one evening buck jokes about how funny it is that he and eddie know practically everything about one another (he knows how eddie's blood tastes ffs) yet they don't know how the other kisses. eddie doesn't laugh though, gets a serious look on his face and says, you're right, it's weird there are people out there who know how you kiss, and I don't. we should totally fix that. buck bluescreens and he's helpless to deny eddie anything, so they do. they kiss right there on the couch, eddie pulls back seeming satisfied
except a few days later he grumbles to buck about how there are strangers out there who know what buck is like in bed, and eddie doesn't. and seriously what kind of friend is eddie if he doesn't know? so they pick out a night when they're both off, and they just, have sex. buck fucks him slow and gentle, never braking eye contact the entire time. the next day though eddie is like "well now I know how you feel inside me, I don't know how I feel inside you" and so a couple of days later, they do it again, eddie topping this time. they're barely coming down from their high when eddie says "I still don't know how your mouth feels around me" so they find out. "I don't know how my mouth feels stretched around you" "how you feel riding me" "how you feel bending me over the kitchen table and fucking me" "how cuddling with you feels" "what your morning breath tastes like" "how holding your hand feels"
and that's the story of how buck and eddie stumble their way into a relationship ("I still don't know how you feel like as a boyfriend") and eventually marriage ("okay but I don't know how you feel like as a fiancé" "eddie, no one does." "damn right they don't." "wait are you proposing??")

Someone points out to Buck how everything he does with Eddie seems like something couples do together. Maybe a B-shifter asks how they manage to find time to do date nights and how they handle babysitting with Chris since both of them are always on shift together. Buck freaks because "it's totally normal to get dinner and a movie alone with your best friend", to which Chim or Hen goes "yeah, but you don't do that with anyone else."
So, of course, to prove that he and Eddie are completely platonic, he starts doing everything he usually does with Eddie, with Ravi instead.
Cue a very confused Ravi wondering why he's being wined and dined by Buck, who he knows to be in a very happy and committed relationship, (they worked through a divorce and separation!). He is so confused (are they... Is this a subtle way of trying to feel out if he's interested in being a Third? Because respectfully he just doesn't see them that way).
Meanwhile, Eddie is standing in the corner like a kicked puppy in the rain because he's back and everything was finally almost normal again but suddenly his best friend is refusing to look at him and doing everything they usually do together with Ravi of all people- the guy Buck tried to chase with a chainsaw
Hen finally puts a stop to the nonsense when she finds Eddie scream-sing-crying to de ja vu by Olivia Rodrigo in his car after a shift of him trying to act like Mr. Soldier-no-feelings
#eddie: DO YOU GET DEJA VU WHEN SHES WITH YOU#hen: for the love of all things good PLEASE talk to each other

Buck really invited Ravi to a night out and talked about Eddie the entire time while drinking then slept with his ex. Like that ACTUALLY happened. Not in a fanfic but in the fucking show.

chris has a rebellious phase where he sneaks around, goes to parties and drinks you know dumb teenager things because he's still hurting and therapy isn't helping as fast as he'd like it to. so he makes poor decisions.
Inevitably someone at one of these parties gets alchohol poisoning and everybody else runs. I think it needs to be someone who was at the party because of chris maybe even denny. chris is told to run but calls 911 instead
chris doesn't give dispatch his or denny's name but of course the 118 respond to it anyway. dispatch has trouble locating them at first.
and oh my god I think this could have lawsuit arc levels of drama and anger. I think logically, rationally and proffesionally if a kid brought his friend to a party and that friend ended up with alchohol poisoning hen would be stern but empathetic towards that kid. but it's her son who nearly died. and well she almost let a woman that she used to love enough to cheat on her wife with die because she messed with her son so i think there would be some tention there. because of the nature of the 118 hen pulling a pretty standard parenting move of not letting chris be around denny anymore after this incident is enough. the implication that it's chris's fault and that he's a bad influence on denny would be enough to cause arguments.
chimney the best friend vs captain chimney having to decide how to handle a dispute between members of his team. knowing what bobby would feel about it versus wanting to defend his best friend even if she might be wrong. moving one of them to a different shift is as good as picking a side but he needs two paramedics who are not at war with eachother.
(maybe bobby is alive but he's permanately forced to retire and he can't just step in and solve all of their problems as much as he wants to step in and mediate this situation for the sake of his family. but chim is captain. for once all of bobby's advice is how to handle the conflict on a personal level he's not their captain he's just their friend)
while hen and eddie are being overprotective parents at eachother buck is the one who has gotten to talk to both chris and denny about it. denny in no way blames chris for what happened in fact chris was the one who kept reminding denny he didn't have to drink if he didn't want to that he didn't have to just because chris was. denny is devastated that he can't talk to chris because in his mind chris saved his life. he stayed despite whatever consequences he might face. chris one hundred percent blames himself for what happened he's hurt that he's not allowed to see denny. he hasn't even been allowed to see that denny is safe for himself or even talk to him. although chris is convinced denny's better off without him.
that karen and buck are texting eachother trying to get their respective partners to calm down and resolve the issue (although in this case it's another example of buck coparenting chris and acting as eddie's partner despite not dating him)
buddie partners again but maybe hen is mad because eddie gets something he wanted and is petty about it so buck gets put with hen in the ambulance for a few calls and that's rough because buck is chris's other parent but they're able to be more civil about it. throughout the different calls buck wears hen down to be more objective.
in the end there's a call where two kids put themselves in a dangerous situation to see eachother after their parents say they're not allowed to be friends anymore and the injuries are complex enough that eddie and hen have to work togther and realize whats really best for their kids

eddie: do you remember that time when buck—
ravi: no. no. i am NOT doing this again.
eddie: what?
ravi: you do NOT get to take me out for drinks just to talk about buck the whole time.
eddie: this hasn’t happened before…
ravi: yes it has, only last time it was buck talking about you.
eddie, blushing: he talked about me? what did he say?
ravi: you better pray i don’t find one of your exes here.
eddie: what.

Ravi: Hey, Buck, everyone says you used to travel a lot before coming to LA. How did you afford it all?
Buck: Well, I did live out of my Jeep for the longest time, so camping was fun. Cuddled with a wolf one night, she was super sweet. Ate my steak too.
Buck: I almost joined a cult, but thankfully I took off and never looked back. Someone offered lodging but I wasn't that desperate.
Buck: Did a lot of odd jobs, too. I had a full-time job, and I showed up twice a year, so that covered a lot of medical debt and Jeep mechanic expenses.
Chim: What.
Bobby: -sighs-
Eddie: What job was it?
Hen: Yeah, I'm curious.
Buck: Oh! I go up those really tall towers that go past the clouds and change a light bulb! It's nothing too complicated. Lots of steps tho.
Everyone:
Buck: What? What did I say?
Bobby: -sighs harder-
Hen: I have so many questions.
Eddie:...
Eddie: You're still doing it, aren't you? You disappear for a week without telling anyone twice a year.
Buck: Weeeeellllll
Eddie: YOU'RE QUITTING RIGHT NOW
Buck: -sighs- there goes my cardigan money 😔

And the way Buck was so quick to support Chim dating his sister speaks to how highly he regards the man. This is his sister. At this point the only person he's sure has ever loved him. And she JUST left an abusive marriage. Her safety, comfort, snd happiness it of the upmost importance. He's pretty sure they'd be happy together. But more importantly, he is 100% confident that if things didn't work out, his sister would still always be safe with Chimney
