Hey, I just wanted to update y’all. After some hard debate we sold/pawned a few dear things to get out of the hole, and I just got my back pay for worker’s comp. We’re back in ‘tighten the belt’ territory instead of being in dire need now, so I’ll take down the GoFundMe. With any luck we’ll be getting into a cheaper apartment in a couple of months and will officially be able to breathe easier. :) Thank you for spreading the word, I’m very grateful.

So um,

This tumblr of mine has been dead for forever and I’m seriously embarrassed to ask, but I’m in a little financial trouble.

My husband’s been laid off and is currently looking hard for a new job. Normally this would just be an uncomfortable ‘tighten our belts’ scenario since I have a pretty good job, but I was injured at work and out for two weeks. I’m not certain if/when I will be getting paid via worker’s comp, and if the paycheck I get tomorrow is only for the 10 hours I was able to work this past pay period before getting injured I won’t have enough to cover both my car payment and rent. :/

My folks and his are already strapped supporting themselves and other family members, else I’d never turn to the internet for help. I know y’all have your own situations to deal with! There are rental assistance programs here which we’re looking into, but the bank I set up my car loan with isn’t as flexible. I set up a GoFundMe for the ~$145 needed for my car, because without it neither he nor I will be able to find/keep working. I’d be seriously grateful for -anything- that might help us out of this hole caused by unfortunate timing.

🎭 - acting/performing arts

Robin: Oh! Does pretending to be cool under pressure count? I’m pretty good at that. If you mean the pro stuff I...need practice. Lots of it. My voice is best described as...enthusiastic, instruments are too expensive, and I’m not too hot at stepping into a role yet. :Ruya: I wouldn’t say that I’m -stellar-, but I can carry a tune on the pan flute. It passes the time. I’m uncertain about my skills otherwise, since I haven’t had the opportunity or inclination to test them.

Recently I changed Beefy to an Au Ra but it felt wrong, so I changed him back to a Roegadyn but went with Hellsguard this time. I like him much more this way.

I like to think as a character, Beefy is happiest playing number 2 rather than trying to be number 1. He’s a big beefy Roe with a gentle soul, not the most clever or skillful in battle. Would be quicker to break up a fight than partake.
