In regards of the Trump government scraping all trans inclusion in its queer information portion of its websites I have made this thing. Spread the word. Don't let them pretend we never existed.

P.S: Don't like! Reblog! <3
EDIT: Well this got a lot of attention! I got a few users asking to print or repost my art and I am unimaginably grateful to everyone's interest, especially since it's a really simple drawing I made on a whim haha! Anyone who is looking to print these out to hang or hand out or repost on another platform is free to do so, although I ask you to credit me and let people know it's from my Tumblr profile! If anyone wishes to do anything else with my art or post and wants to clarify what I consent to then they can message me privately and I'll explain! <333 all my love to my queer siblings
EDIT: I made an LGBTQIA+ version with a focus on trans and intersex folks, it's on my pinned if you prefer this version of the acronym.

USA people! Buy NOTHING Feb 28 2025. Not anything. 24 hours. No spending. Buy the day before or after but nothing. NOTHING. February 28 2025. Not gas. Not milk. Not something on a gaming app. Not a penny spent. (Only option in a crisis is local small mom and pop. Nothing. Else.) Promise me. Commit. 1 day. 1 day to scare the shit out of them that they don't get to follow the bullshit executive orders. They don't get to be cowards. If they do, it costs. It costs.
Then, if you can join me for Phase 2. March 7 2025 thtough March 14 2025? No Amazon. None. 1 week. No orders. Not a single item. Not one ebook. Nothing. 1 week. Just 1.
If you live outside the USA boycott US products on February 28 2025 and stand in solidarity with us and also join us for the week of no Amazon.
Are you with me?
Spread the word.

How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways…
Trump administration approves seismic tests that could harm thousands of Atlantic dolphins and whales
The Trump administration took an important step toward future oil and natural gas drilling off the Atlantic shore, approving five requests allowing companies to conduct deafening seismic surveys that could harm tens of thousands of dolphins, whales and other marine animals, according to studies.
In an announcement Friday, the National Marine Fisheries Service, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, declared that it issued final “incidental take” authorizations permitting companies conducting the surveys to harm wildlife if its unintentional.
“NOAA Fisheries is clear in the documentation related to [incidental take authorizations] that we do not expect mortality to occur as a result of these surveys,” said a spokeswoman, Katherine Brogan. But numerous scientific studies show acoustic sound can harm and potentially kill animals.

Not really taking part in Inktober, but everyone’s creating such great stuff I wanted to contribute at least a little.

Fields where men get paid millions to do the exact same thing as women who get paid… fewer millions, are a nice illustration of how blatant misogyny can be, but uh… I don’t actually want those women to get paid more to match the unconscionable wealth of those men.
It’s not one of my feminist goals for a few incredibly privileged women to join their incredibly privileged male peers in hoarding ridiculous amounts of wealth for status and fun while people are dying for want of food and appropriate medical care and housing.
I’m more interested in building a world where it’s unthinkable to selfishly hoard the resources others are dying for. My feminist goal is for no woman anywhere to be trapped in an abusive home because she can’t afford to leave, for no woman anywhere to be imprisoned for crimes of poverty, for no woman anywhere to slowly die from malnutrition or exposure or treatable illness.
The women who receive far more money than they need and do not distribute the excess to those who desperately need it, the women who choose status and power and luxury over solidarity and mutual aid – those women do not need or deserve my help in hoarding even more wealth. They are not my feminist sisters; they are oppressors of poor women everywhere.
The resources our society as a whole has created are being funnelled year by year into a smaller and smaller pool of hyperrich people who do nothing to counteract the injustice of their wealth. My goal is not to make that tiny pool of resource-hoarders half women.
It’s to find ways to change the society that allows and even encourages the hoarding of the tools people need to survive. My other goal in the meantime is to contribute to systems of mutual aid and engage in other forms of activism to help protect actually vulnerable women from misogyny and all other intersecting forms of oppression.

what is the best advice you have ever received/heard/read as it pertains to creativity?
that everyone starts as a beginner. no one wrote/made/created the masterpiece they’re famous for without years and years of some kind of practice.
your taste in art is the reason you started in the first place which is a pretty high standard to set. as our own worst critics, we’ll probably never fully reach that standard but it’s important to remember why we started and what we’re working towards. you’re here to join the conversation of the people you admire. you’re here because you have something to say.
you only can find success by creating things and finishing things. you need to write poem after poem, story after story. make painting after painting. you learn by doing and finishing the projects you start. you become successful by having many pieces to show off - something is bound to gain attention.
sometimes all you need is to step away from it for a while - come back to the piece after time has passed. we are our own worst critics and it is hard to be objective when you’re still so connected to the piece.
creating even when you don’t want to create, when you feel like you have nothing to create - that’s when you push yourself out of your comfort zone and create the most interesting pieces
sitting down to free write for a set amount of time before doing any kind of writing/creative project will allow you to unload all the thoughts in your head and start fresh
immerse yourself in all kinds of media for inspiration. read outside your genre. watch documentaries on subjects you know nothing about. stay updated on the news. let the world around you inspire your work in new directions.
