Mealworm Tales. Part 1: So i have decided to start a mealworm colony, as they are loved by lots of my animals. I opened the drawer to the first batch to see them chowing down on some potato. I got some beetles from my local pet store to help jump start the colony, and they are in a separate tub. They have a warm, dark dresser drawer that they live in, and the starter count is somewhere around 200.
