“A little. But I don’t mind the cold.”

“I do not know.” Olivia pursed her lips. “I never said threat. I am relieved to hear you don’t see me as one though.”
“Do you always do that?”

“You’ve been avoiding me since we met. You think I’m going to hurt you, but I’m not. There is a reason both of us are here. We ran from something, right? I did. I ran from my fiancee. So, if you think I’m out to get you or sell you out you’re wrong.”
“And how do you know I won’t hurt you? What makes you think you’re a threat to me? because you’re not.”

“I’m still trying to figure out my type, to be honest.”
“Lucky for you, it’s not required by law for you to have one. Some people just really like people.”

“-Oh. I try to avoid dating blondes because then people ask if you’re sisters all the time and that’s like weird. Not that I wouldn’t but..”
“”My ex was a brunette so I don’t think I want to date another. But I get what you mean. We all have a type.”

“I have to admit, that could have gone a lot better. Promise not to say anything?”
“Well that didn’t seem to go quite as planned.”

“Which one? The red-head or the brunette?”
“I know I shouldn’t get all mushy over strangers, but did you see her?”

“Noooo, don’t laugh. I hated every second of it. But you know, small southern town kind of thing.” Eva covered her face trying to hide the blush creeping across her cheeks. “So let me get this straight, you can kick ass with your words and your fists? Totally never getting on your bad side.” She laughed though, a genuine smile settling on her face. “If you promise that you won’t laugh if I’m bad at it, I’ll totally come along.”
“Where are you from? Or is that too personal?” She grins. “I’ve only recently started learning anything that could ‘kick some ass’ I promise I’m not that impressive. And I won’t laugh at all, scout’s honor.”

“A little bit of scary is good though. I always wanted to do like martial arts, but instead I got pageants…” She shuddered lightly just thinking about how much makeup and hair product she had been covered in. “And now I’m just so used to low levels of exercise, I’m really not motivated to do more.”
“I’m a regular old couch potato.”
“You were a pageant girl? With the fluffy dresses and tiaras?” She giggles. “I’m not trying to make fun of you! That’s adorable. And if you were interested in some sort of self-defense classes I am taking one later in the week if you want to join me. I love exercise and am at that fitness place all the time it’s ridiculous almost!”
“There is nothing wrong with that.”

“I switched carriers when I left, and I really think that did the trick as far as people I don’t want to reach me finding out my new number.” Eva waved her hand, dismissing the need for an apology. “Just remind me to stay on your good side, alright?”
“That is a smart idea! I might just pick a crappy one until the hype dies down with this person.” She laughs a bit. “I am not that scary I promise. And it takes a lot to make me that upset.”

“All right, all right I believe you. I was a little shocked to hear it come out of your mouth anyways. So who earned that line then?”
“I am learning that even the stupidest of people can figure out your new phone number. It is no one who is a concern to me anymore.” She smiles at the girl. “I’m sorry again.”
