and feelings towards them would come tumbling out of him. 

He’d probably be silent at first, carefully reading their expression and studying them for a moment. They may even worry that he’s angry for a second, as he clenches his jaw and sucks in an audible breath. 

But right as they’re about to ask him to just say something, he moves quickly and cups their face with a sudden, deep, gentle kiss.

He’d rest his forehead against theirs and let his thoughts and come tumbling out, quiet and honest in a near desperate tone as he holds them close. 

That level of overt vulnerability may not last long on his part, but he knows what the two of them have is real. And that they feel the same.

A=Aftercare - What they do/act like after sex.

In the guise of Dr. Wells, he lets his tenderness show through more than he might otherwise.

He tells himself it’s part of the act, but really it isn’t. That’s just the way he reasons with himself and excuses the smile of fondness that finds his way across his lips. The line between who he is as Eobard Thawne and as Harrison Wells is blurred at best. His actions may appear uncaring and callous, but they’re really masking a thinly veiled desire to reclaim his already unsure sense of self as Eobard Thawne. However, this tends to slip away in a post-sex afterglow and his inhibitions are lowered enough that he shows a similar tenderness as he did as Harrison Wells. Of all the lies he had to tell, what developed between the two of you was not one of them.

B=Bondage - Are they into BDSM, and how far they’ll go if they have a green light.

Big yes. Mostly similar to other versions of him, but Eowells in particular thrives on control even more so than other versions. (If that’s even possible)As carefully as he’s played his cards in the 15 years he’s been stuck in the past, he’s all too aware of how fragile his control over the events around him is.

Years of uncertainty about his future and all of the possible consequences of his interventions in the timeline that were completely out of his control made him recognize the value he placed on the things within his power.

This transfers into the sexual in both subtle actions to almost over-the-top obvious symbolism. In a way, this is where he can take a break from playing relativelynice as Dr. Wells.  He’s more inclined to be disciplinary than other versions of himself.

As Eowells, he’s marginally less needy than other versions of himself, but he feels affection towards you with even more intensity, and is very protective. He genuinely wants you to succeed in whatever your drives or passions are, but he has the less savory tendency to make relationship and friendship calls foryou from a distance. This could range from subtle sabotage to quietly removingpeople who may mean you harm, or people flirting or attempting to date you.

X=X-Ray - How they look with their clothes off.

Definitely larger than average and well endowed. Not as large his original body’s, but thicker. Neatly groomed with a dusking hair on his chest and a lightly trimmed happy trail of darker hair.

Y=Yearning - How often they need to have sex.

He generally isn’t someone who feels sexual urges too often without a focus of interest. And he can usually shut out any sexual urges if he needs to accomplish a task.

But also his patterns of urges tend to change if he has a focal point of interest. Ordinarily, he didn’t waste much time with it, but with having you so close, quite often.

Headcanon for Eobard and a reader who is one of the Legends: He won't admit and won't tell you but he hates letting you go back to your team after you're together. He could make you stay, easily of course, but he wants you to chose it.

Yeeeeeeeees. lol on one hand, I feel like he would set out to do this, but tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if at one point hit a wall of frustration, and as the angry fast man child he is, he’d get very close to just throwing that out the window and just being like “How about…..you just chill here in this cozy cell for a bit until you decide to just stay here, and we can fall in love, demolish our enemies and be a hot power couple with the Spear of Destiny….romantic, right?”

 and the reader is just more annoyed than anything because they totally know he’s just having a mood that will pass, and is like “YOu’re making this really hard to justify why I like you so much you impulsive ass, jfc.”

But idk, half the fun of writing him for me is exploring how he’s brilliant, but low-key emotionally stunted when it comes to learning to deal with feelings in a reasonable way. He cares, but is a lot less patient than he thinks sometimes.

Eowells Headcanon Prompt

So this headcanon for Anon, turned into a proper near Drabble, but it is a sensitive topic so I at least wanted to tag it first for everyone.

Half fluff/Comfort/vengeful!protective!Eo

OOUFF, he’d be absolutely livid. To the point where he just becomes the sort of quiet that’s more menacing than you thought possible. But, it’s not directed towards you. A rare moment in which his character as Harrison Wells and as Eobard Thawne are perfectly aligned in a genuine desire to protect you, and to make whoever hurt you suffer.

And he wouldn’t be lying.

If he found out on his own by accident, or maybe suspicion, he wouldn’t make you say what happened or ask why you hadn’t said anything. He wouldn’t pry because you had already been through enough, but he would allow a certain gentleness to show through his subtle actions towards you. Routine greetings and questions of courtesy like, “how are you?” take on another level of sincerity, with a gentle touch on your arm and a lingering, concerned note to his gaze when you meet his eyes.

If you lived with them, he’d likely buy you your own apartment immediately, no questions asked. (If you two weren’t already about living with each other )

Once you were out of any immediate harm, he would plan out some way to not just kill your abuser, but make them properly suffer.

He would absolutely monologue to the abuser, make them admit what they had done, and then kill them. He might stage it so it seemed like the abuser abandoned the family of their own accord so you would not have to be subjected to the police questioning about a homicide that could only lead to more painful experiences. He wants to minimize additional damage and keep you safe.

You may even believe this story at first too, until a mysterious visit from a man in yellow. You were scared when he appeared, thinking it was part of your team’s efforts against him. But that feeling might turn into something very different as he’d simply say

“No one’s going to hurt you anymore. I promise you that.”

and suddenly you’re unsure what to think about the man in yellow anymore.

YES! Ok, so I wanted to say that your Eobard x Legend!Reader stuff gives me lowkey Killing Eve vibes. Two people one opposite sides with a connection and obsession they can't get away from. I LOVE it.

YASSSSSS that’s perfect! And I can definitely see it. I love the idea of the legends!reader being SUPER aware that he’s not a good person, and is almost bitter about being still super into him if that makes any sense.
