FINAL EXAM PLAN
Soooo, I have decided that my workout for the final exam would be an Indie Pop theme, it is full of songs from artists na I wish could gain mainstream popularity just like other succesful musicians out there.
Here is my guide sheet:

Here are the songs and why I picked them:
Lucky Strike - Troye Sivan
So I choose this for my warm up song kasi I feel like sobrang fit nung beat nya sa warm-up stretch ko, it feels right sa mga stretching na ginagawa ko, plus yung progression nya, it made me ready sa mga next more vigorous na workouts
Ever Again - Robyn
This is one of the songs na hindi nakakasawa pakinggan. This is one of my fave songs of June 2020 and kahit one year later, hindk talaga ako nagsasawa sa kanya. The vibes makes me sooo happy, thats why gagamitin ko sya for the second warm-up koooo. This will be the sayaw warm-up naaaa.
Comme De Garcon - Rina Sawayama
The vibe was right, the swag was right, the attitude is right, this one is a perfect song for an aerobic workout! Plus, very dancey syaaaa so I guess this is easier gawan ng choreo because yung chord progression is very simpleeeee.
Gucci Vision - Queen Herby
Dahil my favorite workout from this class is the kickboxing, hindi pwedeng mawala na may isang song ako na dedicated lang for kickboxing! This new bop from the rapstress Qveen Herby is perfect for that, very high energy, high intensity, perfect for a high energy and high intensity dance workout!
Photo ID - Remi Wolf ft. Dominic Fike
So hindi itu pwedeng mawala since eto ang aking entry for the Happy Song challenge. Plus, positive yung reviews na nakuha ko from this dance kaya kailangan ko syang isama sa aking finals exams!
Soul Control - Jessie Ware
Because I'm aiming for a variety of sounds and also to show my versatility in dancing, miss Jessie Ware needs to be here. Dahil sa newest album nyang What's Your Pleasure, naging soooo into Disco music ako, so ininclude ko yung pinaka-dancey na song from the album (which is my favorite album of 2020).
Miss Jessie Ware saved my sanity last year during the start of the pandemic, Miss Jessie Ware will save my ass again for my PE.
Phone Numbers - Dominic Fike ft. Kenny Beats
Its the cooldown na so need na ng slower at more chill songs. At sino pa ba ang mas chichill bukod sa lodi kong si Dominic Fike?
Shadow - Kesha
Ang tumatak sa kin na remark ni Maam Tal for the cooldown song, bukod sa dapat ay nakakarelax at mabagal sya, merom din syang very very good vibes and good message para maeend natin ang warm up in a very peaceful and happy way.

So its the part 2 ng aming party party daaaaaay, same instructions just like last time, kaso the difference lang this time, is that, this is our last class na for this course :((((
After the party party, Ma'am Tal gave us the parting words na, and I can't explain yung nararamdaman ko. Its like, I dont want this class to end huhuhuhuhu it was so much fun tas everyone gives a lot of effort and energy talaga, everyone is generous kaya its fun to learn rito.
But I guess, good things have to end talaga :(

PARTY! PARTY! (Prelude to Farewell)
This is the second to the last synchronous session namin for this class this sem, and is there any other way to celebrate ang nalalapit na end sem than to make some partey parteyyy???
So the instructions ay ganito, magpeplay ng random music si Maam Tal, and then mag iispotlight sya ng isa sa mga nasa class. So yung nakaspotlight, they need to lead the class by creating steps na swak sa music. Eto na yata yung pinaka nakakakaba na sesh namin ever.
Lalo akong kinabahan mga mhie nung tinanong ako ni Maam Tal kung meron daw ba akong suggestion, I asked kung bakit, ako daw kasi yung una. Myghad the pressure! Sabi ko na lang sya na bahala mamili. Syempre kinakabahan ako, pero nung tumugtog yung Low, nawala ang kaba ko, at nakaisip agad ako ng steps dahil its MAH JAAAAAM!
The partey went weeeell! Tawang-Tawa ako nung pinoint-out ni Maam na everytime na may maiispotlight, may visible fear sa mukha namin pero eventually may maiisip din naman. Tsaka yung generic step! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA everytime may mawawalan ng maisip na step, may automatic side step + arm shuffle na ginagawa mga kaklase ko, and its soooo funny!

HAPPY SONG DAY 2
Henloooo! Its the second round ng aming paglead sa class with our Happy Song choreographies. I admit, medyo na-tempt aku mag-absent since tapos naman na ko, but ang scary kasi ni Ma'am Tal when it comes to mga ganun chz. Pero ayun, syempre bilang support sa ming friends na hindi pa nakakapag present, makikisayaw din ako today!
✨Week 11 Friday Session✨
There are some thought kahapon at saka nung isang araw na sana pala nag second day na lang ako kesa nug first day para sana mas napaghandaan ko pa yung dance ko, pero ok na rin ito, at least hindi ko sya inisip kahapon aat may iba pa kong gawaing nagawa. Plus, this session has some really good dances!
Macabeo - Get Me Bodied
Rate: 9/10
Remember my bias about main pop gurlies? It certainly applies here. Its, GET ME BODIED for pete's sake, its like, on the top of dance song pedestal, so it feels like an honor to have an icon, like Macabeo, to choose this song. In this household, we stan the kween bee. Kaso, by choosing a Beyonce song means a certain responsibility and the pressure to do the song justice. Upon knowing the song choice, I know 10 ang ibibigay kong rating kay Macabeo, kaso lang hindi ganun ka up to par ang kanyang mga steps. Its a Beyonce song! gusto ko wagwagan! but other than that, it was a good opening for today's session! hart hart!
Jasmine - You Can't Stop The Beat
Rate: 9/10
I really like it when miss Jasmine dances. Nakikita ko sa kanyang mga mata ang eagerness to be fit and also yung fun habang ginagawa ang mga workout. It was very evidetn sa performance na ito, yung enjoyment na meron sya, na-transfer sa aming mga gumagaya (di ko lang alam yung sa iba pero ako nag-enjoy ako). Plus, I have a very different bias for show tunes. I WAS SO GLAD someone finally danced to a show tune! My musical theatre heart is pumping with adrenaline. Infairness din kay miss JAsmien, very clean ang kanyang choreography and kahit sobrang haba nung song, di sya nakakaboring to a certain point.
Clarice - Hips Don't Lie
Rate: 9/10
So many 9s this session! Guys, finally, someone did a zumba choreography! And I'm so glad ginamit nya ang hit ng latina kween herself Shakiraaa! My bias for main pop gurlies from my childhood applies here kaya na- enjoy ko sya ng sobra, plus yung adrenaline pa from the two previous high intensity workouts, bongga diba. Plus, ang galing ni miss Clarice mag sakto ng steps sa music and lyrics, including the rap part so kudos to you miss Clarice!
Elle - Get Down
Rate: 7/10
I kinda like miss Elle's work, kaso just like miss Erika's work last session, mukha syang hiphop choreography than a hiphop-infused aerobic dance. It was fun to dance to (well, its an iconic song by the Backstreet Boys so its really fun to dane to talaga) kaso medyo mahirap sya sabayan kasi complicated ang mga steps. May repetitions naman, kaso it was just hard.
Gladys - Shut Up and Dance
Rate: 8/10
Another very nostalgic song for meeee, wala akong masabi sa dance na ito bukod sa its very fun to dance tooo, and malinis din ang choreo ni sis Gladys!
Benjamin - Naruto Soundtrack
Rate: 8/10 (But the song choice is 10/10)
Thanks boss benjamin. THANK YOU. Someone raised the flag for the anime stans. This is a breath of fresh air from all the commercial pops na sinayaw namin earlier tsaka nung wednesday. Halatang boss benj had such a good time while doing this!
Kaitleen - Hey Buddy
Rate: 7/10
Another kpop track in the house! Mukhang mababalik ako sa kpop phase ko sa dami ng mga kaklase kong kpop stans! This routine is very fuuun, malinis ang choreo kaso may parts na medyo confusing, tsaka it could use a little more energyyyy.
DJ - Too Good
Rate: 6/10
I super like the vibessssss, kaso lang medyo low energy. By the song choice alam kong makakavibes ko si Boss DJ, but the routine somehow lacks energy, but malinis naman ang choreography so that's a plus!
Katherine - Vintage
Rate: 8/10
This is my jam, yes, miss NIKI serving this bop is iconic, and miss Katherine is equally iconic for choosing this bop! Actually after talaga ng class (at nung class ko aftee this class) I streamed this song, coz I forgot na this is one of my faves before. As for miss Katherine's routine, it was soooo fun! Very doable and easy to follow through!
Kenneth - Live While Were Young
Rate N/A
Well, I think its criminal to give a rate sa sayaw ni boss Kenneth dahil hindi ko naman to nakita, hindi ko to nasayaw, kasi right after miss Katherine's dance, nagpaalam na ko kay Ma'am Tal dahil may pa-oral exam si Sir Bryan sa Theatre 104. Pero kung hihingian talaga ako ng rating, siguro it will all be based sa bias ko sa song choice. #OneDForevs

HAPPY SONG DAY 1!
Last week, we are asked to choreograph an aerobic dance piece with a song that makes us happy everytime we hear it. I am so much excited kasi we finally got to choreograph our own dances na, but at the same time, medyo kinabahan ako kasi, first, di ko agad napili yung kanta ko kasi andami kong happy song (it turned out to be Photo ID though) plus, this week, kami ang maglelead sa aming mga kaklase together with our dances *surprised pikachu face*
✨Week 11 Wednesday Session✨
Last week, bago mag dismiss si Ma'am Tal, I asked her a question kung paano ang arrangement namin bukas, sabi naman nya, its a surprise. But today, our class started with her asking us kung sino na yung gustong mauna, inaask nya na rin kung sino yung mga susunod dun sa nauna.
Medyo nagpanic ako kasi gusto ko today na magpresent, ayaw ko nang isipin pa ng isang buong araw pa bukas yung sayaw ko, eh kaso andami nang nagsasabi na today sila, edi more panic, but buti na lang nakahabol ako bilang last presenter sa session na ito, pang 10th lels (save the best for the last.)
So here is my ratings sa performances ng aking mga kaklase (mga guyth, wala itong personalan ha, mah rankings are only base sa inyong mga choreo so world peace tayo mga kapatid):
Erika - Finesse (Remix)
Rate: 7/10
This is a good dance to start our today's session. Finesse is such a very fun song to dance with, tsaka yung vibes, grabe the vibes, wala ka talagang magagawa, mapapasayaw ka talaga kapag narinig mo. kasso, the only comment I have with Miss Erika's work, is that it looks like a hip hop, contemporary choreography than an aerobic dance choreography. yung ibang steps pati, sobrang hirap sundan lalo na kung beginners, yung steps kasi halatang insipired nung official choreography (trust me, I know kung alin yung official choreo kasi I tried to study it nung nakita ko sa Bruno sumayaw sa Billboard Music Award. Its a good song to dance to, very dynamic and high energy, kaso kinda hard to follow.
Angelo - Who Would Think That Love?
Rate: 9/10
I'm not really familiar with the song, but its a good song to dance to also. very high energy si pareng Angelo. And yung hinahanap kong ease from the first dance, dito ko natanggpuan, yung steps ay umuulit and has variations. It has the basic steps of aerobics, kasama na rin yung mga leg and arm variations na tinuro ni Maam Tal sa min. Imma give brodie Angelo a 9!
Jewel - HELLO!
Rate: 7/10
Another unfamiliar K-Pop song, however very dancey din sya. tulad ni Angelo, meron din namang basic steps si Miss Jewel sa choreo nya, meron ding variations and repetitons. Kaso ang naging problema ko lang sa kanya, medyo hindi gaun kataas yung energy, plus medyo magulo yung ibang steps so medyo mahirap sundan. But other than that, I had so much fun naman.
Missy - Temporary Fix
Rate: 6/10
We experienced the first connection problems during miss Missy's performance, nawala yung music nya, nag-lag sya, tas ilang beses din sya nagfreeze. Di ko na-enjoy yung performance masyado, but its not really her fault. Sa choreography naman nya, like miss Jewel, the effort to include basic steps and variations are there, kaso medyo low-energy yung performance.
Hana - Tik Tok
Rate: 8/10
So, for miss Hana's performance, nag-enjoy naman ako, I had fun because may bias ako sa song choice. May bias talaga ako sa mga songs from early 2010s by my main pop gurlies, at saka, talaga namang dance-able ang song na ito. Well, its a good performance, the choreo was clean, the energy was there, kaso 8 lang yung binigay ko sa kanya na score kasi may hinahanap ako sa performance nya, like a certain charm, parang good aura ganun. But other than that, she did a real good job.
Karl - We Found Love
Rate: 10/10
Yasss! My favorite dance of the session (Of course, bukod sa akin)! Well, given the song choices, hindi na talaga ako nagulat na miss Karl snappedt, like, she did what is needed to be done. So here's the reasons bakit ko to naging favorite:
Another song from a main pop gurlie from the early 2010s (yas, i have some real bias sa mga songs na nakaka-unlock ng certain parts of my childhood so yeah)
The choreo was really clean! yung tipong parang si Ma'am Tal yung nagchoreo herself, the basic steps was there, the energy was there, the cleanliness was there, pati there's a progression!
I feel like Karl really put some thought sa piece na to, I can see itin his eyes, na masaya sya sa ginagawa nya, and that dancing also brings him joy. Nakikita ko yun sa mata. Kaya nga after mag sayaw, grabe yung clap ko sa kanya, na napansin pala ni Ma'am, sabi ya kar KArl nag-enjoy daw ako sobra, well, where's the lie.
After his performance, kinabahan ako, gusto ko maipakita ko yung same fire and intensity dun sa performance ko. Basta, KArl really just did that!
Rebecca - Outro: Ego
Rate: 9/10
Miss Rebecca's performance is also really good! I have the same notes sa performance nya tulad nung kay Karl, kaso pwera lang yung bias, di kasi ako familiar sa song so hindi ako masyadong napasayaw, but yung energy ni Miss Rebecca na may pa-lead pa at verbal instructions, it made up naman dun sa fact na hindi talaga ako fan ng K-Pop. It was easily a 10 also kung hindi lang sya sumunod kay Karl.
Arman - All My Friends
Rate: 8/10
Ok, I'm so conflicted with this one lol. I like the song choice, kasi out of all the high intensity workouts we had ng sunod-sunod, we need a slow song para breather, plus I love any songs from the underrated kween herself, miss Tinashe. So etong sayaw ni pareng Arman... nakukulangan ako sa energy, yung steps ay di ganun ka dynamic, but it was good pa rin naman. Pero despite dun sa negative comments ko, sobra akong nag-enjoy sa sayaw na to lol, there are some wrongs, pero bahagi yun ng charm nung piece itself! Imma add this song to my playlist na right away, I'll be back!
Kyle - September
Rate: 5/10
This might be my least performance of the day... Of course, wala akong problem kay Sir Kyle anu, halata namang hindi talaga sya nagpeperform, but ang cute nya kaya habang sumasayaw. medyo lackluster lang talaga yung energy na nabigay nya for this perf, tas medyo hindi pa suited yung ilang steps sa ilang parts nung kanta. A missed opportunity kasi September is a very good song to dance to.
Owel - Photo ID (Remix)
Rate: Perfection/10
Save the best for later of course. Chz. Dahil ako yung pinakapang-huli sa class na ito, I had the opportunity para i-apply yung mga notes ni Ma'am sa mga nauna sakin.
Overall, I am satisfied namans sa naging performance ko. I hope madali nilang nasabayan kasi, I'l admit medyo nag-overthink talaga ako (like I always do) nung nag-iisip ng mga steps.

Like last week, marami din kaming sinayaw. Its 15 songs y'all! 15 SONGS! But sadly sa dami ng sinayaw namin, Sweet But Psycho lang by the queen Ava Max lang yung naalala ko, mainly because mostly spanish songs mga pinatugtog ni Ma'am Tal plus I lost track nung mga pang lima na, I was much focused thinking kelan ba to matatapos. Alab!
✨Week 8 Friday Session✨
Today is the first session we had since reading break (walang Week 7 Fri and Week 8 Wed because of it), and as usual, we did some dancey dancey, pero this time ang mga sinayaw namin ay K-Pop and P-Pop songs! actually namiss ko sumayaw as workout, plano ko nga sana mag choreograph na ng dances nung reading break kaso talagang pinanindigan ko yung breal sa reading break so nopeee.
Gusto ko sanang i-list yung mga kantang sinayaw namin, kaso bukod sa half of them ay korean at hindi ko alam ang title, di ko rin alam yung mga p-pop songs na pinatugtog ni Ma'am Tal, ang tanging alam ko lang dun ay Bongga Ka 'Day by Hotdog.
As for the aerobic dance workout for the day, wala rin namang pinagbago actually, we did some warm-up, we had four songs (mix of k-pop and p-pop) for the main work-out, then a pre-cooldown, and cooldown. so we just had some varieties of the basic steps of aerobic dancing ang pinagkaiba lang, iba yung music mwehehehehehe.

✨Week 6 Friday Class✨
Today, of course, we tried aerokick-boxing some more! Although my arms are still very sore from last Wednesday's workout, I still managed to enjoy this session. I can say this might be my favorite session ever.

So yessssss, this is probably my most favorite lesson for this semester! Yaaaaas!
Aerokick-boxing is sooooo much fun. Sya yung pinaka high intensity ss lahat ng workouts na tinuro sa min, pero that's what makes it fun, parang lahat ng tensyon ko sa katawan nawalaaaaaa.
Sa lahat ng mga workouts na ginawa namin, this one is probably the one na gagawin ko araw araw siguro HAHAHHAAHAHAH but I will definitely add this to my workout routine.

Pac-Man!
✨Week 6 Wednesday Class✨
Ok, hear me out, this might be my favorite class session we had (or we ever had who knows). Today, we did some kickboxing!!
I'm not unfamiliar sa kickboxing, kaya naman grabe yung excitement ko nung nalaman ko nung third session, nung pinakita ni Ma'am Tal yung schedule namin for the semester, na we will do some kickboxing!
At first nakakapagod talaga sya, lalo na wala ako sa mood nung mga oras na yun, let's just say a very important person hose to cut me off in his life, I was really in a bad mood, but dahil class itu, at dahil nga exercise brings endorphins and endorphins makes people happy, I decided to roll along with it. Umaasa akong I will feel better after the workout.
Here are some of the songs we kickboxed to!
Wait, can have a moment to fanboy for a sec? Pagkatugtog nung Tucked parang may switch na nagpaboost sa akin, grabe its one of my happy songs! To my classmate na nagsuggest ng Tucked kay Maam Tal, Mabuhay ka! sana masarap ulam nyo!
For the post-workout thoughts, here are the things na tumatakbo sa isip ko:
Aerokickboxing is the best sa lahat ng aero dance wokouts na tinuro ni Maam Tal.
Eto yung session na sobra yung pawis ko, as in I am drenched in sweat mga kaibigan.
Nakakarelax sya, like I mentioned kanina, medyo Im not the right headspce because of a person, grabe, while dancing narerelax yung katawan ko at the same time. Bawat suntok releases ng ressed anger and confusion cheret.

True Colors!
Surprisingly, a very chill song, a song na di mo aakalain na pwede pala maging aerobic dance workout song ang naging defining song for this session. Yas Miss Cyndi Lauper! Werk!
✨Week 5 Friday Session✨
So today, the lesson is all about stretching and proper pre-cooldown and cooldown.
Prior to this class, meron na rin naman akong prior knowledge on what cooldown is, given my dance and theatre background. Ginagawa sya para hindi mabigla yung katawan na kakatapos lang gumawa ng vigorous movements tas bigla magiging at rest. Basically kabaligtaran ng warm-up. Literally and figuratively.
Pero Ma'am Tal expanded what I though about cooldowns. Sa cooldown pala, we stretch yung mga muscles natin na sobrang nastress sa ating workout, so parang its a way for the body to release the tension dala ng main work-out ganern. Ma'am Tal also taught us the three kinds of stretching.
So, bale every aerobic dance workout namin, kailangan naming mag-add ng two additional dances, as pre-cooldown (para di mabigla katawan sa stretching) at cooldown (para di mabigla ang katawan sa sudden rest)

At first I mistake this song for a song from Robyn's 2019 album, Honey. Ganito kasi yung feel, but apparently its by Bonnie Bailey and released way back 2005. Its actually good, Maam Tal really has ✨taste✨
✨Week 5 Wednesday Session✨
Today's lesson revolves around warm-ups!
As a performance artist na yung body ang main instrument in doing art, I'm very much familiar of what warm-ups are, sila yung nagcocondition sa body bago sumabak sa rigorous activities. Sa theatre nga, yung warm-up even extends to certain levels, not only physical, but also spiritual 🙏
But then again, mayroon din palang warm-up na for aerobic dance! And yun ang tinuro sa amin ni Ma'am Tal.

Return of the Mack!
It was our assigment last meeting na alamin yung kantang pinag-sample-an ni G-Eazy ng instrumentals for Provide, and eto yung lumabas sa aking research, its Return of the Mack by Rick Morrison! Di ako familiar sa song, pero when I listened to it, isa sya sa mga songs na parang nagpa-time travel sa kin to 90s New York. I really like songs na parang nagdadala sa kin to a very specific time and place.

For today's classes naman, we were asked by Ma'am Tal to create our own choreography sa Provide by G-Eazy na inaral namin last meeting. Omg, liek, my inner choreographer is shookt.
Buti naman yung verses at yung bridge lang naman yung pinabago ni Ma'am samin. Pero somehow, nagawan ko rin ng choreography yung chorus #BidaBida lol.
Share ko lang din, nakita ni Ma'am Tal yung choreo ko, and na very good nya akoooo. Yey!

Provide!
I'm not a huge G-Eazy fan talaga. I'm a fan of rap music pero di ko gusto yung rapping style nya, I'm more of a speed rap fan (Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Qveen Herby) plus, di ko nagustuhan yung ginawa nya kay Halsey kaya ekis na talaga sya sakin.
But this song is surprisingly good... At eto yung music namin for our Home Video number 1!

So, umulan ng sobrang lakas so my internet went a little sketchy, plus wala ako sa usual place ko kaya naman naging sketchy talaga yung internet connection ko. Kaya naman hindi ko natapos yung class today, so saddt :((
