I love swimming so much because I can drop my human mask a little bit. The only downside is wet fur but thats a short term problem.

Reblog if you genuinely support asexuals
It terrifies me that there’s so much raging passion in the lgbt+ community that insist on marginalizing asexuals and implying that asexuals don’t deserve to have safe spaces. There’s still so much acephobia so I just wanna know which blogs are genuinely supportive and a safe space for asexuals

Many of my life problems could be solved if I could perch in a tree and preen my feathers in the woods.
A tree branch giving me species dysphoria was not on my bingo card for this year. Anywho hope you critters have a lovely day!

Otherlinks ARE alterhuman. They are as much as alterhuman as any other alterhuman.
"They don't have shifts" And many alterhumans don't have shifts too. And also they CAN have shifts. I have them and I'm an otherlink + my first ever alterhuman identity WAS otherlink.
Also, you're putting down every alterhuman who doesn't experience shifts. Remember, alterhumanity is laying outside of identity norms to say the least. Many alterhumans identify with/as something (ex. nonhuman animals, mythical creatures, ocs, fictional characters, objects, concepts, plants, and much more.) but that isn't the requirement to be alterhuman.

Unironically, "chat" is one of the best and most inclusive ways to address an audience/ group of people.

therian confusion/misinformation makes me irrationally angry.
just saw a tiktok of someone saying they would disown their child for identifying as an animal (weird thing to post by the way) and it just irked me.
all the comments were attempting to defend therians by saying things like, “i'm a therian and all of us know we're humans,” “only insane people truly believe they're animals,” and, “the only therians i've seen are teens and kids!” ...
hi! i'm an adult therian who fully believes that it's a canine. i'm not a human in any way. vague and blanket statements such as those shown above are extremely harmful to the community.
physical therians are valid. “insane” and “delusional” therians are valid. adult therians are valid.
respect those within your community, you're one of us. you are not better than us just because you accept being a human.

I've seen some critters worried abt this so I wanted to make a post about it:
Your current body's physicality might not match that of your kintype(s), and that's ok.
What do I mean by this? Well, I sometimes see people kinsidering a creature that's either endemic to very warm temperatures or cold temperatures, but they'll quickly dismiss the critter they're kinsidering since they don't like the hot/cold (imagine someone who's kinsidering a Snow Leopard but dismisses it because they don't enjoy cold temperatures). I've even seen alterhumans who have some kind of disability dismissing kintypes endemic to warm environments bc they can't personally handle heat.
And to that I say, do aquatic alterhumans dismiss their kintypes bc they can't breathe underwater? Do winged alterhumans dismiss their kintypes bc they can't fly? You will inevitably find parts of your kintype that don't match with what you can do physically, and that's completely ok.
That's not to say it's fine and that you shouldn't complain about it, not being able to match with some parts of the biology of your kintype(s) is one of the many woes of being an alterhuman and it can be very distressing, I'm just saying that not matching shouldn't cause you to dismiss potential kintypes because it is unfortunately inevitable, but on the bright side you're not alone in this and the world has developed many ways to circumvent some of these things (simple example, aforementioned snow leopard therian wearing a heavy fur coat to handle the cold, both allowing them to have fun in an environment their kintype is endemic too and maybe even recieve some euphoria from the feeling of the heavy fur coat)
Anyways, tldr, it's completely ok to not match the physicality of your kintype(s), and you're not alone <3
Feel free to comment/reblog with your own experiences with this sorta thing 🫂
Also in other news yes I haven't been active for a month but shhhhh moving is rly hectic ok. More posts soon I swear 🙏

I have been thinking back on my childhood and I find it so funny how most of my reasoning for wanting a loft bed was because 'other birds sleep high up and I'm a bird too'!
Sometimes I wonder how I didn't figure it out sooner. Anywho I hope all you lovely beings have a great day/night!

Ren Faire haul!! :3
Giant arctic fox tail (technically not a 'type, but close enough to my own sense of a tail to give euphoria), trinkets, rabbit named Scrunklemuffin, and a gift from @fl1ghtlessjay they saved from a trip to Hawaii (dubbed "Mittens" for its resemblance to @paws-and-mittens).
I love Ren Faires. And Jay. And Scrunklemuffin. And Mittens. :)
