Day 28 - Storybook

"Hey hey. I found this old book in the storage room. Wanna read it with me? It's about the tale of Momotaro."

"Momo...huh? Momowarou?"

"...no."

Yasashi thought she could indulge the twins into the good ol' tale of Momotaro, but...Dennis thought of the Pokémon based on that tale, instead, irritating her a bit.

Day 25 - Crossover

In the last Inktober (and the one before it), I drew a crossover between Sugar Rush and Danganronpa, my favourite game series. For this Inktober, however, I decided to try something different and instead draw a crossover with my other favourite series, Pokémon. So...here's a wholesome interaction between the icy and sporty ski expert and the motherly Ice type Gym Leader. And Lapras is here, too.

Day 26 - Swap AU

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear "Swap AU" is perhaps one of the most well know: gender swap. To me, it's both easy and fun, as it gives you the freedom to tweak a character's design and if needed their name to fit the opposite gender, effectively turning guys into girls and vice versa.

I remember sketching the racers gender swapped on paper, and drawing 3 of them in digital last year. But this year...I drew all 16 gender swapped racers!

Jubileena Bing-Bing: The Icing On The Cake

"One look at his racing car and it's obvious that Jubileeno is as sweet as a cherry pie. His cheerful smile and his enthusiasm are really contagious. Despite being one of the best racers of Sugar Rush, he doesn't always aim for the finish line. Winning is nice, but in the end, the only thing that really matters is love!"

Jubileeno Bing-Bing is the ultimate "cherry boy" with a bright, cheerful personality that's hard to ignore. Always full of energy and enthusiasm. He’s playful and loves to tease, often calling others sweet nicknames like “love” or “sweetheart,” adding a flirtatious edge to his interactions. With his easygoing and affectionate nature, he doesn’t hesitate to give a quick hug or playful kiss, even to his fellow male racers—who sometimes find it a bit surprising.

Day 21 - Viral

Viral video? Uh...how about a viral fever? Darkogi fell ill, and thus is unable to work on his machines and gadgets. Lucky his soulmate is by his side, and double lucky that one of his friends is a health nut. Or, I guess, not so lucky for him on the latter part...? ">.>

"Round-faced little hooligan Gloydette Orangeboar loves nothing more than candy, candy, candy! Fortunately for her, Sugar Rush has plenty to choose from and she enjoys it all. For this fast-racing prankster, every day is Halloween."

Personality:

Gloydette “Gladys” Orangeboar is a little hooligan with a knack for causing trouble wherever she goes. She’s a playful trickster who loves pranks and sweets. She’s a tomboy and isn’t the type to sit still for anything “ladylike.” At heart, she’s a goth chick, obsessed with horror movies and Halloween. She enjoys messing with everyone except Vanilliam, her rightful ruler, whom she deeply respects and is loyal to.

Day 19 - Arts & Crafts

Alucard snuck into Sticky's art room to make some props for Halloween, and it looks like Rei and Toffifee decided to join him. They've having fun with arts and crafts, no doubt, but it won't be long until Sticky returns and sees the mess left behind by the three kids, who are not the most careful with her art supplies.

Day 20 - Sweet VS Sour

"Nia? You good?"

Lemonia thought she could endure a sour lemon. After all, her theme is lemon marmalade, and she has "Lemon" in her name. Surely she's one with the lemon, right? Well...wrong. She can't handle the sour.

Day 18 - Game Jumping

What better way to spend a day off racing than to visit other games and messing around for the fun of it? That's what Swizzle and Gloyd are up to, with them not being among today's avatars. And it looks like they decided to cause some fiery mess in the game of the jumpmen themselves, the Super Mario Bros.

Day 17 - Mask

The festival continues! While the girls are having fun with music, the boys dragged their partners along to have some fun with the masks that were provided to them. Of course, Gloyd took this as a good excuse to scare Rancis with an oni mask...no surprise there.

Day 16 - New Avatar Unlocked

Gabrielle, Kentroy and Abby were about to race a lap across Sugar Rush as practice when they caught sight of two new faces on the race track. They didn't recall their parents saying anything about new racers joining the roster, but regardless, their curiosity was piqued as they went to meet the two newbies.

Who are these two? Well, I'll reveal that later.

Equinoth Masterpost - Monster Hunter fan-Monster  

Finally, I’m done with this project! It took forever but I’m glad with how it came out. 

This compiles a good amount of the data I came up with for my Monster Hunter fan-species, Equinoth. The creation of this beast started when I realized the current lore of MH didn’t show any ‘horse’ creature, meaning a fast mount that would be commonly used by civilians outside of quests (thus riding Jagras in MHWI doesn’t count, and ‘Riders’ only concern a tiny part of the population).

As mentioned in the masterpost, the idea is not to imagine Hunters hunting Monsters like knights on horses, but simply to fill a hole in the MH world-building.

I might work on an armor design made from Equinoth parts at some point?

Day 14 - Love

People fall in love, people fall out of love, but what's important is that you cherish the memories you made with those you hold dear to your hearts.

I challenged myself to draw all of my ships (minus Calem and Prancy, these two are dense af), and the idea I came up with was a pile of photos highlighting their moments together. And I also messed around with some brushes to add a sunlight effect to it. Definitely the one I'm most proud of.

Day 12 - Escape

The good ol' Escape Room. Who doesn't like them? The thrill of the puzzle solving, the anticipation of the moment you escape the room, and...oh, I guess claustrophobia, too. Well, what's more important right now? Solving the puzzles and getting out of here? Or helping a friend in the middle of a panic attack?
