"Well, nothing much," Fionna shrugged. "My name's Fionna. What're you doing in The Land off Ooo?"

“Hey,” She grinned, looking her over. “I’m Mika. ‘Sup?”

"Aqualad?" Fionna smiled. "Uh, I'm Fionna."

“Uh…h-hello. I’m uh…I-I’m Aqualad…”

"Oh, hey there Marsh! Nothing much, just hangin'. What about you?"

Alternate universe...alternate universe..

Fionna had heard about this before. The details of everything were still very fuzzy, but she decided not to stray into the confusion.

"Oh! Uh..Yeah, okay. Well, it's really nice to meet you, uh....Marceline, I think it was?"

“There’s a whole bunch of alternate universe hoo-ha going on, but I’m basically Ooo’s Marshall Lee.”

"Ha! - sounds like plan." Fionna's mood seemed to take a slight dip down at the mention of being the last human. She knew how awful thinking about it was...and it would be nice to meet another, even if he was from another universe! And, he would feel the same, right? At least she and Bubblegum both thought so.

While Bubblegum was obviously trying to hide her sudden change in attitude at the mention of the vampire, Fionna caught the few gestures and signs, immediately regretting bringing up such a subject. "M-Marceline, huh?" She laughed nervously, rubbing the back of her neck. "Yeah..."

Quick, quick change the subject.

"So...So, Finn. Finn, alternate self to me. What can you tell me about him? Is he really like me?"

Really, though, Fionna wouldn't have been surprised at all, seeing how similar all the others were to one another.

“Aww, thanks, that’s sweet,” Bubblegum said with a smile, tilting her head a little to one side. “I think Finn would be thrilled to work together with you. The two of you would get along remarkably well, and I think he could use a friend with as much energy as he has… Knowing he’s not the only human left would probably make his day, too.”

At the mention of Marshall — and, subsequently, the thought of Marceline — the smile on her face would have vanished altogether if not for her valiant efforts to keep it in place. Smiling at a time like this wasn’t of any life-changing importance, but a princess couldn’t go around making sour faces at heroes, even if this one happened to be from an odd parallel universe.

“Oh, yes,” she answered with a barely-contained note of acidity, as if to match her strained expression. “Her name is Marceline — the Vampire Queen, as I’m sure you’ve already guessed.”

"Wow, that's a really pretty name!" Fionna grinned, placing a hand on her chin. "Well, Astrid, what brings ya to Ooo?"

“Hey! I’m Astrid.”

Fionna stared at the girl, trying to follow. Universes? Like...worlds or stuff? Like The Spirit World or The Crystal Dimension, right? That had to be what she was talking about, and Fionna could only assume.

She smiled. "Uh..hey, that's alright. Where are you from, Nightfall?"

“Oh im sorry! I’m nightfall. I guess i must have switched universe…” She pouted.
