I hate this fuckin website. A dive into ableism part 2 I guess.
———————————————//Stay out of system spaces and system terminology if you don’t have the disorder - this isn’t about ‘who’s valid and who’s not’ or ‘religious and spiritual beliefs’ being ‘real’ or whatever.
you’re not a system if you’re not traumatized. Youre kin. Just say you’re kin and go to those tags. You can’t pick and choose your alters.
The misinformation is very harmful to trauma victims by making everyone think that trauma symptoms are some kind of cute trait. No doctors or therapists will stand with you on this. No people who understand the struggles of trauma victims and the disorder will stand with you on this. Only people who were manipulated into thinking this endogenic spiel is real somehow will ‘validate’ your ableism. You either have osdd/DID (diagnosed or not) or you don’t have alters.
Is it that hard to understand that you need to quit romantacizing a disorder? They’re not fun. They’re not quirky. Stop spreading misinformation that whatever you and your friends like to experience is somehow ‘a system’.

everyone, cis and trans, having their pronouns in their bio actually helps trans people. if it's a normal thing, having your pronouns in your bio doesnt immediately out you as trans. if it's limited to trans people, which is dumb in my opinion, this doesn't happen. pronouns aren't a trans-exclusive thing
as an actual transgender person I fucking dispise when cis people put their pronouns in their bio. Like you already have the privilege of being cis so you don’t need to do that, it’s not something that needs to be normalized because guess what? BEING TRANS ISNT FUCKING NORMAL. Nobody wants to have to put their pronouns in their bio, and even if you are trans the entire point is to have people automatically perceive you as your actual gender instead of having to tell them, so if you really feel you need to specify your pronouns so that people call you the right thing that’s a huge sign you’re doing something wrong

what we think is that you require gender dysphoria - aka the disconnect and shit that comes with differing brain & body sex - to be transgender. that's it. no suffering, you dont have to hate yourself or anything, just have dysphoria. and you cant just have euphoria, if you have euphoria then obviously you had some kind of dysphoria to begin with.
hi transmeds i hope u learn to love and accept yourselves and your body soon and also maybe realize that hurting yourselves emotionally and sometimes physically just because your body doesn’t look how you want it to yet is not a requirement of being transgender LOVE U

oh no, how dare people have kids and date people. so aphobic and horrible /s
‘not an asexual thing’. try living a day in my shoes, walking around terrified of encountering sex everywhere i go. wherever i look, parents with children, people sucking each others’ faces. it makes me and millions of other aces out there feel really attacked.
I’m dead

Why are you an exclusionist. What do you GAIN from being an asshole to the most vulnerable members of our community
THE MOST VULNERABLE? Are you fucking kidding me? First and foremost, I’m not aphobic. ‘Being an asshole’ here is me saying that aro/ace isn’t inherently LGBT, but supporting people using the label otherwise? Nice logic, Einstein.
Do YOU understand how much inclusionism harms the LGBT community?
The amount of people who have posted anecdotes and pictures about their experience with LGBT groups, being unable to talk about their struggles with anything romance or sex based because the aro/aces are uncomfy unu is pretty telling in and of itself. Not to mention, the LGBT community is a community made to provide resources and safety for people who are lesbian, gay, bi, and/or trans. What resources do aro/aces need? We’ve been KILLED and MOCKED and TORTURED and HUMILIATED for YEARS, and aro/aces come to pride waving their flags saying, “let’s just eat cake lol”?? LGBT people try to be themselves at pride, and aro/aces screw up their noses and hiss in disgust like, “umm I’m ace/aro can you NOT kiss or hold hands in public? nothing against YOU lol I just hate everyone who does it”.
Besides, they’re demonizing same sex couples the SAME WAY homophobes do. Making them seem like “filthy allos”, driving home the narrative people think- “I can’t tell my kid about gay people” as if all same sex couples do is fuck 24/7 and are just dirty and sinful.
The aro/aces had their own community, but they wanted so badly to wedge themselves into our community and even drive us out. How, how, is not wanting to have intercourse or a relationship LGBT?
Aro/aces don’t face the same kinds of discrimination, either. It’s not oppression olympics, but you’re not going to be fired or kicked out of an apartment for something that should only be disclosed with you and your potential partner, or just you. Tell your boss you’re aro/ace. They’ll just give you a weird look, because why do they need to know your sex/romance life? There’s no status quo that requires you to fuck on demand unless you’re in a porno. But whereas LGBT people kind of HAVE to disclose our identities. Because if you’re seen with a same sex partner, or if you ask to be called by a different name and pronouns, and begin transitioning, a lot more people will discriminate against you. Sure, they’re not really supposed to, but that doesn’t mean they don’t. You may not get fired, but you will be treated like less of a human.
I am so fucking tired of inclusionism.
I am sick and fucking tired of it.
Don’t you dare paint my friends and I as some kind of meanie assholes for healthily gatekeeping our community.
Fuck off.

Hey, if you genuinely believe that men are trash, if you really think that men can’t love as deeply and as authentically as women, if you think that women are inherently better than men in any way, if you think men deserve any less love and compassion and kindness than women, or if you think that men should be excluded from body positivity and forms of support,
I’m really sorry you haven’t had good men and boys in your life. I’m sorry that something happened to you that made you believe these lies. I’m really sorry. But saying these things is untrue, hurtful, unkind, and cruel.
Boys and men can be as good and kind and loving and worthy as women. Full stop.

i rly dont like the mindset that all lgbt people want is to be “accepted” and that all out community is about it “inclusion”. no. we want access to trans health care. we want anti discrimination laws for housing and employment. we want marriage equality. we want to stop trans kids from being forced to go by their dead name at school. we want to abolish the gay/trans panic defense. we want to stop corrective rape. we want black trans women to stop being murdered. being “accepted” by cishets isnt the goal, and neither is being an all-inclusive club. i want to be able to live my life freely as an lgbt person. our community was created out of the need to survive. that has nothing to do with being “valid”.

When will y’all motherfuckers on tumblr realize that being “comfortable” with an identity/thing DOESN’T magically make said identity/thing harmless or okay.

god ive been doing gender dysphoria as my topic in my psych assignment and the way some articles, even recent ones, talk about trans people is just... so gross
like theres the typical "transsexual" and "transvestite" and a dysphoria-inducing amount of misgendering
and ive deadass seen the phrase "male-to-female transsexual conversion"
and saying that a straight trans man "refused to be a lesbian"
honestly the way trans people are talked about in academic shit is just disgusting
